VMWare backup software for funky VM with OS customers

Hey there,

I'm still new to this free version of VM Server and I wonder if someone as gone through this before:

My business takes 3 new servers/Applications which they will copy of virtual computer Images and we will import it onto a new server VM 2.0 host. These applications are: Linux, Open source, and another funky OS that I've never dealt with before. Such, ideas of backups are once a week, stop the virtual machines and save them as flat files or buy backup of virtual machine software (very little probable that I said). I prefer the option of backup of virtual machine and run every day, but with costs are the big problem at the moment, can anyone recommend another option for backup everyday live, these virtual machines?

Thank you

You could build a script than for vm snapshots, copy the base vmdk and then commits the snapshot.  Once copied to a shared location you can dump on tape no matter.  If you create the script and run as long as a cron job, you could reach a full vmdk backup every day.

I deleted all the software my computer HP running Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and tried to reinstall the drivers and clean software for both my Photosmart C4580 and for my Scanjet G4010, but when the installation starts after downloading, I get an error for each device dialog box "the system cannot find the file (or reader) specified. The dialog box header is "Users/Philip/AppData/Local/Temp/7zS7D57/installation/hpzpnp"... »

I can't get past this error message no matter how, I try to download and install. The printer still prints from another laptop in the network it is connected via the network, while the scanner is connected by USB.

  • Files zip backup gave 'temp' defeats attribute set, backup software

    Hello world

I do regular backups of my Lightroom Catalog. I also have my backup catalogue included in the backup of my system. However, when Lightroom creates a backup of the catalog, the zip 'temp' attribute is defined. It's quite understandable, some (including mine) backup software will ignore files with the attribute set temp for the Catalog backup is not saved. See the 'T' in the column 'Attributes' in the screenshot below:

Note that Windows displays normally all attributes. You must explicitly add the column for the display as shown above.

I use 10 Windows on a PC with the latest 64-bit LR. I consider that this is a bug in the LR backup. The backup files are not temporary! I'm posting here hoping that Adobe's technical team will recognize and correct this problem.

    Thanks for reading,

    Brian

It is a known problem. Please add your vote on the Feedback site:

  • How can I backup software Photoshop CS6 downloaded onto a DVD?

I downloaded Photoshop CS6 on my Mac.  How can I create a DVD of backup software for the future?  I know that this is possible, but I want to be sure that I have all the parts needed in case I need to reinstall the software after that CS6 is no longer supported.

    Adobe wrote:

Important: Back up your software uploaded to support offline, such as a DVD player or network. With a backup, you ongoing access to your software if it is not available on Adobe.com.

But... it tell me how to back up.  I certainly know how to back up files, but if it is missing something, and I get a new computer, I'm sunk.  Thanks for your help.

Adobe us to buy a DVD of the program among them if you download it?  One of my friends had this option when buying, but I don't have the opportunity for some reason any...

You have downloaded the software, I guess.  Just to the top of the files that you have downloaded, and that's all you need.

Or have you downloaded using an Adobe Download Manager?  In this case it is not clear what are the files to back up.

In this case I download the http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html Installer and save this unique Setup file.

Make sure that you follow the very important Instructions before proceeding with the actual download.

  • TOSHIBA HDD STOR. E partner 750Go PA4280E - 1 HG 5 - problem with the backup software

    Hello everyone

I recently bought an external hard drive TOSHIBA HDD STOR. E partner 750Go (PA4280E - 5 1HG) with preinstalled backup software Nero BackItUp & Essentials. Unfortunately the software does not work. When I double-click on it to start it, it starts to extract, but after a growth of 10%, there is an error message saying something like "data error".

How can I get the software? Or where can I get new software that works?

Thanks in advance for your help

As far as I know, the software can be downloaded from Nero.com

  • VMWare backup for the large disks (over 2 TB)?

    Hi all

I have an environment that have a large disks (> 2 to) Guest VM with a requirement to perform the backup.

As I understand it, VDP (Data Protection) has a limit of disk backup less than 2 TB. Any backup solution for this?

    Help, please!

    Limiting reference: http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-55/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vmware-data-protection-administration-guide-555.pdf

    Thank you

    James

Hi, James, you should switch to vSphere 5.5 first, because it introduced management of disks in virtual machine (vmdk) more than 2 TB. Once upgraded, you will be able to use the latest version of Veeam Backup and replication (v7 R2) which fully supports vSphere 5.5.

    See you soon.

  • Software for use with VCB

Hey guys its my first post, so go easy on me

I was wondering what software you want to use in conjunction with VCB.  We are moving completely virtual on our internal network, I need a good backup solution I can get off site, we are a small business there is no other site to reproduce too that from my point of view pretty much leaves me with bands as a solution we will have about 3 TB of data from full backups of machines.  I'm leaning towards a Quantum tape library pair with our proxy backup to disk to disk type of solution.  So I need some backup software good that performs the management of bands well.

If you think that there is a way more easy I am open to all suggestions

    Thanks for the comments.

    See you soon,.

    Matt

We use vRanger connection jointly with VCB to backup our VM on our server of vRanger connection and there our server IBM/TSM copied tape.

  • HP laserjet more than 8600: can I get OCR software for a more 8600 with a mac?

can I get OCR software for a more 8600 with a mac?

    If so, how?

    Hello

OCR software, I included in the HP scanning software.

In the Applications folder, find the Hewlett-Packard folder and launch the HP scanning software.

After the analysis, you can select RTF or TXT files that save by processing OCR scanning.

If you do not have the HP scanning software installed, remember to install the following software by checking the option of scanning HP during the installation:

  • When I try to run the Netgear software for use with my new router, I get a pop up window that says only: "service failure".

original title: WIFI ADAPTER 'SERVICE has FAILED.

Although my new Netgear dual-band "N" WIFI ADAPTER works optimally and, out of curiosity, I have re-installed several times using the accompaniment CD... there is a small problem I want to solve: when I click on the WIFI adapter desktop ICON, I get a window of PSI with the message "FAILURE of SERVICE.  Yet once, WIFI actually moved and is also indicated under the programs/features and works perfectly well.  When I bring up the icon under all PROGRAMS, the same result occurs: the same message reappears: "FAILURE of SERVICE.  When I called Netgear to the Philippines call center, support staff of so-called tech advised me to ignore the message and that I was the first caller on this issue, "as long as the WIFI adapter gives you the desired signal quality and speed, just ignore... "When I pressed on others, a supervisor at the call center told me that she would pass on the information that I provided to their engineers to study the problem.  In addition, the supervisor told me that no one had contacted the Center to call on this particular issue.  Yes, I even disabled the built-in WIFI adapters (Atheros), but the 'problem' in question still exists.  Please note that it is a phenomenon of long months and that in the past whenever I clicked on the ICON, the regular Netgear Windows would come upward, including the various hot spots in option, etc. I even updated the software successfully and rebooted the laptop, according to Microsoft's Windows Update instructions.  Please let me know what is happening and how I could fix this ' cosmetic ', if that's what it is, according to Netgear support.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

You can read this article and check if it helps:

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

For the first try to not use the utility of Netgear wireless. Often in Windows 7 Wireless works perfectly without special use of the adapter. If this map needs of the Netgear utility, in case something went wrong during installation I suggest you uninstall it and then reinstall. Also allows to download the fresh software for the Netgear adapter...
