  OPatch succeeded.

  This indicates that the hotfix has been applied with success - you can also confirm the same by issuing the command "opatch lsinventory.

  I don't know if it's the right way to do it. as a parameter the ORACLE_HOME to the new is not mentioned in the Readme of the Patch file

  We have a laboratory to test very small/dev with some ESX server and a Management Server VI including the Update Manager. This administration server is only a standalone machine with two local disks. In the vci - integrity.xml, we moved the location for the hotfix on a second drive data store

  Well, of course, that the file cannot be found, it was lost in the disk crash. The D-drive has been replaced, and I created the necessary directories manually. But in the subdirectory 3.5.0 - esx, there is no content and that the update of the weekly signature work runs and completes successfully, the lost content is not automatically recreated. I guess if there are new patches, they would appear there. But none of the 'old' patches of disk crash. If add us an ESX or need to re - install one, we need to patch, so I want to patch-store to be "complete" and contain at least the required corrections published after 3.5.0-U2.

  Then... I wonder what to do. Should I uninstall the Update Manager and re-install? I would like to avoid this. I couldn't find any command line interface (do not even talk about GUI) so far. Any help?

  The Update Manager database yet entered saying that patches are on the D: drive, even if they aren't there.  The entries in the database must be purged, or simply create a new database and point your current Manager to update to the new database.  All updates will then be re-uploaded.

• Drivers Ethernet and video for T5026 xp after installing the retail version os are missing. How and where should I go to get back them?

  New here, but I have an account for years.

  I have problems with a Linux distro installed in my version of Windows 7 VmWare 7.1.3 build 3206955 and start watching to see if I had the latest version of VmWare. When I click on search upgrades of VmWare, I get "No update available", then a message to get the 12 workstation. I can't find a link to a free version more. What I see is a paid version of Workstation Player 12 if a link to FAQ mentions free for home use.

  I had to upgrade to this version?

  It will be free for me (home use)?

  It will be compatible with my ONE and ONLY Kubuntu 14.04 distro? (I've read some complaints on this forum of not being able to load the old installs after upgrade)

  Are there benefits to upgrade (if it's free)?

  Are there precautions to be considered for an upgrade (again, so free)?

  VMWare Workstation has two different flavors:

  -Workstation 'Pro '.

  -Workstation 'Player '.

  Both can do the same, and both are paid ESSENTIALLY software...

  But as "Pro Workstation" has more advanced features (that you may never) it is more expensive than "Workstation Player".

  And VMWare said explicitly that the use of VMWare Workstation Player is FREE if you use it for commercial purposes.

  Of course, it then comes between you and your conscience :-)

  Workstation Player installation you are prompted for a serial number, but can decide to leave this field empty by saying that you will use for a commercial use.

  I think all versions of Workstation are equal performance wise. They differ only features wise.

  As I have not used Workstation before a few weeks, I can't tell if you get all the benefits if you are upgrading an earlier version.

  We made:

  • HP Proliant HP Service Pack upgrade to 2014.06.0_784915_001. We have HP BL460c Gen8 servers. The old PSP performed from September 2013
  • Installed patches for ESXi 5.1 U1, the latest 10-15 patches since February. Do not install 5.1 U2.
  • Upgrade VMware Tools on virtual machines.
  • Changed multi path IOPS / s for HP 3PAR from 100 to 1. (esxcli storage nmp ATAS add s "VMW_SATP_ALUA' Pei"VMW_PSP_RR"- IOPS O / s = 1 - c"tpgs_on"v '3PARdata' - M 'VV' EI 'HP 3PAR Custom iSCSI/FC/FCoE ALUA rule')

  After this interview little MSCS SQL cluster stopped working. It does not start because it cannot access the drive. I can see the drive in disk management, but they are all in an offline mode. Can't do anything about them, except a single disc. This one is online!

  Did anyone here have no idea what on Earth is wrong? If I does not tomorrow I have to list a species of Microsoft or VMware. I have not tried to remove/add the RDM-disc.

  Solved this KB KB VMware: change a LUN to use a policy different selection of the path (PSP)

  The "funny", it is that the cluster has been around for 4-5 years and works on EVA SAN and now 3PAR with RR as a policy path, and all of a sudden it stopped working. Perhaps a host profile political trigged in, I don't know. And I could also see and access 5/6 disks, why not 6? And was on the way from RR.

  Yes 11.2.0.3 is the latest version - 11.2.0.3 go 11.2.0.2 is an upgrade, not a patch.

  You will need to install 11.2.0.3 in another ORACLE_HOME, apply the latest patch of power supply to the 11.2.0.3 HOME (see this Doc MOS - quick reference to Patch numbers for power SUPPLY of database, SPU (CPU), Bundle Patches and Patchsets [1454618.1 ID]), then follow the steps in the upgrade doc

• VMWare Workstation 7 (retail version) takes more than 20 seconds to load

  I am new to the community, so I hope I gave enough information background with my problem.

  When I was using VMWare Workstation 7 RC, enforcement would literally load in a few seconds. Because I bought the "expedition" of the 7 Workstation version, the program takes more than 20 seconds to load. However, once loaded, it works fine with virtual machines - but it is such an inconvenience.

  Here are my computer specs:

  Intel Core Duo Quad core CPU, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit edition.

  Actions I take so far:

  I made a correct uninstallation of the RC, rebooted version and then install the retail version of Workstation 7. I also noticed that Workstation 7 interferes with Ccleaner (by Piraform). When I run Ccleaner, I get "unexpected error" messages and the program will not work correctly. So I uninstalled Ccleaner, but this has not fixed the problem with long load times. I also used the MSCONFIG Utility (such as published in a KB article) and hidden all the MS services and disabled the restrestarted, but it does not resolve the problem, either.

  Today, I made a Workstation 7 unistall and reinstalled Workstation 7, but same problem long loadtime. I am so puzzled as to why the RC version worked like lightning, and the retail version is so slow. All my other applications on my PC load and run fast as lightning.

  Have others experienced this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions, what else can be done to solve this problem?

  It seems you're having some sort of problem with the configuration of the proxy.  Your newspaper IU has:

  Use a proxy server?  If so, could you try go to control panel > network and Internet > Internet Options > connections > LAN Settings and either:

  A. Unchecking "automatically detect settings".

  B. explicitly specify a proxy server manually

  Or try running workstation and will change > Preferences > updates and unchecking "check new software components according to the needs.
