My computer is a few years old, but has always been a good thing. I have a Gateway P6831FX laptop. It came with Vista pre-installed, but also many devices hardware upgrade card high quality graphics, monitor, sound system, etc. because it was built for the high-quality games. Is there anyway to retrieve the updated materials and programs without having to order and pay for the vista recovery discs? If I have to, I'll have to erase windows 7 then reload vista with recovery disks and then reload again the upgrade to windows 7? However, one thing that baffles me is that when I pull my hard drive it shows that I have 2 here. It shows 1 Partition (C) and (D) recovery so I think that my original vista system with the hardware upgraded and programs is still in my computer somewhere in the recovery disc (D) but I can not understand how to access and I tried. And if for some reason any I can never access or recover, I would like at least to remove it because it takes up a ton of space on my hard drive. If anyone can understand what I'm trying to say here, that's where somehow you can help me understand cela stuff? Thank you for your time.

OK, im losing my mind.
I bought a copy of airborne for my 32 bit vista system and found initially that I had to do a few tricks to install and play it like UN-installing ageia phys-x, it was simple enough. Well I have had since stopped playing it and would try to uninstall without result. I tried to fix it and using "C-cleaner.
I went down some of the files, but I think that my registry is a little buggy so I tried blocking it with c cleaner, he sure found several errors and fixesd them.
Well, I'm trying now to re - install MOHA and when I put the disc and click autorun the pre-start games window appears with the usual options, play, upgrade, site Web etc... As far as I know on the second partition of HARD drive folder HDDRecovery is saved recovery image. When you start the installation of (F8 at startup) HARD disk recovery partition recovery image D will be installed on the C partition. In this case the D partition is not deleted. C just partition will be formatted before installation of recovery image begins.
Just use F8 option and go fix my computer. Just follow the on-screen menu and choose the software factory default recovery option.

After reading this question, I see you didn't read the document s user manuals. You need to create a recovery media (DVD recovery) and this recovery DVD you can use for recovery image installation if there is a problem with the HARD drive or you want to install original recovery image on the new HARD drive.

I may have the same question - I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit and have never had a problem with since the launch in 2007.
Execution of Windows updates last night my PC will not boot Windows, it goes beyond the BIOS, but then when the "Loading Windows" little status bar appears after 2-3 seconds, he made a break then it 'blue screens' very quickly that I can't read what whether it was and then going to restart my PC.

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron notebook, which came with Windows 7 pre-installed so I didn't have an installation disc, nor do I have a CD player. How can I solve this problem and is it simple? context: a previous thread with an identical title never responded, the problem just disappeared. Well its been two weeks since then and the problem came back.
somethings which may or may not apply: internet TV seems to work better in media center. All updates have been applied to H.P. of Vista SP2. Netflix works fine in ie8 (such as the internet, of course). Tried to delete all the Internet Options, delete browsing history section of Internet Explorer. I get the same error message with my windows 7 professional media center, but netflix seems to play anyway (no game with vista). I recently installed quicktime alternative 2.72 to see what it was and how it worked, then removed and put back in quicktime.
Tried / symptoms:

-Same message on Win7pro but works even when (econcepts)
-Works on Win7 no problem (omegafiler)

It started yesterday (30/12/2009) for me. I looked fine the day before without problem. The message I get says "there was a problem of data recovery. Check the works of your internet connection and try again. Ok. I make it work with both my VMC - one with the service pack and the other without. My OS updates have been loaded in early December, so I don't see how this could it be. I searched and found this problem has come up before, but I have not found a solution. I made NO changes to my HTPC.
Those who have and solved this problem.

2009-01-05 has attempted to start Netflix this morning and you know, it works on both my VMCs. That's the good news. So now the real questions are:
Only 20 people reported it as a problem and only 6 on the green button. I believe that it affected all the world with Media Center. So why not discussed much?
It already happened, causes a stir and silently slips without known cause or cure. How can we find out what caused this and how to prevent it from happening again in the future?
