Volume button light

The light volume on my HP pavilion is not turn on when I turn off the sound on my computer. I've had the computer for less than a year. I was wondering what can be done to fix this?

Hello

Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59501-60000/sp59852.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again before checking if the 'secret' led functions correctly.

Kind regards

Most laptops have the volume dial a number on the motherboard, so the motherboard may be replaced.

  • Given that I have install iOS 9.3.1 my iPhone 6 Plus is very slow, in the speakers and keyboard, I can't watch videos in YouTube or Facebook and sometimes do not work the volume buttons and lock

Given that I have install iOS 9.3.1 my iPhone 6 Plus is very slow, in the speakers and keyboard, I can't watch videos in YouTube or Facebook and sometimes do not work the volume buttons and the lock. I rebooted my phone like 10 times and it does not work, I need help,

Have you tried a forced reboot? Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

If this does not help, I would like to try a restore:

  • My low volume button is stiff.

Hi all, my volume button on my iPhone 6 has sung a little, when pressing on it goes further into the phone that the maximum volume, he lost somehow his strengthens. It is more difficult to press on and it is just annoyin. Please can anyone suggest what I need to do. I have repairs and service coverage. I'm on the latest iOS.

Hey, it would be BETTER to find an iFix store in your location, do not take it to third party companies or otherwise you will lose your service coverage

  • Volume buttons not working not properly

The volume buttons on my keyboard do not seem to work right. When I adjust the volume, it is assumed to be a blue bar on the bottom screen to show how much the volume increased/decreased. For some reason, it does not show. That's all just annoying because I don't know how strong my volume is without clicking on the "speaker" icon.

The volume buttons still work. He can always put on mute, raise or lower the volume. It just does not display it on the screen when I press the buttons.

Try these 2 links and install, then reboot the pc.

    1) ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software7/COL19596/pv-51762-1/sp35034.exe

    2) ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software9/COL21985/pv-57800-1/sp37318.exe

    Also, note

The Volume OSD is a HP MediaSmart Menu function. He has to load at startup. To do this, start, in the box type msconfig, press ENTER, go to the Startup tab, then browse the list of startup items and make sure it is enabled under the Startup tab...

  • Satellite U500: Volume + button glue IT when it is connected to the power adapter

I have a problem with the touch buttons on my U500. I have already returned the first laptop that I bought for the Exchange.

    The question is this:
When the power cord is connected (without worrying if connected to the wall) the "Volume +" button will stick THERE.
The volume will continue to rise, it cannot be muted or turned down as the + keeps repeating.
Without the power cable inserted the works of buttons as expected (normally).

I made the new installation of recovery discs - do not set (under Vista)
Then another new installation Win7 upgrade and this new PC is having the same problem.
At first, I thought a hardware fault (the new PC worked fine for awhile).
But now the second PC has the same symptoms I suspect a software/driver problem.

I've seen suggestions for similar questions to:
Re-install "Toshiba common Modules" but I can't find it on the support site for U500 in Australia.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all.

What version of BIOS is installed?

    Try to update the BIOS.

  • Satellite U500 - the volume buttons do not work

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite U500 two days ago and already problems :(

It has a control buttons sensitive contact, which includes the eco, the media buttons and the volume control utility (+ and -)
The volume buttons do not work, and sometimes the computer crashes to their contact. Once I touch the-, he begins to turn volume down until it reaches zero, and even if I turn it up using windows, back to zero (as if the button is still depressed). The + does not work.

Help, please. Is it possible to re-install the drivers?
The only solution I found is to disable them using HWSetup...

Great news. Thanks for the comments!

  • Satellite A660: Comment and a question about button lighting / mute

    Note:

Hi, I'm the proud owner of a satellite A660-166 (3 days) and I installed everything from scratch on the win 7 pro because I got my laptop with a home (need pro for work) version... I met some problems, but this forum really answered my questions :) Never found such a useful for technical support forum. I wanted to express my gratitude and my support for everything you do for users :)

Problem: well, this isn't really a problem, more a curiosity... I had a few problems with the key eco, at this time there button lighting / mute was to mute... Thank you guys, I found out what needed to be done, I reinstalled the Flash card software and everything worked properly more the lighting button / mute has been for enlightenment now. I have nothing against that, I prefer it like this, but I wonder how to change that... I found some response on the use of toshiba wireless Assistant and the illumination tab... Because my laptop is fairly new, that I do not have a tab of enlightenment, I was wondering how to change the mute button if I want to?

Thanks, keep up the good work!

It's nice to hear that you found answers to your questions here. Many people here trying to help.

Back to your question: it is not easy to give a precise answer and I really put t know if you can change the settings of a single button. I think it has something to do with the registry entries, but how to change, that's another question.

If you use this button for lighting ON / OFF, you can use FN + ESC for the mute button so you have two options that can be used with a touch or quick key combination.
Can you please test and confirm that it works correctly?

  • volume buttons not working do not, not hardware related

I have a weird problem with volume controls on my iPad 3, iOS 9.2.1 - they do not work, but this isn't a hardware problem.

When on the main screen or in all applications, the volume buttons do nothing. In addition, no noise (and I don't have a silent ringtone value).  If I drag it to get to the Control Panel, the volume slider is simply not there.

However, the second that I plug in headphones, everything started working as it should, the volume slider reappears in the control panel and all is peachy. What works too, even without the headphones, is if I go into settings/sounds - volume buttons work and the sound is on.

    Thanks for any advice.

Looks like it's stuck in headset mode which is a hardware related issue you can read more here

  • Button / stop and the down volume button does not

Hello, I got a G4 bike for less than a month and the power on button and the low volume button are a reagent.

    Hello

I have the same problem. It certainly isn't a hardware problem, because after holding the power button for about 30 seconds, I was able to reset my phone.
It works well after the restart.

    Best regards
