Vista recovery - laptop HP G60

I have a HP G60 with Vista, due to a worm, I was forced to restore the system.  The recovery has worked well, but as he re-installed the software, it gives me no successful loading because it could not load the file 'Config '.  But the system is in place, but once you shut down the laptop, it starts the recovery.  This can be solved?

Hello

If you have problems with the process of recovery of manufacturers, contact the manufacturer

It's their recovery process not microsofts

  • Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option

Back to school for 4 children with laptops is a pain, he seems to be constantly before wipe them and their establishment again.

Any ideas why the Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HARD drive recovery option?

I made a USB key and copied all the files from a backup of the Recvery drive to it. The USB displays the TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option but calls for the disks and will not run the recovery of the USB itself. It's annoying, but at least I can still use it to recover the machine.

    I would like to be

    the problem with discs

    or

get the USB key to retrieve by using its own files instead of asking for the disks. Vista was not created with the option to recover from USB, so maybe I can't.

HARD drive recovery option appears not in the advanced boot menu if something has been changed or modified on the HARD disk and the flag was removed.
For example, this may be the case if the partition has been changed, modified or if HARD drive recovery files or folder has been changed, moved, or deleted.

In case you want to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings, you must use the recovery disk

  • Extract Vista recovery DVDs

Hi, I would like to know (before you try) if it is possible for "extract" the Vista version of my restore disk, if so please post a clue on how to start.
If this isn't the case, would it be possible to use the recovery disk without changing my Partitions.

After the first installation, I changed the size of the disk partition to a more than useful setting instead of divide 160 GB in two parts. It is, when you use recovery 'as-is' my partitions are back from the original size. Pls post for help here, there must be a way to NOT lose all data after Vista hangs or crashes.

    Thanks in advance, Tuurtje

    Hello

As MrPacman mentioned, the Toshiba Vista recovery DVDs can not be extracted. The image on the recovery CD file is secure and I know it s not possible to open it using a tool like for example; Norton Ghost.

The use of recovery DVDs will format the whole HARD disk and re-create the hidden Vista recovery partition and the system on the HARD drive partition.
Simply said, the recovery CD redefines the laptop to factory settings.

So, if you have important data and files on the HARD drive, backup it first before recovering.

  • Win 7 - Vista Recovery

The release of Win 7 in October, a clean install will be necessary, who will rub Vista.

It will be possible, if you wish, to return to Vista, using the DVD (s) recovery or the recovery partition?

It will be necessary to repeat the recovery DVD creation, before win 7 install in order to get the last status of Vista?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I doubt anyone here can give you accurate answers to your questions.
On Win7 and Win7 update right now, you can read under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/home/ > click on the Windows 7 upgrade window.

I also heard that Win7 is expected in October, but in the past, that the release time was often changed. In any case, I believe that Win7 will be on the market before Christmas. It is well known that for Christmas time new notebooks will be offered with the new operating system.

If you now for laptop with Vista and recovery DVDs created, you can use any time to reinstall Vista. Using this recovery DVDs you'll new factory settings.

This question having the status of Vista is interesting. Obviously you misunderstood something.
Using "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" you will always have the same Vista recovery image, and it has nothing to do with the status of Vista.

If you got laptop with Vista SP1 (factory State) and now you have updated to SP2 after using "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" you Vista SP1 as the first day. "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" is not a friendly image maker for the back of the current state. Original Toshiba recovery image is recorded on the second partition and this tool simply create recovery DVD with the saved files. Nothing else.

If you want to change OS please create recovery DVDs. Many people save folder HDDRecovery on external HARD drive and hope that it can be used for the installation of Vista later. It will not work.

    Hello

You can't do a recovery Partition.

A recovery partition is copied onto your hard drive from the computer manufacturer at their factory.

If you do not have to purchase recovery disc are to make sure that you do not have alreasdy have a recovery hard disk Partition?

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
