Connect the plug of 8mm of the speakers in the audio out (headphone jack) on your laptop. The speakers in their default value of medium power (plug into wall, plug it into a USB POWERED port, etc.).

Hello.
Have an old dell desktop with XP.
Have a new computer dell laptop with Vista. Both came pre-installed.
Both came with a CD to reinstall Windows.Am I allowed to install Vista from that original CD on the desktop?
I did, then you have the problem (not genuine copy of Vista). I have since reinstalled Vista, but before I completely setting up the office, once again, I want to make sure that I am able to do this (do not want the new not genuine error).Specific questions:
1. am I allowed to use portable CD to install Vista on another computer?
2. If so, that must be done to ensure the "not genuine" error can't?Thanks for any help.

Reference Dell binds their records to their motherboards.
If your computer is pre-installed with Vista, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptopAnd a Vista license = a Vista Installation.

Windows vista on computer dell laptop. Hibernation isn't available option more :(
Hello respected Sir or Madam (or whatever may be the case) the reading of this.
in the city of townsville. as I was planing to conquer the world. I came across a suggestion indicating how make your computer run faster. I was interested because it would save me some time to plan my evil genius to take over the world. then I will according to the suggestion. I go to system tools and click Disk Cleanup. haha he opened and I was a little more to take over the world in a faster way. I see things that I didn't understand but my ninja "intuition" tells me to high brightness, options and delete all the em. hahaha I really like to delete stuff: D that's on my way to conquer the world. and after this has been done, I have a faster computer but the missing of the option of hibernation for the computer. Ottoman shazam outta here just like it never existed. I pick up:(donc tous mes pouvoirs pour convoquer o u sage alors que mon ordinateur peut être en paix une fois de plus.) help me before the Powerpuff Girls save the day and you will be rewarded a banana as my ancestors bought 2,000 years ago. : Ty D
Hi maojojojo,
If you take all over the world, I don't think I'll tell you the answer; However I will look kindly on your problem because obviously, you don't want the "powerpuff girls" to steal your Thunder.
Visit this link to my site http://vistasupport.mvps.org/disable_hibernation.htm it will tell you how to turn off hibernation "and" turn it on again.

Computer Dell laptop of my husband has a virus that wants you to install a fake security program. I tried to fix it. OOPS. I tried to choose an earlier date to restore your computer to and I got zapped, crashed and burned. Error is now: winlogon.exe - bad image then the msgina.dll login user interface DLL failed to load, contact admin to replace the dll or restore the original dll. I don't have a boot cd. Is there a way of "back door" to get his computer works again?
As you know now, do a restore of the system on a severely infected machine is not a good thing. Better to save the data and do a clean installation of Windows. You can try to do it yourself, but based on your post, which I would not recommend it. I don't mean to hurt your feelings, just to be practical. It would be better to take the machine to a competent local tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place).
If you really want to try it yourself, here's what you need to do:
1. start the computer with Linux Livecd such as Knoppix. You are using Linux, copy the data files on an external hard drive.
2. install Windows using the XP Dell installation CD.
3. install all the drivers for Dell. Use the Dell Resource CD or get the drivers from the Dell advance website.
4. switch to XP Service Pack 3 and do all the Windows updates.
5. install a good antivirus - NOD32 (commercial), Avast or Avira (both have free versions).
6. install all other desired programs, updated if necessary (especially if you have MS Office).
7. analyze data saved with the antivirus before you copy it to the new clean install. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic! -

I am running windows xp on a computer dell laptop and just bought an acer H213H-screen that does not work.
I downloaded the driver appropriate on the acer site and installed. Also, I tried to reduce my resolution. None of them have worked. I get a message on the acer monitor that says "Input not supported"
You check the display settings and make sure that you do not have your resolution to high for this monitor. Its got to many many times.
