Vista resets installed by default whenever I restart
Orifginal title: Vista resets everytime I restart
A week ago, I had a problem with my computer. Basically, it seems that the machine had "reset" itself "installed" by default. That is, he dumped basically all non-executables stored on my hard drive. So now any time I restart the computer, the computer has "restarts" again. Outlook must be set up again, and all the e-mails received was redacted. All my favorites in Explorer disappeared, and there is no history what it is. I use the Norton anti-virus software, and I did a scan yesterday. I also ran the "check disk" program and it appeared to find stuff. I am at a loss, because even after doing something like that, he always behaves in the same way. Any suggestions?
Hi btway,
1. you will remember to do any hardware or software on the computer before this problem?
Step 1:
You can try a system restore to a restore point before you have been affected by the problem and check.
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

Step 2:
You can also try an online scan and check if it helps:

I just installed Firefox 4 today. When I try to change the settings for keyword.url in topic: config to make one "I'm Felling Lucky" Google search, it just resets to chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties whenever I restart Firefox.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

These steps help?
- Rename the * prefs.js in the profile folder in * prefs_2.js (for backup, but Firefox would not be able to see them).
- Exit Firefox via file - Exit menu;
- Restart Firefox, look for the question.

I have a portable Gateway that will not start, but rather when I turn on the laptop, it gives me a box of caption read "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and restart the installation. I bought the recovery CD gateway and even made the recovery discs offered by Microsoft, but nothing helped. Or recovery CD were no help. I am running Windows Vista. Any suggestions?

Hello.
Statement of the problem is very simple: Firefox won't create bookmarks.
New installation with Mint 17. New generation of PC with Asus A58M-A/USB3 motherboard, AMD A4 6300 processor 4 gig memory stick.
All Mint and Firefox packages are up to date.
A new profile has been created for the test, Firefox has been started in safemode, purged and re-installed and reset to the default values. None of these actions have contributed.

I installed seven 2.0.2 as an add-on to the appearance, but Firefox keeps returning to 11 Firefox by default whenever it closes. Is there a way around this?
I have watched all of the items above and decided that I had no desire to create a new profile. I simply removed the add-on of the appearance of seven 2.0.2 and the problem seems to have disappeared. (Touch wood!)

I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 installed. Whenever I restart it, it has installed updates which can take up to an hour or freezes. You can ignore the automatic updates of Windows 7?
You can turn off the automatic updates, Yes, but doing so would leave your computer at risk. Simply put with him: after another reboot or two, you will be fully patched AND fix!

Hello
I have WINDOWS VISTA and just tried to reinstall my laptop of restoration on a HARD disk partition.
The restore went through, but then I got the error: WINDOWS COULD NOT COMPLETE the INSTALLATION. TO INSTALL WINDOWS ON THIS COMPUTER, RESTART THE INSTALLATION
When I press 'OK' (which is the only option), it tries to start again, until I get the same error through the black screen.
How can I get out of this loop please?
Thank you.
Lucie
Hello
For any problem with the help of the recovery Partition that has been copied to the hard disk by the computer manufacturer, you must contact them.
This recovery process is the manufacturer, not Microsoft.
________________________________________________
You never told us why you wanted to do a restore. If you had serious errors and the recovery process does not work, you will have hardware problems. BUT we're only guessing at this stage due to lack of information to help you.
See you soon.

Time changes of WLC cisco by default whenever the controller restarts
I have cisco wlc 2500 series and 1700 AP I configured the controller, but to my surprise, whenever it restarts, the time is adjusted to the time default 2000 AD.
1. do I need to change the NTP server? We do not have the NTP server, so in this case what IP should I use?
2. is there a way to fix this? I had configured other 2 controllers as well but it I do not encounter this kind of problem, so did I missed something?
Help, please.
1. do I need to change the NTP server?
A NTP is strongly recommended.
We do not have the NTP server, so in this case what IP should I use?
Configures the Basic (core router or switch) device to go to the internet for NTP synchronization. Then configure the WLC to synchronize to the core router or switch.

I cannot keep Adobe Acrobat as my default printer my Windows 10 Pro operating system. Whenever I restart my system, it is by default in the desktop printer.
One of the possibilities for your deliverance is a questionable feature on by default in Windows 10, changing your default printer to be everything you've printed on last.
Go to the Windows 10 Settings of the PC and from there, select Printers & Scanners. Note the option to Let Windows manage my default printer. Make sure that this option is set to Off which is not the default. Once you set this option to Off, then set the driver Adobe PDF as a default. Windows hide more with her!

PS: Yes, it's dark and a pain, but Adobe had no permission in this option and cannot turn by if or turn off!

Vista Home Basic - changing the settings after restart
1. I need to use the mouse with my left hand, so I swap the buttons in the control panel. However, If I restart Windows, the keys are not exchanged. I changed the registry key, but I do not do this.
2. I set the control panel to display a list of items, not the icons, but it is up to the icons, whenever I close. I use the classic look.
3. I put the mouse pointer to go automatically to the default button in a dialog box. It does in the majority of cases, but many there no, Notepad for example. I guess it's to do with the show but y at - it a fix for Notepad, for example?
Does he know about fixes for these problems (I have installed all the updates I don't know).
original title: Vista Home Basic - boring bugs
Go to start / Control Panel / file settings / display and check the box then remember each folder view settings. That should fix the problem with the Control Panel views (but to be honest, I'm not sure that it will work with control panel because it is another type of folder - but it's worth a try). If this does not work, I don't know how to get the system to keep the details of opening view (this is the only control that I know to keep folder settings). For what it's worth, this does not happen on my system - when I put on the details and close it, then open it it is still in the Details view. I have 32 bit Vista Business SP2 but I don't think this should make no difference to the same problem.
We will check your file system and hard drive for all the corruption that may cause this problem:
Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt, right click command prompt and click Run as administrator (you can skip this step if you are using the disk).
Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run. It will scan and try to correct some of your system files. If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228. Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).
While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run. It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.
If this does not work (or or show corruption it cannot repair), the only option I know eventually the problem is repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone). Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html. Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs). If the version of the system came with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to make a record of slipstream as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html. The decision is yours, if you want to go through that much trouble to fix this (assuming you have the disc).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems that your left mouse button problem is already solved by changes to the registry. I don't know why it didn't keep its settings just to configure in Control Panel - that's what's supposed to happen (not what happened to you).
The other problem with the mouse can be a problem with the individual programs (such as Notepad) or since you have detailed two separate problems with the mouse, it may have something to do with your mouse, software, firmware driver (or your mouse with Vista compatibility). I would go to the manufacturer website and download the latest versions for your system and compatible with your version of Vista (making SURE it is compatible with Vista) and install them (or reinstall if you already have this version here). There may be something to do with these elements to reinstall trouble.
In Notepad, there is no solution for this problem. There is no separate for Notepad - download this is the part of the operating system and re - install you will need to re - install the complete operating system (and who may not even solve the problem). What you said about it being a problem specific to the programs is probably correct - especially if she does not work in most of the programs (and I've never seen a mouse pointers control feature in any program I have ever used - it is assumed that is controlled globally of the settings in the control panel).
Sorry, this was not in fact of great help (unless the mouse, software drivers and firmware option works).
Good luck!

The value of browser.urlbar.autoFill is always set to false whenever I restart Firefox 28.
I go to about: config and change the value 'true' but, after restarting Firefox it return false, so I can not AutoComplete URLSNote that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself. The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.
You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
