Vista will not automatically re - connect to mapped the drive at startup

Mark
Thank you for your response.  I checked the settings of name for the Working Group was the same for the wireless and Ethernet.

Hello again,

My best guess is that it does not the connection until after office expenses, long after that a check is made to mapped drives.  It's one of the downfalls of cordless use.  It is not the best choice if a stable network connection is necessary for treatment.

The solution?  Use a wired connection, or connect the drives mapped after start (double-click on them). Brent

Everything was beautiful and brilliant. Then I updated to Firefox 8. Now any website I want to (Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will not keep me connected when I check the box to do so. As soon as I close Firefox and reopen it, I have to log in again, even if on some sites it's to remember my username and password (just do not keep me logged).

I tried to delete all cookies and history and still nothing.

Does anyone else have this problem?

In the privacy section of the Firefox options, make sure that Firefox is configured to accept cookies and that it is not set to clear history of Firefox closing.

(If you use the default "Remember history" then it should work fine. If you use the "customized for the history settings" setting, and then make sure that "Accept cookies" is checked and "clear history of Firefox closing is not checked.)

  • Laptop running Win Vista will not print wireless connection

I have a problem I'm trying to print on a printer of all-in-one HP Photosmart 2575 of my laptop.  The laptop is running Windows Vista and connect to the network using a Linksys WRT54G2 router is using.  The printer is connected by Ethernet cable to my desktop (Windows XP), and it prints fine.  No matter what I do to print via the wireless router, nothing happens except that the print output only goes to print that and sits down.

I down loaded the software HP2575 of Vista and updates directly from the HP site.

Six days ago, when I first installed everything on the new laptop, I did a test print very well.

Computer portable printer is configured to print documents Spool and using the Port "Dot4_001 HP Device.  In addition, it has the value "share this printer."

I tried a test and connected the laptop to the printer using a USB connection, and that runs just OK.  Wireless internet works fine for web connections.

So, what have I done wrong

I finally solved the problem. I don't know why it works this time.

  • Computer now put in hibernation, Vista will not boot. Computer stuck on black screen after startup. Help?

I put my computer on 'Hibernate' when I went to bed. When I woke up, I started the computer learned to manufacturer (HP) computer screen introduction as usual, but windows doesn't not load afterwards, as he usually does: I just get a black screen. Lights supply and all the rest are on. Just nothing happens. Any ideas?

Can I use the firmware from HP (I guess that's what it is) to confirm that my memory and hard drive are very good. I tried Googling the problem, and some signs indicate a problem with the powercfg parameter. I can't get in cmd.exe to reset because I can't get into windows (although through HP firmware, I can enter in "Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe - cmd", which seems the same, but the orders that I see offered on websites do not seem to work - help?). Ditto with Safe Mode. I don't have Vista installation disc.

    Any help is very appreciated.

Only one 1 antivirus/security suite applications should be installed & loading at startup at any given time. Since you do not know what free trial could come preinstalled on the computer, I have to have executed the two removal tools in the steps below.

  • MacBook Air will not recognize Micro SD disk in the format exFAT

    Hello

I have a new camera of Campark Xtreme (like a Go Pro) who uses a Micro SD disk in ex FAT format. My 3 year old MacBook Air does not recognize the disc in this format. But to reformat, I need to erase all the content on the disc. When I put the disc in the camera, the camera will not work unless I have reformat the drive for exFAT.

My computer is 10.10.5. So my husband. We have the same problem on two laptops.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The Mac can read and write to exFat without problem. The problem is probably that the card is too recent for the readers into your computers.

Fortunately, a new stand-alone USB drive which takes care of these maps is cheap.

  • My laptop Sony VAIO with Vista will not connect and stay connected to my wireless internet.

My laptop Sony VAIO with Vista will not connect and stay connected to my wireless internet.  All other laptops in the House are perfectly.  Internet disconnects, says local only, then reconnects constantly making internet hard work.

    Hi Tinkerbellfancolorado,

    1. When is this last work fine?
    2. Do you receive an error message or error codes?
    3. Recent changes on the computer?

There could be several causes for this problem.

    Try starting with these methods.

    Method 1

    Step 1

    1. Open Network Diagnostics by right-clicking the network icon in the notification area, and then click diagnose and repair.
    2. Make sure that all cables are connected (for example, make sure that your modem is connected to a working jack or cable phone connection, either directly or through a router).
    3. Reset your modem and router. Remove the power cord from the modem or router, wait at least 10 seconds, then plug in the modem and/or router back.

    Step 2

Another reason may be windows disable your network adapter to save power. Turn off the power saving option in the properties of the network (wired network only cards) card:

    1. Open network connections by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking network and Internet, click network and sharing Center, and then clicking manage network connections.
    2. Right-click on the connection and then click Properties. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. On the Networking tab, click Configure.
    4. On the power management tab, clear the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, and then click OK.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-Internet-connection-problems

    Method 2

Temporarily disable the firewall, and check the status.

NOTE: To re-enable the firewall after check you the status. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your /firewall antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    Hope that was heloful.
