  Hi all

  I use my Vision assistant (2015, 64 bit, build 20150612021331) for the batch of treatment on several images in the browser. Ok.

  I am a new learner or vision.

  When I use 'mark set' in the Vision Assistant of NOR. It works well. for example

  

  (The image above is the example in the Vision Assistant of NOR, please see help > Assistant Solution > Inspection of dental floss)

  However, when I put the program NI Vision Assistant to create a Labview VI program. (Tools > create a LabVIEW VI), then run the VI, it no longer works.

  

  The result of the system of coordinates outside is always like that.

  

  I can't find where is the error. I tried a few other examples in the Vision Assistant of NOR. If the command "set mark" is used in the program in the Vision Assistant of NOR. then create the LabVIEW VI.

  The problem still occurs.

  Hi all

  This problem has been reported under Corrective Action Request (CAR) 441410 and has since been fixed in 2014 of VDM. I highly recommend upgrading to the latest version here: www.ni.com/download/vision-development-module-2014-f1/4971/en/ because it contains other patches. If you are unable to do so, I have attached the patched file, you need to change. Replace the following file (assuming that the default installation location): \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2013\vi.lib\vision\Vision Utils.llb Assistant with the version I have attached here, and that should solve the problem you see with NaN values of reference in the VG of the generated code.

• Different methods to find a form of rectangle Center and rotation in vision assistant

  Hi This is my first shot at the machine vision and Vision Assistant tool. I am trying to find a rectangle shape in an image and determine its Center and rotation around the Center. I started with this image:

  

  and I increased saturation and contrast to make a clearer target area:

  

  I am interested in the main red rectangle turned about 5 degrees to the right. For me, it seems that there is enough contrast edges, but quickly, I tried some of the edge (including the rake) detection and pattern matching algorithms and I don't get any useful results. Maybe it's the white lines don't interfere. I tried to extract just the plan of the red color but as white also contains red these lines always appear.

  I'm hoping to get some ideas for different approaches get precisely the Center and the rotation of this part, as well as the guidance you need to succeed. Thanks for the tips!

  I would try to extract the rectangle using color thresholding.  Analysis of particles of use on the rectangular blob and you should be able to get a rotation value.

  I'm just not see it, or is there no way to resize (Resample) an image in Vision Assistant?

  It seems to me that the resizing of an image is one of the simplest function of image processing.

  I'm used to having to open images in MS Paint to resize, and then reoppen in the Vision Assistant.

  I created a VI resampling that works. But I just thought that it would be part of the core functionality.

  Yes, the function of resampling in Vision Assistant is in the first tab (processing of functions: Image). Select the step of geometry, and Resampling.

• Advancing the Straight Edge configuration in the Vision Assistant

  I used the function advance Straight Edge with Vision Assistant who I little understand but this is not enough for what I'm trying to achieve. I tried to find some info on the underlying theory, but the only thing I found is the help document for it, which provides details on the different variables only.

  Could you please tell me where I could find a good source of information on edge configurations right ahead?

  I was wondering if someone could tell me how to change an image´s brightness, contrast and histogram with vision assistant. I want to do this, in order to normalize the image and reduce the impact of the light on the image. I m of the system development will always illuminating, but I Don t want to get the results to change so dramatically with just a little change in illumination.

  There is a direct function under image - brightness.  You can adjust the brightness, contrast and gamma. If you want to go check dynamic table of choice

• Using the thresholds the in Vision Assistant Image calibration

  

  I would like to form images of calibration with some images of 1280 x 720 of grids that I take with a fisheye lens. Usually, when I raise Calibration training Vision Assistant interface, I have some tools really powerful local thresholding as in the screenshot above.

  But with images that I put in now, I'm threshold options that aren't really my needs. These are shown in the screenshot below. Is it possible to manually choose the local threshold options?

  You got this window because it seems that you have a 32 bit image instead of an image of grayscale 16 or 8-bit.

  Convert your image into 8-bit, and you'll have the threshold parameters you need.

  I tried to make a detector of dirt for a camera with Vision Assistant 2011 SP1 image.

  I modified the cell analysis of the Solution Wizard.

  My Vision Script is not able to detect any dirt pirate on the camera Image.

  Maybe you tips to optimize my other scrip alternative.

  You can use "Equalize IMAQ" (could be found in the service Table of the Vision Assistant research) right after you open the image to spread the histogramm on any bit depth.

• How can I change the sequence of pictures, that I imported into Vision Assistant?

  I have several issues of images I shot a framegrabber. Each has between 300-500 images .bmp are named 0, 1, 2, 3,..., 365.  The problem is that when I use Vision Assistant to open the pictures, it opens in out of use.  Ex: 1, 10, 100, 101, 102,..., 11, 110, 111,..., 12, 120, 121,...

  What is even more frustrating, is that he doesn't seem to be a way to rearrange the pictures, or I don't think I want to spend the time to do for 16 folders of images, with that I work.

  Thoughts... Ideas?

  In this case, it is best to name the images using 3 numbers and fill with zeros on the left.

  It would be pretty easy to write a quick vi who reads all the files in a directory.  For each file, it would remove the old number and replace it with three-digit version.  If the number is less than 100, it can rename the file automatically.

  I can't imagine other ways to solve your problem.

  I am using the Vision Assistant of NOR. Here, I want to overlay one existing image with another. Therefore, I use the overlay Installer where can I import a .png image. If I do, I don't get

  the transparent background of the back of the image, even, I was saved with a transparent background. The image is displayed with an orange background.

  If I import the same image to any front panel for example, I see the picture on the right path with a transparent background. What I've done wrong? I have attached the image I want to use.

  Hello! Don't know how to do this in the Vision Assistant. Try to use the overlay (bitmap) or convert your image into mask. Effect of transparency not supported in the Vision. What you can do in LabVIEW is something like this:

  The proposed script was just erase the area of interest, replace seuillees with zeros pixel. To fill this area with a given color, a possible solution is to invert the mask, it allows to make a new image of the area of binarize, multiply by the chosen color (use a saturated color, otherwise you will get color variations) and add the result to the previous image.

  No I had not had the CD. I discovered today that NI Vision Acquisition 8.5.1 is software to control a card video capture card. Vision Assistant 8.6 is free to download 30 day trial of of NOR and then around £2800 purchase Web site. Thanks for your help. I'm now sorted.
