• iDRAC Express and SSO on a SBS 2011 Server

  Hello

  I have a Dell Poweredge R510 running Small Business Server 2011. Holders of SBS that only a single NETWORK adapter connected so my NETWORK adapter has an IP address for the server and a different IP address for the IDRAC Express card that is installed on the box on the same physical port.

  I'm trying to configure the server for SSO and it is unable to resolve the DNS server (which is, of course, the Small Business Server) and therefore ' behind' shared NIC port.

  I can't use the second NETWORK card, because this is not a configuration supported by SM.

  Someone at - it ideas?

• VCloud and SSO integration

  You can enable the SSO Federation at any time and later if it is not available or if you want to separate you will need to erase the value of lookupservice.url of dbo.config table of database of vCD to unregister its search service.

• Error VIO and SSO

  Hello Guyz,

  I installed the VIO and plugin is visible in webclient. When I click the Openstack icon on home screen, it shows Connect to management server icon.

  When I try to connect to the administration server, it gives following error.

  

  I did the following troubleshooting steps:

  (1) I added the entry from file hosts for ip and domain name

  2) I activated the sso in management server by running "enablesso https://< IP >: 7444/lookupservice/sdk" and it seems to be completed successfully, and I had restarted the service who

  NOTE: I added the newspaper install with this post.

  Hi Tejas,

  The most common reason for this error is when you don't have a SSL certificate for your vcenter, your certificate is not valid or it is generated for the different host name actually used during the configuration of VIO. If this is the case, and if you use VCSA, you can regenerate the certificate using the of the VCSA admin panel.

  The other reason could be that time is out of sync between the management server and the VCSA. Please check what the time to the administration and the VC server, if they are out of sync, enable NTP or adjust the time manually.

• vCenter Server 5.0, 5.5, and SSO deployment Modes

  Just after a few reviews I've seen conflicting opinions on this.

  
  I have half a dozen instances of vCenter server. They are all on the same AD domain but quite geographically dispersed and the links are of variable quality. Each site has its own VC based on vSphere 5.0 on 2008 Server with a separate database providing functions and MS SQL Server. Every VC has its own instance (local) Single Sign On hosted on the local SQL DB. All instances are independent, there is no bound mode and or other dependencies between them. Other than the AD, they are completely isolated. They are also quite low (a few hundred VMs, less than 10 guests).

  I plan to spend 5.5 and considered him my options for SINGLE sign-on. According to the Documentation Center 5.5 I have three options of SSO - Standalone/Basic, high availability, and Multisite.

  
  Ignoring the high availability, I don't know if I should go to basic, with a standalone (local to the VC) SSO to each site or multi-site, with a local SSO to each site but a part of the same domain of SSO authentication. The 5.5 Documentation Centre indicates that if I do not use related modes (which I am not) then a basic each site deployment will end.

  
  However, the 20724335 KB that the last line seems to indicate that multisite reading is preferable for instances of PASS-THROUGH authentication after the first installation.

  Important : VMware recommends this deployment mode during the installation of servers to Single Sign-On vCenter extra in your environment.

  At the moment I tend to keep it simple and stick to the base, but I'd like to see if someone else has done this differently, and if I should go down the road of multisite?

  The multisite configuration will you be gives certain advantages, as built-in multi-master replication automatic which will ensure all SSO cases are always in sync and of course the possibility of using the Mode related to the future, but if it is not important in your environment, the will of stand-alone deployment / Basic works very well.

  I think the move to vcenter 5.5 but I can't find a clear statement that I can deploy many appliances in version 5.5, but what all SSO vcenter?

  multimaster replication between VCSA is currently not supported. William Lam wrote an article concerning the replication multiaster SSO between Windows Server vCenter Server and a http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2013/12/hybrid-environment-leveraging-sso-multi.html VCSA but it's too not a configuration supported for the moment.

• Impossible to find groups and SSO users

• Parts of report URLS and SSO

  I created a region of type URL report. The url points to an instance of BI that requires a login, SSO. SSO login screen loads in the region of the APEX, however, the connection to the SSO button does not cause action. Any ideas on what could be the problem? SSO-button connection refers to a javascript script.

  I find a lot more easy just use an empty html region and integrate an iframe that it contains. In this way the iframe will work very similar to a browser window.

  If we change the session time-out setting, which will affect anonymous authentication also?
  
  What is the difference between sso and anonymous authentication session authentication

  The webgate applies the "timing" session on the ObSSOCookie in the same way regardless of the schema used to create the cookie.

  The difference is that, when an anon session expires, the next request on a protected anon resource will result in a new success, anon of authentication and a new ObSSOCookie without the user knowing anything about this activity. (Look at the plugins listed in this scheme to see how it works with a step of mapping of unique identifying information).

  Probably by "sso" you a reference to an another authentication scheme that makes more mapping of credentials just, where it probably prompts for credentials when the next resource protected by this scheme is requested.

  Therefore, the configuration of the system that affects the behavior of challenge.

• standalone OC4J and SSO

  I want to configure SSO for my standalone OC4J 10133. It's my scenario...
  
  I installed my own on 10.1.2 AS that is already configured to use SSO. The autonomous now comes with set of instructions to set up UNIQUE AS authentication. I followed these and successfully recorded the oc4j with OID and generated osso.conf file using the script ssoreg.
  
  The next step is to run the osso1013 utility, but I can't find this file anywhere in the directory of my autonomous structure at all. Is there a place where you can download this file? or is that what I downloaded the wrong version of the stand-alone version. Just to clarify, I downloaded the oc4j of [here. | http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/utilsoft.html]

  OSSO works only with HTTP servers and the module mod_osso.

  You will need to front end your OC4J independently with a HTTP Server (OHS or with the one included in a full installation of OAS). You must create a new website on the standalone OC4J to communicate with the server HTTP via AJP1.3, as well as the additional stuff you need in the file httpd.conf on the HTTP server.

  This is the HTTP server that you must register with the OSSO server via the script ssoreg.sh, with a module configured appropriately mod_osso.

  I use SSO with Oracle Forms 10 G... My url that I registered with ssoreg.bat is as follows:

  If your goal includes the use of the URL by default, you will need to include the parameters you want in the default section of formsweb.cfg. Make sure not to duplicate entries in the same section.

• Oracle Forms and SSO

  I am troubleshooting a client in so he could integrate its Oracle Forms Applications withActive existing directory for authentication purposes.
  
  There are a lot of possibilities to achieve this, but the theory and practice are two different things.
  
  So I'd appreciate your comments on the following options, and perhaps some new ones I did not:
  -using the OSSO: that obviously easier. OSSO may nativey serve by Oracle Forms, which in turn uses OID, which in turn in sync with AD with the help of DIP. Quite a big configuration...
  -using the OAM: OAM integrates with OSSO, who can be used natively by Oracle Forms, which in turn... same story as above, only that OAM allows you to control access to all Web applications in my client's infrastructure.
  -from the Ondaaah: I think that Ondaaah is based on OSSO. If this is the case, should I still all resynchronize with AD and OID? Someone played with it already?
  
  If someone did an other thin and easy manner, I would be acknowledging its contribution too.

  seems more complicated than it really is. You can generate the script users OID & RADs if you are familiar with ldap & Setup for the DIP uses an Oracle script. Yes, used - this successfully several times.

  However, if you can avoid the forms, you need not to go this route. If these are new applications, you can use ApEx. If there are forms & are simple relatilvly, you can use the ApEx 3.2 conversion tool forms & a bit of work to migrate.

  A few tips
  AD & OID have some duplicate, accounts to avoid problems:
  In ad: put all users to remove in an OU 'Parent '.
  OR = MyOUName, DC = mydomain.com
  Target this ORGANIZATIONAL unit when you go through the configuration of the synchronization of OID. Do not put AD users in this unit of ORGANIZATION (or child OU) If you want them to Sync in OID. Administrative users AD should not be synchronized in OID.
  Patch your OID to 10 gr 2 game patches 2 or 3 before setting up the synchronization. The standard installation of 10.1.2.0.2's had problems syncing DIP.

  As Boloo said, there are some underlying the rules for vCenter 5.1 that did not exist for 5.0, which means that some additional settings are required for an installation script.

• SSO and calculations of the Application

  Having a problem with the application and SSO level calculations. Here's what's happening. I have an application with some elements of application level which must be calculated (say an identification number of a certain type) in order for my projects of security clearance at the level of the work page. I'm having a severe setback when people try to access a specific page in the application vs. the public home page. He gets permission controls appear to be pulled before the essential application-level calculations to do their job. I have check and the fields are null session (yet they inhabit very well when I leave a public page). I tried before and after the page header, as well as the new session and nothing works, fields always end null and the person who made it gets an error message mean denying them access. Can anyone offer ideas here? Perhaps a thought for the next version of the APEX, but add a point of transformation for essential operations that says "Prior authorization checks" that would cause them must be assessed and ran before trying to check your access to pages or the application level.

  One option that might work is to initialize the necessary application objects for authorizations in a process of "Message authentication" instead of a calculation of "new instance".
