Vista runs slowly and unable to repair

My computer was working fine until what, out of nowhere, my computer froze, I tried to restart at this time here .once I restarted it, it seemed to be going at a very slow pace, I'm not quiete sure as to why, but it was.wjen I am connected to the computer, it was VERY slow, I waited an hour just to my training and my office pop up that was VERY strange. I then waited another hour just for my start up programs (internet) to pop up when he goes on a Web site, it does not seem to take care of ried. I then rebooted my computer again and even tried unplugging a bit. When I logged in my computer it seemed to do the samething. I then went to restore my computer to a point where it seemed to work very well when I did this it took a lot of time just to load up when he did load up, he had mistake in the present and I tried about 3 times more when I did this it seems to always say error. He said that a mistake is not allowing me to restore my computer to an earlier date when it was working fine. She always does, and I'm not quite sure as what to do at this point. Also, one time when I start the computer, it was VERY slow and then she appeared a blue screen, but it does not appear to have done that only once. Can someone help me?

  • Tecra A5: Publisher 2003 is running slowly and not all images will display

I have a problem with the performance of publisher 2003 when the default printer is set to an aculaser Epson C900 since a laptop Toshiba Tecra A5.
The editor runs slowly and has not all images. This works if the default printer is set to a different printer.
This problem does not affect other mobile brand.

Publihser maybe sort of speak to the printer driver and clash with another application or installed driver for the Toshiba.

    Hi Simon

You will be very happy if someone can give you a precise answer. As far as I know, he has no problems known with Microsoft products.

If you see the Toshiba download page you will find instructions for facilities document stating the software preinstalled on your device. It is really not known to me that some of them can cause this strange problem. I recommend contacting Microsoft support because they have more experience with own products.

Sorry but I have no other comment on your topic.

    Good luck!

  • Computer runs slowly and fraud calls

Original title: computer running slow. Clean.

    Hello

My problem now is my slow computer at startup upward and the frezzing up from time to time. I received a call in June a company in India that my computer had some questions and what not and they had a package for $199.99 a year to keep it clean and smooth running. Well, my contract is over and now I get another call from another simuilar to the last company telling me that the reason why my computer is slow and frezzing up is because there are hackers hacking in and using my manufacturing system can work slowly and for package $149.99 a year they can clean up all this and get the pirates on and my system running smooth new.

Sounds like the song and dance, except that I don't want to dance with them this time.

Can you help me sort this issue and if I have to buy some kind of package, I want to keep him here in the United States instead of going abroad. I'm not that catchy with computers and don't get internal not with them. I'm 62 and good enough old school when it comes to such things. They also said my McAfee Security was not working, but I receive regular advice on the updates he says is is me.

Can you help me or direct me to someone or place where I can get help. I live in Houston, Texas.

    Thank you very much.

    Oscar G. Dominguez Jr

    Hey Oscar,.

These are the calls of fraud which you. Microsoft does not make that neither have they partners that do and don't they hire contractors or individuals or even to find volunteers to do. There are probably thousands of these companies out there do every day - we get two or three posts like this (or more) each day ask about it.

Check out these links from Microsoft regarding the calls of fraud:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/securitytipstalk/archive/2010/03/09/Don-t-fall-for-phony-phone-tech-support.aspx

    http://blogs.Windows.com/Windows/b/WindowsSecurity/archive/2011/06/16/dealing-with-fake-tech-support-amp-phone-scams.aspx

Never encourage such calls and never buy these items/packages they offer. Do not provide all the details and give access to anyone claiming to be Microsoft or Microsoft Partners.  Microsoft calls only to the customer who have contacted by telephone, e-mail and chat and have a number of Microsoft Service request or Service for a reported problem.

For problems with the computer freezing and slow, we have some items from Microsoft that you can follow.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Windows Vista running slowly

I have Windows vista and I have my own security software. How can I remove windows updates to security because they make my computer run very slowly?

To speed up your PC, I suggest you
    (1) management of start up:
    msconfig in run
    (2) the disk defragmentation (included in the start menu > Accessories > system tools > Disk Defragmenter)
    (3) cleaning of copies (CCcleaner)
In addition, your security software, according to what it is, Norton, McAfee or Kaspersky or any brand for that matter slows down your computer. Personally, I use Avast AntiVirus. It is lighter than th brands mentioned above. Avira is also lightweight.
In addition, if your security software also includes a firewall, try to disable it if you are OK with it.
Firewall is not absolutely necessary if you have Anti Virus, anti-spyware and you use it carefully.
