• Muse from view of compatibility of Internet Explorer 11 - on intranet pages

  Hello

  We recently started using Adobe Muse to create intranet sites for our company. What happens is that Internet Explorer 11 is by default set to 'intranet Sites to view in compatibility view '. This setting can be changed in tools > compatibility view settings and uncheck "display intranet sites in compatibility view. However, we do not want to ask end users to do this just to display an intranet site.

  The compatibility view is causing pages to appear broken, hover over the items that don't appear not correctly, pages have text where text should not be, layouts are off, etc.

  I tried a meta tag to override this setting in IE11 and it works. The tag will in your html < head > to disable compatibility view and display the page normally. It's this meta tag: < meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 11" / >

  When I entered the following meta tag in Muse > Page Properties > metadata, Internet Explorer will not picking up the meta tag to turn off compatibility view. I read about this and it's because the entered meta tag is placed near the end of the < head > tag - close to the < / head > tag. When I go into Dreamweaver to edit the html code, I place the < meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 11" / > tag just below the head of <>tag, save and try to open the page in IE11 on my intranet. It works! Compatibility view gets turned OFF

  I don't want to keep tweaking the html metadata whenever I publish. Is it possible to precisely place this line of code in a project Muse so they could publish at the top of the list in the < head > area? It's about saving lives.

  We understand the demand to be able to settle this in the .html files generated by Muse, but it is very unlikely to be part of a release of the Muse before the summer. Thus the only timely at this address way is to configure the server to include a response header specific when serving files .html in the structure of the folders in your site. "Server configuration" seems the whole, but in general, this means putting a few lines in a configuration file in the folder root of your site, but exactly what needs to be done is very specific to the server used.

• View Portal - graph of change?

  Someone had the need to change the graphics or the appearance / portal for their environment?  If so, how did you do it so you don't break anything? This doesn't seem to be a process supported in view (ie. it is not in the documentation I can find) but I need to do for the localized label. The simplest best - I can live with the fonts, but the graphics VMware and view portal must be replaced.

  This has been the topic of many discussions and if it is not supported I don't think it breaks anything.    The last post in the thread linked below details how they have changed some of the graphics.

  Difficult to view the connected customer details.  The customer is able to register on my site, but when he enters his user name and password I don't know how to display Welcome username message and pass the link to login to logout. AFTE same as the client connects it still shows login. Please look at the picture for more details.

• T5520 HP with Windows CE 5.0 can not connect to VMware View Portal

  I tried the VMware View 3 solution in a test environment, I have already tested with my laptop configuration

  and when I decided to start trying with a thin client questions start

  First of all, I look in the compatibility guide for a customer support light HP and I got the HP T5520 with a Windows CE 5.0 operating system.

  and when I try to log in to the portal to view VMware via http:// < Server ip & gt; I got an error indicating that the operating system is not compatible wich I do not understand because the compatibility guide says it's compatible

  After that I tried to do a manual install through execution of the installer and the system there is no enough space to install which is meaningless too.

  I'll apreciate any help because I can't understand how this model may appear as compatible and give me this questions to test my VMware View solution

• Creating views portals based on Pools of resources

  Hi all

  I'm trying to create portals customized for each of our clients. We have customers grouped into resource pools. What I'm trying to accomplish is to add all the systems within a resource group in the portal display. If I drag on the resource pool, it displays the metric only for the pool of resources in a holistic manner. I want that all the systems within the list of resources to display and show the memory, CPU, and other measures that I specify, individually, without having to add each machine individually. I don't want to have to add each machine individually, because there are hundreds. But in addition to this, I want to be certain that if new guests are added to these resource pools in the future that they are automatically added to the portal for visibility as well.

  It seems that I did once already, but I can't understand how I did it. Points of view. data, feature etc. for the portal view are almost overwhelming amount of data that are available to monitor and customize. And it is easy to forget.

  You can get a view of 'Service' to all your virtual machines by using the Services or Service generator. Create a service, you can add virtual machines to the new service using the rules when you add components.

• XP PRO PC or by default in the view of compatibility in Yahoo

  After having been aware that Microsoft is so more to support XP programs after the end of the month of March, it has been a matter of concern for some time that we need to update soon.

  We had recently a problem with Yahoo or by default in compatibility view each time, which disables the clunky downloads and links.

  Is it because XP is an old program?

  If anyone knows of any ways to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

• Microsoft Application Center Web Application Portal vs Custom spaces

  I'm still trying to piece together all the different parts of Oracle products and understand the best way to develop applications of personalized spaces.

  I found a tutorial on the creation of new applications of portal, but I don't know if I'm getting confused with technology. Is there a difference between the Applications Center Web portal and spaces?

  If there is a difference could someone please point me to a tutorial on creating applications of personalized spaces that can be performed entirely using JDeveloper and logical server of web integration. Is this possible?

  WebCenter Portal (formerly called spaces) is a pre-built for collaborative intranets WebCenter framework technology solution. It allows you to have N portals with their own security, components and members to collaborate.

  In the case of WebCenter Portal framework to build Portal Applications using WebCenter framework technology, you have to build you a custom solution.

  Differences in development?.

  -WebCenter portal (formerly called spaces) is extended using DesignWebCenterSpaces or portal Extension (in the latest patch) to build and deploy resources, the task of flow etc. in the spaces.

  -WebCenter Framework portal are created directly using JDeveloper and you have 100% you're hands the application to generate the EAR file and deploy.

  Usually, portal (formerly spaces) is deployed in WC_Spaces managed server.

  Portal framework are deployed to WC_CustomPortal (you need to extend the area to have drawings and a managed framework Portal Server).

  Summarize:

  • Tutorial usually use portal framework in order to understand the framework and resources.

  Hello, my name is Mr. Customer.  My VAR tells me I shouldn't run VMs Office through the view on the same hosts and in the same cluster as my server of virtual machines.  Now, I know that normally licenses VMware makes it easier to just buy view with ESX and vCenter, but I did not follow the rules and actually wound up overpaying some licenses. I did not violate any point of the EULA and I want technical answers, why so I can make the right decision and buy a new hardware and do the work stations my users to shine.

  Hello, I am of the VAR and I gave my client some reasons including: better sharing of resources, windows failure, more flexible less impact in the event of power failure, streaming and e/s memory management.  I want to hear from you guys, what do you think?  The best answers are those of our community, so we'll have em and I thank you in advance.

  I don't have the same experience as you all. I am the user as your customer. I separated into two different groups. I think that the point is the priority and dedicated resources. I would not want desktop computers in my Accounting Department (sending of junk e-mail to friends all day) using resources and slow down my accounting system, my e-mail server and important functions. Memory seems to be the first resource exhausted and can accumulate with view. In my office cluster, memory gets sucked upward, long before any amount of CPU is affected.

  At the same time, I have the idea to combine in my DR site so that they can share resources. It's really because I hope I never need this side DR of it but have some resources available for it. This would allow me to work (even if disabled) and resources for an interim period.

  I'm smaller in the sense that I don't have a server and a division of the office. I imagine that your client is not, or they would not think to combine desktop and server computers. And it would be really defined each arm pointing the finger the other problem they have at all.

• The view Portal connects office

  I can log on the portal view on the internet very well. I log in, download the client, then showed up with a list of available jobs. It's just that when I choose one of them to connect, I get a new item in the taskbar for 20-30 seconds, then nothing. I can connect to all sources of internal funds very well, even with the portal.

• Is it Possible to ignore the prompt from the view of the customer for the selection of pool?

  Customer view has the serverURL - and command line parameters - desktopName that work well to specify the Server View Manager or Office to connect to in a one to one relationship but I would ignore the selection of pool as well. I have thin client Labs in our school libraries that use a pool View. I want to clarify the pool when the user clicks on the icon view rather than motivates students to choose the correct pool in the list. I know I can limit the pools shown to students in making our more granular ad groups and allowing only the groups we want to using each pool, but when you have 16 schools, K - 12 classes and thousands of potential users it becomes a management nightmare. It would be much easier to choose the correct pool for them.

  One of the ways I've found to make a direct link with the desktopName - but if we do lose us the benefits of the management of the pools.

  Yes! I tested it: you choose the display name that appears in the list on the client from the view.

• VMware View - Only CD customer?

  We believe any deployment of a few VMware View customers (first time user of VDI so keep the newb questions).  Instead of thin clients, we plan to reuse some desktop computers more aged (they were strong enough to run Vista).  I read somewhere that there is Linux available customer base that does not require installation (their boot off CD); Anyone know what we call them?

  Also later, we will execute on old computers to office if anyone has a recommendation on the type of computer Thinclient to go?  (i.e.: brand / model).

  You can very easily create your own client. Use a distribution like Knoppix or Suse Studio allows you to create a bootable cd. Then, you can implement the View Open Client:

• Question view screen with custom fields

  I've developed a class that extends the scope and Implements DrawStyle. The field contains a bitmap with text drawn on the left of the it... nothing too complicated. I made focasable, has erased layout and drawFocus, painting, etc., but I'm having a Visual anomaly.

  On my screen (no title), I added a LabelField (non-active), and then a BitmapField (non-Focus), followed by a number of my custom fields. When the first screen, everything looks great. My first custom control has focus and is drawn as such.

  The problem occurs when I scroll through the custom control 3rd to 4th (causing the screen scroll), the 2nd custom control appears twice, the 3rd is missing and the 4th has the focus. There are also some white background that starts to show through (my controls are all black and is so the bottom of the screen and other controls).

  Of course, I'm having some trouble of painting, but it is certainly related to scrolling.

  What methods should be overritten in a custom control to ensure the scrolling will work properly?

  Which must be defined in the screen?

  1. prepare your screen unscrollable as:

  Super (NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL);

  2 use a VerticalFieldManager to add all of your components.

  Make sure verticalManager Scrollable and set its size and background color.

  Something like:

          mainManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR)
          {
              //setting background color
              protected void paintBackground(Graphics graphics)
              {

  3. now add this to your screen.

  Now your screen does not scroll and you will not get the white background at the end.

  I will soon implement a solution 5.2 view new Horizon and a whole new Active Directory for it.

  I can't find all the information about the works View Composer and view connection broker 5.2 with 2012 AD DS?

  I'll install vCenter 5.1 with View to compose and broker for connections from view on separate servers to R2 SP1 2008.

  But I wonder if the Active Directory domain must be 2008 R2 version, or if it is possible to use the 2012 for this version?
