Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option

Back to school for 4 children with laptops is a pain, he seems to be constantly before wipe them and their establishment again.

Any ideas why the Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HARD drive recovery option?

I made a USB key and copied all the files from a backup of the Recvery drive to it. The USB displays the TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option but calls for the disks and will not run the recovery of the USB itself. It's annoying, but at least I can still use it to recover the machine.

I would like to be

the problem with discs

or

get the USB key to retrieve by using its own files instead of asking for the disks. Vista was not created with the option to recover from USB, so maybe I can't.

HARD drive recovery option appears not in the advanced boot menu if something has been changed or modified on the HARD disk and the flag was removed.
For example, this may be the case if the partition has been changed, modified or if HARD drive recovery files or folder has been changed, moved, or deleted.

In case you want to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings, you must use the recovery disk

  • Do not have "Toshiba HDD Recovery" on Satellite U300-151 with Vista

I have problem with Vista - it became too slow so I want to get back to factory settings.

I went through the process described in [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm] and then, instead of "Toshiba HDD recovery" as a last option-, I have 'Restore the full Windows operating system' which is the last one after 'comand prompt. When I click on that I get another box with warning by saying "when you reinstall windows OS reformats the hard drive and all data will be lost" and "If the preinstalled files are damaged you can use the product recovery disc (which I don't have)" and there are no other or any button except OK which I click and it just brings back me to the list "System Recovery Option"...

I have Toshiba recovery disc creator no - it was not pre-installed when I bought computer - even if I had all the other software from toshiba.

And I know that I can buy the recovery disk, but I don't think that pay 30 dollars for something that I should have had with the computer: and my computer is still under warranty.

Delivered using the recovery media, you will be able to install Vista.
Recovery image contains all of the drivers, tools and utilities, and after the installation of clean operating system, you should not install some additional software.

  • Missing OS... Basic Vista restore disk will not load

I tried EVERYTHING except YOUR solution!  I'm not dummie (well, maybe), but it's me and some friends very tech savvy absolutely perplexed.

Stage 1:   Dell Inspiron 1545.  Zero out HD.  Restore disk will not load.  Black screen States:

    Missing operating system
    Press a key to reboot_

Scene 2:   Windows 7 (not a working copy) does very well, but not Vista Basic.  XP (again, not a working copy)almost loaded!  I even tried loading Vista on Win7 nothing helps.  Lived all the NTLDR missing, etc., has visited several Q / a forum... you're my last shot at this!  I even tried restoring disks from my other laptop (Toshiba), knowing full well, it produces no result... there not!  lol HD and motherboard are beautiful - I AM able to load OS to 'other' guys... Superblock is now ultimately nonexistent.

Final:   Current situation: Zero out Once AGAIN , tried to install it, HD has failed.  A ran bootfix and installed SMTDRV.  Always the same black screen and invites as stated above, when you try to load Vista.  The thing F12, the same result.  DVD is fine.  The done of F2 and load default.  Guess that that same result.

I have Win7, but the funds just aren't there.  I am a student (ISS), but my University is not offered at the discount of Win7.  Please help me to recover my Vista!  Thank you, thank you, thank you... in advance!

Tried to restore System Restore disk. First authorized disc formatting my drive, second disk would not be executed. Now I'm stuck with no operating system and no disc to recharge. Any ideas?

    Hello

You may have a hardware problem which is the cause.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Windows Vista boot disk does not fix my computer

Well, some time ago, my computer has been infected. I went to a forum, has tried to solve this problem, and he crashed out of the blue (not the blue screen). Turn off just by itself. Now it doesn't give me the loading... screen as my OTHER computer. I get the black screen "of death" where its preventing me from starting. I tried to start using the disk, repair. But it did not work. I have no point of restoration of any kind. Is there something I can type in cmd to solve this problem? or is there something I need to delete. because I can access files on my disk, but I have no idea what to do with them.

If you are unable to repair your computer by using the recovery options then Windows is probably too infected/corrupted to save. Back up your data by one of the methods below and do a clean/factory restore of Windows installation.

1 remove the drive and put it in a box of USB drive or use a USB adapter. Attach it to a computer that is running a working XP/Vista/Windows7 installation. Use the work of Windows Explorer to copy the data to the hard drive of the system to the rescue and burn data on cd or dvd, or copy it to an external hard drive. I prefer not to do it if I know the drive is infected because he has a chance to infect your host system. In these cases, I use #2 below.

    2. you can start the computer target with a Bart PE (XP only) or Linux Livecd such as Knoppix or Ubuntu and retrieve the data in this way. This has the additional advantage to tell you if the problems you are experiencing are hardware or software related because if the computer behaves perfectly in Linux, you know that Windows (software) is the culprit. Conversely, if the computer behaves badly under Linux, you will know that there is a hardware problem. This is general information on the use of Knoppix for the recovery of data when you do not have Windows:

You will need a computer with two cd records, one of which is an engraver of CD/DVD OR a USB thumb drive with enough capacity to contain your data OR an external USB hard drive. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable CD *. If you do this in a previous (XP or Vista) operating system, you will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or freeImgBurn software (Windows 7 can burn .isos natively). Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then boot with the CD that you created and the Windows files will be visible under Linux. If you want to burn CD/DVD, there will be a Linux burning program to use.

    * If your computer has only an optical drive and you want to use this drive to burn data or need to test drive, you can create a USB bootable Linux instead of a bootable CD. This site will show you how to do it-http://www.pendrivelinux.com

  • LR4 Volumes / disks hard not displayed in the folders Panel

I've recently upgraded to LR4.1 and it seems to have done something strange with my files. As you can see in the earlier version all my hard drives are displayed as control panel items in the folders Panel. But now, it is only the display of the boot drive and I have to drill down to the folder of volumes to reach my hard drives... It's quite embarrassing since I'm working on several hard drives.

I read in previous versions that people found a solution by using the option of "Promoting the subfolders" until all readers were displayed. However this option seems not to be in LR 4. None of my hard drives are compressed, and they are all internal. Can anyone offer any help or suggestion...

It may be interesting to note that when I went to create a new catalog, he showed not all hard drives to begin with.

  • Vista SP2 DFS does not display correctly

Apparently with the installation of SP2 there are a few changes in the way Vista handles distributed file systems.  It seems that the major change was because when you copy a file to a DFS folder window would check the size available on the host DFS, not disk space available on the drive where the actual file is stored, and you get an error if it was too much.

I'm not sure exactly what has been changed, but Vista now shows files with a shortcut icon.  Unfortunately, the problem occurs when programs try to access the folder, including Autocad.  It simply does not - it is no longer considered a valid location.  When you try to access the folder by double clicking, nothing happens... at all.

Another problem is when economy it will always produce by default, the root of my documents folder, not the former saving location.

The problem has been resolved with version of AutoCAD 2011.

  • Vista Media Center does not display the subtitles TV

I just started to use Media Center to Vista Home Premium and I need help.
I googled but have not found my solution.

Fortunately, my HDTV (Samsung) shows the legends on the captioned.
When I go the same path of VMC, I don't have captions.
Where is the 'button' to turn on / off?
It is a function of the tuner (digital tuner Hauppauge HVR-2200)?

Thanks for your help, but I finally got the legends of work.

It seems that the solution is in the Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 (x 86).
I was provided by my HTPC seller and applied the 2 patches that came with it.
The old system was WMC version: 6.0.6001.18000 (longhorn_rtm080118-1840).
After installation, the version is 6.1.1000.18273 (longhorn_mc_dev (wmbla). 080702-2208).

Now my menus show the items people asked me access but was not when indicated.

It works with the same material: HTPC HDMI - HDMI-> receiver--> TV

In fact, the legend of WMC are much more clean and elegant than those of Samsung TV.

Is there a way of positioning, as their name suggests, under - titles?
They appear in the middle and slightly below the center of the screen, rather than the bottom of the screen.

    Kind regards
