  However, performance is not guaranteed for all computers.

  As a result, please try another PC with a different OS.

  I don't have access to another PC, only I have a Macbook Pro with exactly the same software as my Mac. They run El Kapitan 10.11.5 and I - Movie10.1.2, HomeMemories 3.1.00.12180 and I also have an old copy of the Toast Titanium 11.

  Is it likely that say a DV FireWire or link Thunderbolt will make a difference?  The latest version of the film I is also not compatible with the camera, according to Apple.

  • The device is described for Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP, no mention of 10.

  If it worked for you to put your shots on the computer, you would take the captures in Premiere Elements with a project add Media/files and folders.

  Are you running Windows XP?

  You should be able to format the card using the camcorder
  menu... Check your camcorder owner's manual...

  And FWIW... formatting the card erases the content... If you
  having useful files on the map do not format.

  Another thought... If you are running Windows XP, it is possible
  that your system is not compatible with the SDHC technology.
  If you have an external media player, it may be worth trying to
  Remove the camcorder SDHC card and insert it in the
  Media player. This can help you to download video.

  Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

  Select "all to WMV" / OK...

  Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

  Thanks for the post. I understand that whenever you connect your camcorder to the computer a message will appear that says another program uses the same. By car the camcorder is also absent from 'computer '.

  Try the methods and check out them.

  Method 1:

  Open the Task Manager and check if there is any program that looks like the camera is running. Follow the steps.

  1. Right on the taskbar.
  2. Choose the Task Manager.
  3. Click on the Application tab.

  Method 2:

  Uninstall the camera and check if persists it to the question.
