Vision Builder - error creating LabVIEW Code

Hello!

I use Vision Builder 3.5 and LabVIEW 8.5.1. Vision Development module is also installed.

I've built several routines inspection with the Vision Builder. Then I tried to create .vi-files. Then I hit tools-> Inspection migrating to LabVIEW...

In the next box I select:

1-version of LabVIEW: LabVIEW 8.5 - NEITHER Vision 8.5.0

2 - the directory I want vi-files to be.

The migration begins, but it is never finished. There is always the following error message:

Error during creation of LabVIEW Code #3

I have not found additional information about this error code. So maybe someone is able to help.

Thanks in advance.

It seems that the error occurs when you try to play a file which contains the parameters of control of that Vision Builder AI generates. This file may have been corrupted and Vision Builder AI fails to write correctly. I have attached a simple VI to determine where this file lives. Make sure that the file is not present before generating the code and that you have write access to this directory.

Hope this helps,

Brad

You can verify that you have read/write access to your temporary folder (in general C:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Temp).

This error is due to the fact that a temporary file (VBAI.bin) is probably not written in this file or cannot be read during code generation. Is it present in this folder after you try to generate the code?

What privileges you have when you run Vision Builder AI? If you are logged on as administrator? You can try to run Vision Builder with administrator privileges and see if you still get the same error?

Also, what operating system are you using?

  • Blu - Ray building error: "invalid format", Code 13 - Please help to diagnose this problem!

    Hi all

I have a yet simple project that is successfully burning a dvd, image file and the dvd folder.  Now, I want to do the same thing except build the project for a blu - ray release.  (Video files source I have are hi-def).  I don't have a blu - ray burner, but I still want to produce a blu - ray disc image file and a folder of blu - ray disc as in the future when I get a blu - ray burner, I can simply burn the image or folder on the blu - ray disc. I use Encore CS5.5 in windows 7.

Then, I put the project of construction of blu - ray image file and I get the following error:

"Blu - ray error:"Invalid Format", Code 13, Note:" errors in some GSP: the end time of the previous display is set on near beginning to succeed all the display, see the log for more information "."  I get the error even though I am trying to build a blu - ray folder.  I also tried this construction project on a Mac (also with CS5.5 Encore), but get the same error.  How can I fix this error, or is anyone know what could be the problem?  the menu of the dvd I have is simple: 2 menus, 1 audio stream, subtitle 1, 1 main video stream and 2 videos of little "trailer".

(I can sand anyone track log if you want it to)

    Thank you!

    Ricky Roma

Hi - I think I have fixed the problem.  Basically, I found that some of my subtitles were too close together and so I have separated by 5 images 'standards' apart and all built very well.  We hope in the future if anyone else has this error, they can find this message and try this solution.

"BTW, does anyone know if the rule of subtitle ' 5 frames apart ' for subtitles adjacent is just one more thing from adobe, or all the professional authoring software require the same thing?

    Thanks for reading this post.

  • to access the network of vision builder error

to access the network error VBAI

It used to work yesterday but idon't know why not today

So, you have problems writing to a published network shared Variable? You might be able to solve this by using the software manager system OR distributed. By using this software, you should be able to see all the network published static Variables that are hosted on this computer and all other computers on the network. You can try to modify these variables using this software. If you have the same problems with the variables shared by using this software, then this probably means that there are problems with the network in general as a firewall blocking the communication.

You can check if you have this by navigating to start > all programs > National Instruments > Distributed System Manager. If you do not already have it, you can download it here: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-distributed-system-manager-2013/4216/en/.

This knowledge base article may contain useful advice on how you might approach this problem: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6E37AC5435E44F9F862570D2005FEF25?OpenDocument

  • vision builder to labview migration

    Hello

I have a project of vision. Pluggable VISION BUILDER pour image processing and the LabVIEW pour interfacing.

My question is: how to call an inspection done by VISION BUILDER in the LabVIEW software.

NB: I found in the Tools menu of VISION BUILDER a feature titled "Migrating to LabVIEW. but she could not be executed because I don't own

the DEVOLEPMENT VISION MODULE. Have to buy another software OR (VISION DEVOLEPMENT MODULE) pour fix my problem? : smileysurprised:

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Vision Builder is provided with an ActiveX control that you can call from LabVIEW. You will find enclosed a few Directory promotion the in examples

    \

The ActiveX component allows to control Vision Builder as you would you interface greengrocers. Once you have created your inspection in Vision Builder, you can use the ActiveX component to connect a Vision Builder of LabVIEW, open an inspection, execute, recover and display the image (you need not purchase the Vision Development Module pour it), and get the results of inspection and each step of the inspection.

Hoping that this answer has your expectation

    Kind regards.

I can't create an installer on LabView, after install the Vision Builder demo and then uninstall it. I can't create a Labview Installer more, he asks me an installer of generator of Vision, even if Labview my program does not have nothing to do with it...

Hi, Shada, this can happen if you include additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you do this the installation program must include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder he updated MAX, so when your Installer try to understand MAX, his request the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.

Here you can cache information so it is not asked once again, or you can download a version more recent fo DAQmx, then it will update MAX and change the dependecy.

You can find more details about it in this KB:

  • How to create own IDE for LABVIEW (such as vision builder)

    Hi all

My pretty funny question, I know that.

I like to create Labview Application IDE like Vision Builder.

    How to do this?

As far as I know that Vision Builder is developed with LabVIEW, the source code of course is not public... But why do you want to create a new IDE for LabVIEW? LabVIEW is an IDE, no?

I think also Vision Builder uses a lot of scripts and sub-panels, I can't help you much more than that.

For us - outside NI - script cannot be used in an EXE file, they reserve that for their applications not it will be a difficult task.

  • Migrating to labview vision Builder... Many VI

    Hello

I use the latest version of labview and OR vision builder. Using Vision builder get the coordinates X and Y of the object in this area. I need to export this to labview. I tried going in "Migrating to labview. I created a new folder then I gave the name. When I click OK. It creates many VI. I need this in VI only. When I opened the "main.VI", I see that "make, start." When I check the block diagram. I couldn't find the programe I needed for it.

    Hope you understood my question.

    Can you please help me.

    Thanks in advance

Another option, which could be used in conjunction with the API mentioned Christophe solution is to your X / Y values the variables that you update your VBAI inspection and then read in your code LV. Here's a tutorial on the use of shared variables to communicate the results to the LV of the VBAI:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/D492139A746F91A8862576E80051BBCE

Here is a video showing how to use the API that Christophe has mentioned:

    http://zone.NI.com/WV/app/doc/p/ID/WV-2424

Here's a video of the use of shared variables (demo shows using targets of the RT, but the same idea might work locally):

  • Range of custom error codes and error rings/Labview 2013 SP1

    Hello

for the error message personalized codes there are these assigned ranges:
    -8999-by-8000
    5000 to 9999
    500 000 to 599 999

If I create an "error ring" in Labview 2013 SP1, then I am able to choose predefined error codes or I can put in some custom error codes. Curious as I was I chose 'Labview' in the menu drop down and looked up some error codes. I noticed that there are some affected error codes that are of the order of custom error codes (see attachment) of 538170 to 538193.

Is this a bug or feature? What is the impact if I defined error codes customized with identical, already existing error codes?

    Kind regards

    Thomas

    Thomas,

It seems you have installed ModBus library. As it is an additional package, picking "custom error codes" is not bad even if the library fits in LV...

  • run a VI in labview with Vision Builder (VBAI)

    HELO,

I try to use the 'run VI' tool of the vbai (2010). When I lunch the inspection on my PC (with labview 2010) it's ok, but on another PC (without labview), I got an error message (dll is missing).

I have to copy the data in a specific folder to use this tool?

You have solutions to solve my problem?

    Thank you

    Ulysses

If you read the context-sensitive help for the LabVIEW execution step, there will be clear instructions to operate the LLB for Vision Builder AI. I'm not including instructions here because they change slightly depending on the version of the VBAI you are using. However, here are some useful links:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/231D87B9D8C3B71A862572D4007EAAF8

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/machine-vision/quot-make-sure-all-of-the-VI-dependencies-including-VI-lib-VI...

Access the LabVIEW execution step in VBAI, change it, then go to the help > show contextual help (Ctrl-H). In the FAQ tab, there will be a link to describe in detail how to build your LLB for distribution... read carefully and follow the directions.

    Hope this helps,

  • Cannot get out of Vision Assistant 2009 LabView code

I use Labview 2009 in my laptop lenovo X 61 with Windows 7 (64-bit) is installed.

I played a bit with Vision Assistant 2009 and results with my images are good enough. Now, I would get the same functions to work in LabView. I try to make 'tools' - 'create labview VI... '. "in the wizard of vision. All is well, to the point I should see the code. Vision Assistant opens the "Getting Started" Labview, but then nothing happens. I don't see VI in my folder specified and all stop there.

If any of you have an idea how to solve this problem, I would be very happy.

    Tommi

There is a known problem with the generation of code in Vision Assistant 2009. Check out this KB:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/DFB0B9C7F817D66386257626005A5825

In addition, LabVIEW options (Tools > Options) make sure you Protocol ActiveX are activated and grant access to a VI called 'IVA create LabVIEW VI.vi' in the list of exported screws.

  • build error of createUser using the c# code sample

I get the following build error when you use the c# code for the createUser use method example.

    I use VisualStudio2008 and the Blackberry_Admin_API - 5.0 - US.pdf c# code example.

    Build error States:

    Cannot implicitly convert type 'BESAdmin.BASemailExchangeWebService.EnableBlackBerryUserAttributesType' in 'BESAdmin.BASCoreWebService.EnableBlackBerryUserAttributesType' C:\VS2008\BESAdmin\BESAdmin\Form1.cs 76 488 BESAdmin

The build error is on this part of the code:

    for (int j = 0; j)< attributes.enableblackberryuserattributes.length;="">

    {

    userEnableBBAttributes.enableBlackBerryUserAttributes [j] = attributes.enableBlackBerryUserAttributes [j];

    }

Everyone has this same problem and found the solution?  It seems that there is something missing or incorrect in the sample code around type conversion between the EnableBlackberryAttributesType.

    Thank you, Ed

    Hi Ed,

I tried throwing the code example in a project already created the mine and has not known this error at compile. The two types of objects must be the same, so I don't know why there is no conflict with assignment.

Please try to use the sample code to create a user from the BAA API reference documents:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/BAA/5.0.0/

Or the Knowledge Base of the developer section:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/1608023/How_To_-_Get _...

It can also be a good idea to recreate your proxy to do this.

Let us know if the problem is still evident with the examples above.
