• 'VMware Workstation does not support the multiple monitors feature in other guests'

  When I click the icon "Cycle multiple monitors", I get the message "VMware Workstation does not support the multiple monitors feature in other guests."  Google found me no hits on it.  Anyone know what that means or how I could get multiple monitors to work?

  The host OS is Windows 7 Professional x 64 with service pack 1 applied.  The guest operating system is Debian Linux, version 8, also 64-bit.

  With your virtual machine turned off the power, go into the settings of your virtual machine and on the Options tab, under general, select the client OS type: Linux > Debian 7 64-bit.  Then try to turn your virtual computer and see if it works.  (8 debian is quite close to Debian 7.)

• VMWare Player more does support disk VHDX image files?

  I use VMware Player to run a virtual machine on my desk and have successfully created a leave of a virtual hard disk file that contains an image of the drive system.

  I would like to now add a data disc image which is a file VHDX - it's too big for a virtual hard disk image - but VMware Player does not recognize this.

  Does anyone know if VMware Player Plus will accept such an image? Or even VMware Workstation?

  Thanks for all this input that - after more experimentation - enabled me to solve my problem. I have two files created by disk2vhd utility Microsoft containing my system disk and my data disc. the first is a VHD file and a VHDX file because the data disk is greater than 2 TB. I wanted to create a virtual machine from these two files - on my Windows 7 host or my host of Windows 8. It is not possible on Windows 7 because the operating system does not support files VHDX editing as readers, but the following works on Windows 8:

  (a) Winimage use to convert the File System.VHD in System.VMDK (time consuming)

  (b) create a VM on the host WIndows 8, install the operating system later by removing the empty VMDK file and add System.VMDK as an IDE drive

  (c) editing the Data.VHDX file as a disk on the host Windows 8 attaching.

  (d) create a new. A VMDK file in the virtual machine that is large enough to hold all Data.VHDX (Yes, VMPlayer can create. More than 2 to - even on Windows 7, in this case the VMDK files)

  (e) sharing the drive created from file Data.VHDX as a shared folder in the virtual machine

  (f) copy its contents to the new. VMDK file

  Undoubtedly Ghost would be a better way to copy the file, but it seems to work for me.

I am trying to convert the server running (really a Dell PC) to a virtual machine that runs on ESXi (we are in phase, about to move all real servers ESX or ESXi, if we love him test).   Since the upgrade to Windows 10 HP 4630 Oficejet stopped working for copying and scanning options.  Print and fax options are OK.  Have updated to the latest version of the software (many times) without success.   Also checked the scan of the computer is turned on.  When you use HP Print and Scan verification pilot doctor fails (unable to communicate with the product). Follow the suggestion without any positive result.

  I read your post about how you are unable to make copies or your Officejet 4630 analyses, and I wanted to respond with my own suggestions. As you can not copy, it is a sign of a hardware problem as copies do not involve the computer somehow. I think the question can be a failure of scan of your description, as for you to open the link I posted below and try a reset and checking the connection of power supply and then try to make a copy again. If copies are still not, I would then contact HP directly to see about a printer replacement or trade for a new unit. If you encounter other problems, let me know and I'll do my best to help you!
