Visual C + junk files

Clean my system, I see 16 MS Visual c++ programs in my Control Panel/uninstall section program and have NO idea of the object. What exactly is the function of these 16 files? I bought this HP PC with Windows 7 in 2009-11. I remember never use anything of the same name. I have a HP2009m monitor HP and NVidia GeForce 9100 video card and began to experience a casual white screen, my research indicated that MS Flight Simulator X can have conflicts with Visual c++. So, is it advisable to remove the 16 files listed on the attachment?

Hello Colonel_Kudzu,

You have some programs c ++ in Control Panel and you want to know if you need.

The answer is Yes, you need.

They are sets of the necessary libraries for some programs developed with VC ++ execution.

If you remove one of the installation of the system and a program relies on it, this program may crash or start giving errors when used.

By clicking on the White Star congratulations on the left is a way of saying thanks!

I would like to know how everything goes.

Nice day.

    Hi all

I try to call a visual basic executable file with a command line using LABView 2014 argument. What I'm trying to accomplish executes an executable file that communicates with a device via a COM port. So, I would open the .exe with a command line argument to communicate via com 3 using the SYSTEM Exec VI. It seems that the command prompt window flashes and closes and then nothing happens. Not a lot of discussions about this on the forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm having a problem with Outlook Express I can send emails but cannot receive emails.  He said it might be because "your spam or junk file box is too full" but there is no 'spam' visible or "junk mail" box in Outlook express.  Where and how can I find?

According to Bruce, OE has no spam or junk folder, so this file is likely on the server.  Sign in to your e-mail via webmail account and then look for a folder spam or junk e-mail on the server and you can delete the Junk there.

Received a phone call today from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying that my computer has been infected and crashing, he gave me a 'hidden prefetch junk files' command to enter.

I obviously did not do because I knew it was a scam right away.

But my question is, what is he still doing this command?

The part of prefetch would display only your Prefetch folder. This is used by Windows to speed up your computer startup. The part 'hidden junk files' is meaningless. The scammer you to type only asked that as part of his attempt to deceive believe you there is something wrong with your computer. He awaits for you are not familiar with the contents of the Prefetch folder and try to convince you that what you see is evidence of a virus. Another tactic they use is to make you open Event Viewer, and then claim that normal Windows system events are the result of viral infections.

No program is good to do things like that. Avoid all the
    like the plague!

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

    Read http://www.edbott.com/weblog/archives/000643.html

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

No, this isn't your only option. Simply drag the no unwanted emails to your Inbox. iCloud will not then recognize in future emails from the same source as junk. What you see is iCloud predict your junk mail. Eventually, you could disable junk e-mail filtering and just focus Mail on teach the iCloud server what you think is junk or not.

  • Received a phone call that is supposed to come from Microsoft Help Desk all downloaded on my computer junk files! Is it a scam?

I got an unexpected phone call this morning. The man at the other end is said to Microsoft Help Desk. He said he had an urgent problem with my computer. He said that, as part of the automatic updates download, my computer had downloaded some unwanted files likely to damage my computer. He said that the files would fill my drive causing my computer to grind to a halt and also undermine my security software, leaving my computer vulnerable to attacks. He wanted to sit in front of my computer and he would talk to me through fixing it. I did apologize and hung up. I now had two of these calls.

The sounds of all of this as a scam to me! I have no way of verifying that this person has been Microsoft at all, and I can't imagine Microsoft never call someone at home like that. I guess it was someone trying to access my computer for criminal purposes. I couldn't find anything on the web site of Microsoft to think there was no truth in what in told me.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

  • Phone call from Windows saying I had many junk files - is it a scam?

I have Windows Vista HP on my laptop.  Last night, I received a phone call from someone who said he was from Windows & my computer is slow because I had so many unnecessary files.  I was skeptical, but he did as he asked, via start > computer > etc, then typed in 'unwanted Prefetch"as indicated by him who brought up a list of files, which many have been marked! Error.  He kept saying: ' Oh my God ' when I told him this topic, but that Windows could help solve this & not to worry.  Guests were about to happen, so I asked if I could remind him.  Wasn't the answer, but he was going to call again on Monday night.  "Are you in India?", I asked.  "No, Oxfordshire, but I'm of the India.".   I again asked her name/number - he said Sam Hoggard and began to give me the - 5210-01865 - number when my phone battery ran out and cut the call.

I can't find that any info on this situation from the web, so my question is - is this likely to be a real call?  Windows are proactively calls users?

    Hello hklovejoy,

Thank you for posting and this bring to our attention.  I can assure you that Microsoft DO NOT contact customers by phone this way.  The engineers of the technical support of Microsoft with customers by phone, only time is if the client contacts the help desk first and asks that we call them.  It looks like the command he had run just listed files but just to be on the safe side I am you provide a link to a post in our security and our Forum of privacy that deals to get rid of spyware or malicious software.  I highly recommend that you read and follow the instructions in the Microsoft MVPs.  The scans are free and I invite you to run all 3 they recommend.  Here is the link to this post:

  • How to remove Junk files?

Apparently, I have masses of unnecessary files on my laptop (windows 7) and the only way to make them disappear, it of buy a very expensive software, can anyone help?

What is a piece of software that said it that?  If Yes, then you might be the victim of malicious software and I suggest you provide more information on the name of the software tells you that / provide a screenshot if possible.

If it's just the fact that you want to do a cleanup of all your temporary files, etc then all you need to do is download and run ccleaner (its free)
