Vista UAC problem

After disabling vista UAC would not print to PDF more so I turned it on & it still does not have any pdf print. I tried to add acrord32.exe to the DEP list & he says I can't turn off DEP for this program. My version is adobe reader 9.1, I have windows vista Home premium SP1 & am up to date on updates.

It seems that some files could not be repaired "could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520 {260}, l:46 {23}]" \? " \C:\Windows\System32"\[l:20{10}]"TCPMon.ini '; source file in the store is also corrupted"you can try the opiton 2 suggests that I previously posted to your message in the log file."

You can try running an upgrade in Place or a system restore. The Upgrade in Place can sometimes repair file that are corrupt and the system restore this restore your computer to last working point. So you might want to back up files and programs.

  • Vista UAC breaks sync Desktop 6.2.2?

    I have a Treo650 and Vista 32 Ultimate. I have also Vista UAC turned and that can be problematic with legacy applications "not designed for Vista. For much of the last year, I used the 'Vista beta' office and sync very well, so I made the mistake of "redevelopment" of the version of the Desktop software, which is listed as version 6.2 but says on the version 6.2.2.

    I say mistake because all of a sudden - do not synchronize Contacts, the calendar will not sync, all kinds of basic functionality stops when UACs are enabled. If I turn off the (that deteriorating security on the computer, cookies of changes and logons, wreaks havoc in a small way) everything syncs.

    Stupidly, I didn't keep a backup copy of the "beta" software, or if I did, he hid from me too much housekeeping. Palm seems blissfully unaware of this problem. So, I'm the only user of Treo, which also uses UACs of Vista? Or has someone at - he found a way to tag/flag desktop software so it does not work with them? Install it to a different location or something?

    Anyone?

    Well well, funnier. I tracked down a copy of the beta version of office, 6.2.1. Uninstalled the 4.2 version than Palm wasted my time with, installed 6.2.1 and knock wood, it works fine. IIRC 6.2.1 does not something 6.2.2 not... maybe the synchronization of email, but I do not use that it's a moot point for now.

    6.2.1, 6.2.2 doesn't work. And for some reason any... Palm has purged 6.2.1 of their web site, which makes it quite difficult to track down.

    I remember when I got on the phone that people said the 650 arose with Vista (i.e. need the beta version of Palm Desktop for Vista) while the new phones have been delivered with a software that had no problem. Don't know. How they had 6.2.1 in open beta for so long, and what they have broken with 6.2.2... I see the orange logo in the corner, but I have to ask, is there really anyone there?

    Or makes them more intelligent all take off for Silicon Beach and leave just the worker droids?

  • Windows Media Player version 11.0.6001.7010 with Vista. Problems with the automatic synchronization of music backup

    Windows Media Player version 11.0.6001.7010 with Vista. Problems with the automatic synchronization of music backup.

    Backup not working in all of these songs/albums that appear also in personal playlists. Does not account for all of the media/music in Windows Media Player. It is also not known where there are additional tracks from the same album, appearing in a personal reading list, these additional tracks (that is, it will take 2 album, but ignore the other 10). Has only begun to occur in 2-3 weeks.

    Previously, when I set up the sync partnership, there are options in playlists 'Sync' discovers the device Set Up, such as 'All music' 'All images' "5 * appreciation of music" etc. None of them showing now also available. Offered only my personal Playlists. All solutions?

  • Vista update problem - stop to update 3/3 0%

    original title: Vista update problem

    When my computer tries to finally start up, it comes to a screen that says Windows Update section 3 of 3, 0% complete.  He is sitting here for a minute or two, then restarts.  This loop continues indefinitely.  Will not start in safe mode.  Used a boot disk to get into the Windows repair and got the result, did not find any problem.  How to cross this attempt to update?  I have Vista.

    When you used the "Startup disk" was available as an option system restore? If so, then choose a restore point created before this issue started occurring.

    If the system restore is not available, then you have 2 options:

    (1) try a "in-place upgrade", aka, repair installation. This can be done by running the system with the "Startup disk" and choose command prompt - How to perform a repair for Vista Installation

    However, if Service Packs have been installed then you should uninstall everything first.

    You will need to know where the Service Pack .exe file is to be able to uninstall the command prompt, because the system does not start properly, or Mode without failure.

    See - method 3: uninstall Windows Vista service pack from the guest here - How do I uninstall Windows Vista service packs as a troubleshooting step

    (2) do a clean install of Vista.

    Hello Gameslaya99,

    I try to try and return your operating system to the last known good configuration.  I have included the link below with the steps.  Please let us know status.

  • Vista shutdown problem

    Cannot close Windows Vista. Only way to stop is to use the power button / stop.  Indicates the closing down, but even after 15 minutes, it still says close.  Started after that recent windows update downloads. Mainly the security for Office

    Suggestions: Note. Try the stop option after completing each suggestion.

    1. run a full scan with your security program. Your computer might be infected.

    2. create another account with the SAME privileges as your current. Logon to this new account. Try the Shutdown option. If it closes, your old account is damaged.

    3. in the case of having bad/corrupted files, run a file system check. See if he can find and be able to fix them. At the end of the audit file, it will tell you your machine has "no breach of integrity", or that it is bad but unable to fix the files.

    Start button > Search box type cmd > look up, do a RIGHT click oncmd.exe > click onRun As Administrator > in this window cmd black and white, type at the prompt flashing sfc/scannow > press the ENTER key.
    Note: there is a space between 'sfc' and ' / '.
    To sit and wait. It will take time.
    When finished, exit the cmd window.
    Reboot (restart your computer)

    4. it might be time can.
    a.) place your Windows Update MANUAL setting.
    (b) do a system restore. Choose the date that PRECEDES your "recent updates download" as your restore point.
    Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
    To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

    If you got this far to #4 suggestion and stop option actually works after system restore, then after return. The procedures will be really a lot of time.

    For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Vista - video problems after updates

    I went to shut my computer down about two weeks ago and he told me there were four updates, so I gave in and went to bed. The next morningarting the computer problems started. There seems to be a problem with the graphics and it could freeze after a while. I had the same problems with another computer just after having updated and he had taken home. They told me it was the graphics card and replaced it under warranty. I found it strange that both computers had the same problem at the same time. Given that the extended warranty on this computer was just exhausted I took to another store and after explaining what happened and work on it for three days, everyone came to the conclusion that it was the updates that caused remember there was nothing they could do! So I searched the Internet for a solution and found that it is a common phenomenon. Now I'm supposed to just buy a new computer? I don't have much that won't happen again with a new computer, given the frequency of this problem seems to be trust.

    Never install any Windows updates hardware drivers.

    Get them form the manufacturer.

    System restore steps according to the info above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
    I installed utility "Tempro" from Toshiba, which is very useful to talk about updates etc. TEMPRO is installed as one of my startup programs, and I'm happy to do.
    However, whenever I restart my computer, control Vista application user account permission to execute Tempro.
    This does not happen with all the other programs that I set to run at startup.
    It is an irritation, because when I turn on my computer, I would go until all startup routines have completed.
    But instead, I have to hang around waiting for the window UAC to appear and then tell him to go forward and then wait a little longer before I can use my computer.
    Can someone tell me how to configure so that user account control is not in the path?
    As I say, UAC doesn't interfere with any of my other startup programs, so I'm puzzled why he should get involved with Tempro.
    Hello
    You can turn off UAC using the msconfig.
    RUN-> msconfig
    Then click on the Tools tab scroll down until you find "disable UAC". Click on this line. Press the launch button.
    A CMD window opens and after a few seconds when the command has fished, you can close the window. Close MSCONFIG, and then restart the computer.
  • Satellite Pro A210 HDD, Windows Vista & BIOS problem
    Hello
    We have an A210-1 b 3 - PSAFHE-01500PEN - running Vista which has had a hard drive failure.
    We have replaced the old drive SATA (250 GB) with a 500 GB SATA drive and used the recovery disc to install Vista and specific software from Toshiba. We intend to restore our backup data that a Vista is installed.
    That is the problem. We have installed the new hard drive, ran the recovery and after restarting, we got a Windows could not sating error set up the hardware and then restarts. I suspect that the new drive is not recognized by Vista. I looked around and it was suggested to the SATA Compatible parameter value in the BIOS. However, the BIOS (V1.5) has no options for this.
    So, can anyone suggest anything please? Any ideas where I can get the latest update of BIOS (pref one that allows me to create a boot disk and update BACK)? Any help appreciated because she has completely baffled me.
    Thank you in advance,
    Jamie
    Hello
    Seems that A210 BIOS does not support the SATA option, that would help you to switch the AHCI compatible mode. That is why the SATA drivers must be included in the configuration of OS install.
    But if you use the Toshiba drive recover then you n t need to install the SATA drivers from the Toshiba drive recover contains the image where the SATA drivers are already included.
    Now the question is why the Vista Setup program cannot complete.
    Have you used the good drive recovery for the right portable model.
    I read in a number of threads that people used bad disc
    Well, it would be interesting to know if you can install the Windows operating system using the disk from Microsoft. On the other hand, you can try to format the HARD drive before launching the recovery disk
  • Re: Satellite Pro U300: critical battery Vista hibernate problem
    Hello
    I have a Satellite Pro U300 PSU31E and have problems with the critical level of batteries and hibernation since I got it.
    It comes with Vista Business
    Critical battery level is set at 2% - is the the strage thing if I hit Hibernate mode (via the power button or start > Hibernate) it have hibernated ok - even at 2% remaining battery. However if I leave it to do this automatically (via the action of critical battery and critical battery level Windows) he died just in hibernation - looks like it ran out of power. The only way I can operate automatically through Windows is by setting the battery level critical to 8% (he dies still in hibernation on what whether it is less than 8%).
    Normally you would just say ok the critical low level must be higher but one) why when I Hibernate manually less than 8% is working perefectly and b) put 8% loses me a good a few minutes! and (c) especially the computer or the battery do not think they are flat at 8% - then, the problem is that it allows you to restart. When the computer starts less than 8%, he has already missed his firm critical point 8% so then just down and down with no further action of the battery until it dies. My XP laptop would be closed, then the computer would know the battery is flat and do not allow a restart up to the critical load of 3%.
    What is one thing Vista or Toshiba?
    Probably not the battery I have 2 with exactly the same problem
    I have all the latest drivers for the power and Vista SP1 and latest version of the BIOS
    Thank you
    Hi David
    I think it s not a Vista problem or question Satellite U300.
    The point is that the OS Vista needs a lot of resources and more energy than the older Microsoft operating systems.
    Always is it that same laptop with pre-installed Win XP would be a lot more time using the power of the battery as with Vista OS.
    Vista is a monster and he eats all the material resources.
    This means that if you use the Vista operating system, you must set the parameters of critical battery at a higher level to make sure that your laptop (Vista OS) would end Hibernate process correctly.
    I think that the last 2% of the battery power is simply not enough to put the laptop into hibernation mode.
    So don't worry, relax and enjoy your beautiful baby ;)
    Welcome them
    Someone else who have encountered this problem?
    Found an incompatibility between Vista and my router DLINK-804 for dns lookups. Now I wonder just if Vista or DLINK is correct. Problem solved.
  • Error in Satellite A135-S7404 - Vista Recovery problem - 10-FC12-0017
    I bought a laptop Satellite A135-S7404 and had a problem with an operating system.
    I went to recover the system with the CD that came with it but 3/4 of the way threw the second disc, it stops and gives me a 10-FC12-0017 error message and wants me to stop.
    I can't use my phone is there a download or a way to get the mistakes of the past?
    I use Vista OS.
    Help, please
    Hello
    I don't know about you, but I guess that this error has something to do with the HARD drive. It must be a problem with the HARD drive. I recommend you to speak with the closest authorized maker Toshiba. I hope that the laptop is still under warranty and if the HARD disk is defective it will be exchanged free of charge.
  • Satellite A100-803 - Vista recovery problem
    Hello
    I upgraded the RAM and HDD on a Satellite A100-803 and when I restore Windows Vista from the recovery disk process is going very well, but after restarting windows says that "Windows Setup could not set up Windows on this s material.
    I think that the problem is listed here.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2466753/en-us.
    But the problem is that I can't change the RAID setting in the BIOS, and during the installation of recovery, I'm not able to add the additional drivers needed.
    The new drive is a WD 500 GB driver (WD5000BPVT)
    How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Pau
    Hello
    First I put t think its BIOS problem.
    The laptop doesn't support RAID.
    I think the problem is the size of your new HARD drive. Upgrade of the disk HARD 500 GB and its larger than the original HARD drive equipped in A100.
    The point is that a recovery disk automatically creates the partitions on the HARD disk, but due to the size of the disk HARD the size of the partitions would be different also.
    I think that you won't have the same problems to install Vista or Win 7 using the Microsoft disk
