Hi infliktuss,

(1) since when are you facing this problem?

(2) you get an error message?

There could be several causes for this problem and there is no native tools for this problem however, you can follow the steps mentioned below to fix this problem:

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

Method 4: check the logs in Event Viewer for more information on this problem

Check your power options. It can be assigned to turn it off after 5 min. of idle.

Start button > Contol Panel > Classic view > Power Options > locate the plan that you use currently, click on change Plan settings > (the rest should be self-explanatory).
After the back if you have questions about power options.

    Hi Samurai14,

If the steps provided Mick did not help, it is possible that your Windows installation is damaged. The following link has instructions on how to reinstall Windows Vista:

If after a reinstall, you still have problems with Windows freeze, it is most likely hardware related and you should contact the manufacturer of your system for further assistance.

  • My Dell Inspiron 15R keeps freezing now after 15-30 minutes?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R a couple of months and now it keeps freezing after about 15-30 minutes. I can't do anything while it is frozen even not Ctr + Alt + Delete or move my mouse. It gets really frustrating because I always manually close my laptop. I scanned with Malwarebytes and security Eset, but Malware bytes is not found and I'm never able to complete the scan with Eset as my laptop freezes during this period. I checked the logs that Eset had done since my last scan and it said it deleted 5 threats it found, but my laptop still keeps freezing. I also tried the automatic "Microsoft Let Me Fixit" but he could not find anything. Please help I need an answer because I can't deal with this more!

    Hello Mike,.

As a general rule, when you run a computer in Mode safe the suspect will be software or a driver that is used for a specific part of the material. Have you tried a boot clean and troubleshooting session with your machine to determine the program or driver that could be the cause of the problem? According to my settings sleep mode & disable the display are set to never for both blocked in battery mode. Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

    Hello

    1. what happens when you restart the computer from sleep? It back to windows, such as the release of sleep or does go through the normal boot process?

2 have you done any recent software or the hardware changes on your computer?

    3. don't you face the problem only by playing games?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run a full scan of your computer and check.

    Microsoft Security Essentials

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, it is possible that infected files would be deleted.

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to start your computer in a clean boot state, and check if all third-party software could be the cause. Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Don't forget to return the computer to normal after completing the troubleshooting by following the steps described in step 7.

    Method 3:

I also suggest that you perform a clean boot material to check if the problem is caused by any device.

Follow these steps to perform a clean boot material:

    a. disconnect all external devices.

    b. start the computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    c. click 'Start', type 'DEVMGMT.» SMC"in the search text box and press ENTER."

    d. expand "graphics cards".

    e. right click on your graphics card, select "Properties"

    f. click the "driver" tab, click on disable (disable the selected device). Click OK

    g. use the same method to disable other devices such as: map of the sound card, Modem, network, CD - R drive. Note Some devices not available must be disabled.

    h. restart the computer.

After you turn off the devices, start in normal mode and try to activate the devices one by one and check which device is causing the problem.

    ========================

One day, I was playing CS, everything's fine, it works well, I know that my pc is not the best for playing games, I'm running with fps constant of 40-60 which is not obtained, but not bad either. I removed my battery of laptop, but kept plugged in because I know that if you kept it loads during use, it can decrease the life of the battery power. A few hours later in the game, my laptop just turned off. I don't know why, maybe the charger has been moved and unplugged then I checked. He was actually plugged in nice and safe, and I don't think it was the cause of the laptop to turn off or maybe it was. Then I turned on my laptop. Every thing seems fine but the 'Welcome' screen any longer that it was. A minutes and continues the 'welcome' to display. I know something was wrong because who usually took only a few seconds to load. I turned off my pc and opened it again. Nothing had changed, it is still stuck on the Welcome screen. So I waited a little longer, now 3 minutes, I saw the circle of loading thingy is frozen and non-mobile.

I'm a little worried that I just broke my laptop, I tried a few corrections in the internet, but I can't find. I went advanced startup settings and did a system restore and choose the settings of only a few days.
The system recovery succeeded. I restarted my PC, I was so happy that I fixed it, for so I thought it was. I open Google chrome, but as soon as I pressed the Enter key everything froze. Same office does not. I restarted my pc again. The start-up took a little longer. After going on the office a few minutes later the pc simply froze again. I can't do anything. I've been waiting so he could meet again for 10 minutes and still frozen. I restarted my pc and was able to put it in SafeMode before it froze again. And everything works fine in safe mode. I can still surf the internet but can't actually play cs: go in what is sad. I can still play undertale but which is nice. When I put back it in normal mode, it keeps freezing after a few minutes.

If someone out there who can help me understand what causes this and how to solve my problem I would appreciate it a lot! :)

Too long and did not read?: my PC turns off suddenly, when I boot it its stuck at welcome screen upward.

Did a system restore and solved the problem but now it keeps freezing and not responding do not.

Set it in safe mode and everything is fine but only limited.

    Hello

Games can be hardware intensive (graphics, etc.) and your problem seems to come from a special combination of games and an accumulation of dust in your laptop causing it to cut.

It may be an overheating problem and it is normally the main reason for your problem.

    .

If it's a hardware problem, it would not not to restart.

That said, it is possible to have a hairline cracks in the motherboard, etc, which becomes obvious as soon as it warms up

Check vents for hair, dust, etc. and do not use a laptop when it is based on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, because it of a laptop, bring it to a local computer and reliable repair shop and get them to open and clean the dust inside...

Here is an interesting discussion about the reasons for your problem:

If this isn't the case, then run Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair any corruption component store, restart the PC later and try the sfc/scannow command.

If still no, then try using ONE OPTION above to run the command sfc/scannow at the start

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the section THREE OPTION to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.
