VLAN in point to point T1

OK, here is what I am wanting to try:

PC6248 > Cisco 2800 <---T1--->router Cisco 2800 router > PC6224

I have 4 VLANS which would go through this link: 8 100 102 and 103. And that's how I think I will need to configure the VLAN:

6248:

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 8

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 100

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 102

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 103

2800:

interface FastEthernet0/1.1

encapsulation dot1q 8

IP 192.168.8.10 255.255.254.0

interface FastEthernet0/1.2

encapsulation dot1q 100

IP of 192.168.100.10 255.255.255.0

interface FastEthernet0/1.3

encapsulation dot1q 102

IP 192.168.102.10 255.255.255.0

interface FastEthernet0/1.4

encapsulation dot1q 103

IP 192.168.103.10 255.255.255.0

OK, so I think I will need to add these two ends. Would this work?

Thank you

  • Configuration of VLAN Cisco SG 300-10

I just got a 300-10 switch Cisco SG and I am a relative novice working with smart switches, so bear with me. I added a VLAN (VLAN 2) and assigned port 7. So now, there is the default VLAN 1 and VLAN 2. The IPv4 Interface is:

    VLAN 1

    Interface: VLAN 1

    Type of IP address: static

    IP address: 172.26.0.192

    Mask: 255.255.0.0

    Status: valid

    VLAN 2

    Interface: VLAN 2

    Type of IP address: static

    IP address: 172.27.0.1

    Mask: 255.255.0.0

    Status: valid

    The default gateway is 172.26.0.252.

IPv4 static routes now look like this:

I changed the mode of the system of layer 3 to layer 2 since I guess I have to make a VIRTUAL LAN see devices on another. I have a mute switch is connected to port 7 (VLAN 2) and a laptop connected to the mute switch with IP 172.27.0.117. On the SG 300-10 switch port 1 is connected to the default gateway (172.26.0.252), and port 2 is connected to a PC with the IP 172.26.0.136. From the Office I can access the internet through the default gateway. As expected, I can't access internet from the laptop (IP 172.27.0.117) I see the desktop because they are on separate VLANs. I want to be able to access the internet and also to be able to see my office (172.26.0.136) of the laptop, so I need the VLAN to be able to access the devices on the other. How would I go to do this? Moreover, all this is done in a test environment because I make sure I get this right before deployment. Thanks for your help on this.

I have a few questions about the installation:

    (1) what is the default value as the value Gateway for VLAN1 on 2 ports (172.26.0.136) PC?

    (2) is your Internet on Port 1 VLAN 1 (172.26.0.252) gateway, a static route for the 172.27.0.0 pointed out what subnet VLAN 1 (172.26.0.192) as the next hop router?

    (3) is the default gateway for the laptop computer on Port 7 VLAN 2 pointed VLAN 2 (172.27.0.1)?

If the General Directorate for the PC in the VLAN 1 is the gateway/router Internet router/gateway would require a road static to the interface VLAN 1 IP address for the subnet on the LAN VIRTUAL 2 so that the routing table in the switch can be used. By setting the static route to the Internet this router will fix the problem of connectivity Internet of VLAN 2 as well. Basically the Internet router needs to know how to do and the 172.27.0.0 subnet via the switch. Hope this helps.

  • Problem with SG-200 and access point on VLAN

I'm having some problems with the configuration of VLANS on the SG-200 and the WiFi access point. The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (1 PVID). If I plug it into one of the other VLAN then all clients connected to WiFi to lose access to the internet and can not access on the local VIRTUAL network devices. I've used this configuration with a Cisco WAP4410N of first generation.

    Iain,

You have virtual local networks put in place on your router? The subnets that you use on each vlan? The router will give DHCP for each vlan?

The SG200 isn't a fully managed layer 3 switch, it's just a "smart switch" so you can not actually be able to do simply only switch. A sg300 mode layer 3 would be able to do this because it is a fully managed switch.

If the router is configured with the VLAN, vlan 1 unidentified, the rest the tag, the router-> SG200 port is trunking and the others as access ports on their vlan respective. Once the router is configured, this video contributor forum albums and Cisco employee David Hornstein is very useful to correctly configure the switch.

    Best,

    David

  • 2 SSID and VLAN on each access point

I'm new to Setup IOS APs and wireless, in particular, a couple of 1142Ns in autonomous mode and are looking for answers and examples. These APs will be connected to the POE on an ASA 5505 firewall ports. I also set up the 5505.

The requirements are that each AP have a SSID 'internal' and 'external' and each AP will have two VLANS.

The APs should allow roaming between them.

Internal SSID will allow full access to the company's internal network and the Internet and will use WPA2. It will use the corporate dhcp server and the dhcp server to use IOS to distribute addresses.

The external SSID will not have access to the Internet and use WEP. The ASA 5505 provide dhcp on these clients.

The two ports PoE on the ASA 5505 will be shared resources for inside and dmz VLAN.

If anyone has examples of any of these conditions, observations or similar config they are willing to share, please post them.

In particular, I would like to see an example of homelessness config Setup VLAN, SSID config and Setup WPA2 and WEP.

  • Lighweight AP and Cisco Catalyst

    Hello

I want a wireless network with an AP of Lighweight WLC 2106 and 5 G 1121 to bild. I woud like to have multiple SSID and Vlan multiple on each access point. I want to khnow how do I configure port switch connected to APs Lighweight: access port or trunk port.

    And thank you very much

Access points light tunnel actually all their traffic through a tunnel LWAPP controller. This is why it is necessary to establish a trunk to the controller. It is also why your controller will need a L3 interface for each VLAN you will extend to the access points.

It's not serious what VLANS, access points are on, but if they are not on the same VLAN as management interface controller then you can use the DNS or DHCP option 43 to give access points the controller address. If they are on the same VLAN, they'll find the controller by diffusion.

  • Connect two networks with different subnets

I have a network that is totally excluded from the rest of the network. It consists of a switch Allied Telesis AT - 8624T layer / 2M 3, a computer and a few PLC devices.

It is the only switch Allied Telesis, the rest of our network is Cisco. Allied was by a seller.

Our network uses a 10.10.1.X network, but this standalone network uses a 192.168.201.x. I need to connect the two networks, because a system on the network 10.10.1.x need to access the computer on the network 192.168.201.x. I wonder if I can do it with a 2960 s Cisco or if I should get a router between the two switches.

I am pretty new to the implementation of this type of equipment, was suddenly thrown into the mix, I appreciate any help that can be offered. Thank you.

    Hello!

You can do this with your switch 2960, they take over the static routing. Please see the following link for detailed configuration instructions:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/switches/LAN/catalyst2960/software/...

You will not be able to perform routing inter - vlan but pointing your static routes to the other managed switch interface you will be able to achieve. BE aware that the other switch must have some sort of routing capabilities too or you will need to get a router.

I hope this can help, greetings!

  • IP address of the client issues

Just beginning to put an infrastructure in place of Cisco wireless, currently just test every thing.  Here's my problem.

After you create a WLAN, bind it to the VLAN I can authenticate but cannot obtain an IP address.

Now if I bind the WLAN to the same VLAN access point is turned on, I can get an IP address.

I have the IP DHCP configured under WIFI as well as of interface, I tried with just by configuring it on the interface but no use

I tried proxy DHCP enabled and disabled

Also want to mention that the AP is connected to a switch and the switch port is configured as an access on VLAN130 port.

    Hello

Please ensure that you allow the 109 VLAN on the trunk that connect the WLC to the switch.

  • ESW-520-24 P has not managed the custom VIRTUAL local network traffic

    Hi all

We recently bought a switch ESW-520-24 p to replace a CE500 end-of-life.  The facility where the switch is installed has access wireless connected to the VLAN 110 points.

Course the ESW-520-24 p switch does not support VTP so none VLAN is to be propagated to it.  So I created 110 VLAN manually and ports assigned to him.  But the devices on ports communicate with anything.

All ports are configured as access with 110 ports VLAN not identified.  The uplink is the g2 port which is in binding mode.

Can someone please tell me what I can have configured wrong?

    Thank you

    -Steve

    Hi Steve,.

If it is for UC500 installation, the default configuration on the ESW is normally perfect and the switch has to be turned on.

Otherwise that looks like you have made the correct things.

I guess VLAN1 is always present on the ESW switch, but excluded by access ports...

All ports are not marked in VLAN110 except for the uplink, given that the packages of vlan tagged while waiting to switch receiver VLAN110 or unmarked packages?  (something to think quickly)

But the result is if you are still in a stalemate, why not call the Small Business Support Center, the switch is probably still under warranty and telephone support.

  • Can E3000 to function as only access Point or should I return it?

Hi, Ok, I know I acted probably stupid, but I needed to access as a guest of Setup wi - fi which supplied routers LinkSysys. I don't need the router/modem I want to just have a wi - fi access point. I am an advanced user and I can work with manual configuration etc.

I tried to do a manual installation of the router, I changed the IP, mask of my network and activate the wi - fi and has worked, BUT the guest access option is NOT available unless you use the stupid CISCO connect software.

Now the cisco connect IS NOT software work or complete installation, if you do not connect through the router and access the Internet, which is IMPOSSIBLE for me to realize that my modem is connected to a firewall device, and we use static DSL PPPoE options and usernameme and password. There is no way I can get cisco doesn't connect to properly charge because it always "fix my connection trying to access the Internet.

Y at - it any solution on manually properly configure this router and take full advantage of it capabilities or should I return it?

PS: If the answer is "return" Please do not hesitate to provide me with an alternative that supports the wi - fi access COMMENTS (I do need separate vlan users to a WiFi connection to connect to the internet access BUT WITHOUT HAVING any where on my LAN)

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards, Vassilis

As I wrote before: it is impossible with the devices that you have...

The network of comments on the E3000 (and model consumer of any other brand with the same function) only works if the E3000 is your main Internet gateway.

  • to convert 1142N AP autonomous lightweight access point

    Hello

I have 4 1142N access points are all points of light access. Because I don't have a controller, I need to convert to standalone AP.

I went through document cisco 1142, where it is mentioned that "the access point 1142 doesn't have the default IP address"

I know procedure to convert offline in which I need to connect ap to the TFTP 10.0.0.1 with the ip address by default, but as for 1142, we do not have the default ip address. What is the procedure to convert offline?

I have to assign a pool in one of the local switch and connect the ap to these switches with vlan, so she will receive the IP address of the DHCP server?

But how can we without default IP address? I wonder about this...

If I did not turn on where I can assign pool dhcp... what should I do?

Please suggest me to convert 1142 standalone AP ap...

I will be thankful to get the right answer...

    Hi Vinod,

    Here's the resolution...

The image that is on the device's LWAPP, not the autonomous... If you want to use the AP in stand-alone mode, then the image must be W7...  It's...

    C1140-k9w7 - tar.124 - 21A .JY .tar not c1140-rcvk9w8 - tar.124 - 23c.JA.tar

Please feel free to download any image from the below link and perform the conversion of image LWAPP to stand alone...

    http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/PlatformList.x?sftType=IOS+Software&mdfid=282439881&treeName=Wireless&mdfLevel=Model&url=null&modelName=Cisco+Aironet+1140+Access+Point&isPlatform=N&treeMdfId=278875243&modifmdfid=null&imname=&hybrid=Y&imst=N

    the methos to convert is...

Download TFTPd32 of google and install it on your PC... point of the image that you downloaded on the TFTP server.

Connect a cable ethernet between your notebook and AP... both should be on the same subnet... Connect a cable from the console and access the hyperterminal console with the command... Make sure that you are able to ping the PC and AP and vice versa!

    AP > en

AP #debug lwapp console cli or debugging console cli capwap

    T AP #config

    AP (confg) int FA 0

AP(confg-IF) ip addr (same subnet as the laptop)

    End AP(confg-IF)

    Force - reload DOWNLOAD - AP #archieve sw / overwrite tftp: / /.

    Force - reload DOWNLOAD - AP #archieve sw / overwrite tftp: / /<10.0.0.5>/c1140-k9w7-tar.124-21a.JY.tar

  • RV180W add the access point with itinerant support

I have a client with a RV180w the latest firmware running.  We currently use the router as a router and provide wireless access.  We want to add a wireless coverage and I'm interested in our options.  We have a network unifying ethernet that we could use to give the new connectivity LAN AP.  Can buy us another RV180W and use it in AP mode and roaming wireless connectivity.  The customer wants a guest and business WLAN so we'll use the VLAN of the router.  How we set up the new AP?  Should we use WDS?   If we use WDS, can we still use WPA2?  Thank you for your help.

    Hello, Mr. Carl,.

Yes is possible to use WDS and WPA2 at the same time.

The master of accreditation will be setup as a RADIUS server to authenticate the other access points, while clients use the WPA2-PSK, which occupies the same on each access point.

Let me share with you the information found on WDS and the configuration of basic, found on the guide me section.
