Virtual router workstation 7.1 does support DHCP/BOOTP

I have just set up two DHCP servers on my domain and I have four workstations running vmware workstation. Each workstation has 20 + windows XP customers running both. Each VM XP is currently using the internal router VMWares to assign addresses. Now that I have these brilliant new installed DHCP servers and running for my physical machines, I would use my virtual servers DHCP to distribute IP addresses to the XP machines that use virtual router of workstations.

So the virtual router workstations VMWare is consistent to RFC1542 DHCP/BOOTP relay agent capabilities

Thank you

Workstation 7.1 works like a virtual basic router.

No - your host operating system running a NAT service - it is something very different.

If this service doesn't support BOOTP - I think that this isn't - you can use real virtual router - maybe some Linux - VM.

Then you are free to add features to the router...

  • POS 6.0 does support DHCP?

As far as I see it, there is no way to vSphere Data Protection device for the network using DHCP address. And it's annoying because the network admin should have access to the VDP instance to change the address.

Is there a way to change the IP address without granting access to the vDP to network administrator device?

The POS device doesn't support DHCP. A static IP address is required. The IP address of the POS device is changed through the user interface to set up POS where connect you with the credentials of the root have been configured when the unit was first deployed.

  • The EA8500 supports DHCP Option 60/61?

    Hello

I was wondering the EA8500 can be used with sky fiber Pro service to the United Kingdom? Obviously I would need to extract the username of the SR101/102 and then intend to use the modem Openreach VDSL2 with the EA8500 (btw brilliant router) but after some research, I understand the router needs to support DHCP option 60 & 61 in order to connect with the sky. The EA8500 does it take?

    See you soon

    psycho

Linksys engineering has notified me that the EA8500 is not compatible DHCP Option 60/61.

Filed a feature request in support of these DHCP Options. Lets hope it is approved and included.

  • HP J6450 really does support WPA Wireless encryption?

I just bought a new J6450 yesterday, and when I tried to install it as a wireless network my SSID does not appear (even if the PC just next to the printer is connected to my network).  Even when you enter the SSID manually the installation process does not recognize it. There are other SSID in the region that appear during the installation.  I confirmed that my router is broadcasting and the printer was 4 feet from the router, so I know that is not due to the intensity of the signal.

Details of router - NetGear WPN824v3, configured for either 802. 11B or 802.11 g (auto mode), WPA encryption

The only thing I noticed during my research it tonight is the SSID that was listed when installing 2 are encrypted and most of the HP support info and documentation related to the wireless configuration seems to refer essentially to WEP.  If the HP J6450 really does support the WPA encryption, and if so, does anyone have ideas for troubleshooting why it does not recognize my router?

    Thank you.

Connection to the router under the admin user, then "Wireless settings" page is a Mode setting and the default value is "Auto 108 Mbps.  Using the arrow in the drop-down menu, change to "b and g" then set the channel to 'Auto' and save the configuration changes.

  • Satellite L500 does support VMX?

    Hi friends,

I am using Toshiba L500 series, I installed the 64-bit version of Centos 5.3 in my computer successfully, but I want to install another version of centos5.x in the Virtual Machine box, but it was not installed, in the middle of the installation of the Centos 5.x 32 bit it was struck, then please say one, it is very important to me...

    Thanks and greetings

    > Toshiba does support VMX?
Maybe it sounds silly now but Toshiba supports own products only. With other words Toshiba must offer support for hardware and software pre-installed.

If you use a third party software and there is a problem, that you should contact the first software company to see what they say on this subject.
Toshiba has nothing to do with Centos 5.3 and VM box. You can call the hotline of Toshiba and ask, but I'm 100% sure that you will get the same answer.

  • Tecra M10 does support VT?

    Hi all

I have a Tecra M10 - 13 K 8 GB RAM (PTMB0E-01600LGR) BIOS V2.10 with Intel T5870 CPU (which is not taken in charge VT). My Chipset is Intel GM45 Express.
I want to install Ubuntu 9.10 (64 bit) with VMWare Server 2.0.x and create Virtual Machines with Windows 7 (64-bit) and Ubuntu 9.10 (64-bit).

But my CPU does not support the VT!

Now, I want to buy Intel CPU T7250 and replace my old CPU. Would this work? The BIOS must support the? Do I need a new Version of BIOS?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Hello

First of all you cannot use virtual technology if the processor does not support this feature.
Second, the replacement of the CPU is not desirable and often delicate!
The BIOS has not been tested with a different CPU, and no one can tell if the laptop would be stable after an upgrade of the CPU.

Take a look at this Toshiba doc:

  • Oracle 11 g 2 RAC does support IP dynamic?

Oracle 11 GR 2 RAC does support dynamic IP, or does it only support static IP?

For IP addresses? 11 GR 2, you will have the following:

    public host name

    The private host IP

    VIP listener

    SCAN VIP

Your private host names should not be dynamic IPs because no one should ever use. Interconnecting them will use however. Keep these static to save you headaches.

Similarly, the public hostname should not be accessed by anyone other than information TECHNOLOGY personnel who need to do some work on the server.

Applications should use the VIP or SCAN VIP listener. I guess that these can be dynamic IP addresses. However, with today's networks, there is little need to do. We use DHCP to all of our IP addresses, but then bind us the registration of the contract so that DHCP will always return the same IP address. Forgive me, but I don't remember the network for this term.

    See you soon,.

  • What virtual router goes with what configuration

When close you a configuration creates a virtual router on the host computer, in some cases they are side by side in the list.  But sometimes the virtual router is set up far down the list of the configuration.  My question is how can you know what virtual router goes with what configuration?  I end up having to look at what data store its on and cross-references it with this organization.  Then I look everyone in the configuration for the combination.  Does anyone have a better way to know this?

    Alan

Go to the vCenter and choose display "models and virtual machine.

You should be able to expand the folders to see exactly where each configuration is set up, and routers should be stored with them.

Don't forget, not to play with stuff from here... it was just suppose to look at the pretty _

    Kind regards

  • Chrome still does support OSX 10.9.5

Chrome still does support OSX 10.9.5?

According to the page of the Google Chrome browser, this version of Chrome is said

in support of Mac OS X to present 10.11.5 10.9.5. Chrome - the Google browser

However, the questions and problems that Chrome continues to show Mac users,

indicate that it is not a wise choice for Macs.  Users have found Chrome to be

a resource eater, which affects the performance of OS X.

We'll find a better browser to Mozilla Firefox; also Safari is always supported by

Apple at the moment (my OS X 10.9.5 a recent version of Safari; I prefer Firefox.)

TEAC DVD player no longer works.
So I would like to replace it.
Think I fell on the drive Pioneer DVR-K16L of alternatives.

But it is obviously set to "cable select".
My M60-135 does support this, or do I have to choose another drive?

    Any suggestions welcome!

    THX!

    Hello

These information are not known to me, and especially if you want to buy a car for you laptop, you must first call the Toshiba authorized service provider for more information on compatible players.

There is also another possibility to find out what the laptop supports parameters.
I use Nero burning rom and this application supports a diagnosis function. He entered the information about the installed CD/DVD drive.
After this diagnostic procedure, you need to know more details about the installed drive and you must buy the player that supports the same specifications
