Vom primary switching images secondary Image of SAN SAN.

Hello

I have company vSphere 5.1 with an EMC SAN of FC. SAN mirror with consistency groups are configured. The logical unit number ID is the same on primary and Secondary Site.

Now, I have to spend my main Image to the secondary Image of SAN SAN. VMware Infrastructure 3 needs a parameter of Advanced Configuration for this (sorry long ago...) And now with ESX 5.1, settings or problems?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Good bye

Mike

Political SAN is alternating.

Hello

with EMC FC tables the naa. identifier is not transferred to the secondary mirror (except VPLEX).

Kind regards

Ralf

  • Switch image in SWF

Hi, hope someone can help you.

In my Flex application, I have a map of the United Kingdom, built in FlashCS3, in which there are clickable 'areas' to click to go to a close-up of that region.

I also have many "pins" on the plan (added when running in Flex) above which SWF to create the dead zones in the regions where the button object is not registered that the mouse is on it.

Is it possible to get Flex to tell an image is completely ignored by the mouse?

    Thank you very much
    George.

There are two ways to address the issue:

one is to manage all events with a display object invisible who is located at the top of the display list and therefore receives all events. But then you need to check the coordinates and treat it right, that could be difficult, depending on your situation.

The other is to add an event to the image listener and when he is captured, send it to the below object. I don't think that bubble MouseMove events, but do Click events. If the objects under should receive Click events. But if you are simply interested in fishing MouseMove and MouseOver, then capture it with the graph of pin code and then send an event to the button object.

  • Cannot replicate from the primary to the secondary servers ACS

I have a primary ACS server and secondary and trying to replicate the primary database to the secondary.  When I do, the seconary reports 'inbound replication of database of ACS '' denied - shared secret mismatch. "  I believe that this refers to the shared secret, as I walked to the encryption of the database during installation.  Is it possible to change this secret shared without having to reinstall?  (Note that this isn't the key to AAA listed for itself in the Network Configuration).

Version is 4.1 on Windows Server 2003.

What version of acs do you use, and it is in fact the shared secret for the AAA servers and not the shared secret for the encryption of the database. There is a known bug, if you look at the free entry on the two instances of the acs is either one of them shows a loopback address and not the real ip address? If Yes, then you hit the bug I mentioned. The best way to solve it is to access the console as and change the ip address (for example to enable the dhcp pull an ip address and let the services restart). Then go back into the box and assign the static ip address you used. Services once to return to verify that the entered car now has the correct ip address (physical and not looping) and test your replication again.

    Do you mean by reliable?

It will be permanent if you apply via dgmgrl database pending:

Change the property set of database my_standby_db Binding = "optional."

    See the detailed database my_standby_db

You must ask it also on the primaries for the cases of change of role, but for now, you need to change it for the day before to take effect.

Making the optional standby destination will prevent them from beeing deleted primary until shipped it standby after the host is again.

  • White screen after you disable the primary monitor and secondary on Satellite

    Hello

I tried to connect a LCD screen on my laptop, in the first place, I went to the Panneau--affichage--controle--avancees--controler--proprietes--device use settings: disable!

This allowed secondary LCD screen but the most stupid thing, it is that when I wanted to return to the screen of my laptop that I followed the same procedure with the LCD.

The result is that now the two are empty. Laptop screen turns white as soon as starts to load windows. Combination Fn + F5 didn't help. I also tried to get into windows in safe mode, but it has not been possible.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    PLEASE, I BEG YOU.

    Thank you

During startup in safe mode, the laptop charge only a current drivers and it should be able to see something on the screen.
But if it is not possible and you are not able to deliver internal display on the screen, then I guess you need to start form the recovery CD and reinstall the OS :(

The new facility is scheduled to replace all the display settings and the laptop should work.

  • passing members Journal of primary databases / DG secondary...

    Hello.

I use Oracle 11.2 (Solaris) and I have a question about the redo log members.

Unfortunately, I do not have a test database that mimics the production in order to test what I have to do, otherwise I'm just do it in test and no need to ask the following question. In any case...

I found that the production database has 3 members in each redo log group knowing that there is no real valid reason to have more than 2 members per newspaper group, I want to drop one of the members of the Group of newspapers. So, my question concerns the members of journal pending. And if there is no extra step I have to take for the database pending.

For example, I have 9 groups of redo log 4 for primary and 5 for sleep.
It is ok. No problem with that. I want just to reduce the number of members of each group of 3 to 2.

(From http://psoug.org/reference/log_files.html), it seems that I just need to specify the 'stand-by' parameter in my syntax for dealing with members of journal pending.
    ALTER DATABASE DROP [STANDBY] LOGFILE MEMBER <logfile_member_path_and_name>;
This same action will also take place automatically on the basis of data pending?
I suppose it would be, but I just wanted to confirm.

    Hello again;

If the files have been deleted it too?

I'd probably, but I don't make very high on my list. If all goes well they will stay there 99% of the time and do nothing. A rainy day I would say.

    Best regards

  • Predownload image of access points

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the process of predownload.

According to the WLC configuration guide:

    1. download the new image for the WLC.

    2. change the image again to the backup image. (> startup config backup)

    3 predownload new image for access points > ap image config predownload {primary | backup} {ap_name | all}

Here I do not know whether to use primary or backup. Is - this view of the PA or WLC.

    I mean

the main use that means that the main image WLC is downloaded (which is actually the existing image as a result of step 2)

    or

the primary use means any image I download becomes the main image on the AP

    4 swap primary and secondary image on AP > config ap image swap {ap_name | all}

    5. make sure that all the APs did with the predownload

    6. system HH image reset {swap | non-swap} reset-aps [save-config]

Do not know what exactly the swap image is here. If one swaps the image on the AP only or on the controller as well?

I feel, if I followed the guide that my WLC will have the new code as backup and after reset system using the APs swap keyword will return with the new code.

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Krisztián

    Hi John,.

the WLC both the AP will review the main image to be the newly uploaded image.

    Current/running will be the backup.

Step 2, you mentioned below (startup config backup) just means that if you restart the WLC he starts from the backup image (which is the 'old' in this case).

You can check what is the active (running) and the following boot image on the WLC with the command "See the boot", for example:

(Cisco Controller) > see the boot
Main boot image... 7.0.98.0 (default) (active)
    Backup boot image... 6.0.199.0

Then, after using the command 'boot backup config' this will become:

(Cisco Controller) > see the boot
    Main boot image... 7.0.98.0 (active)
    Backup boot image... (default) 6.0.199.0

Thus, 'start-up' config backup will not backup image to become main... the WLC will start just from the backup image.

On the command 'config ap image predownload' on the WLC, the main / backup is from the point of view WLC:

(Cisco Controller) > predownload config ap image?

Predownload primary an image to a Cisco of the main image of the controller access point.

Predownload backup image to a backup image of the controller Cisco access point.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

    Federico

  • Predownload Image update for the controller

I have a question for someone who has experiece with predownload function.

I'm trying to minimize my reboot of the WLC.
Is it possible to download the AIR-WLC4400-K9-7-0-220-0.aes AND the AIR-WLC4400-K9-7-0-220-0-ER.aes for controller and restarting only once?

{make changes according to the comment of Wesley. He's right

No, you will need to restart after the installation of the daughter of ER. Do not install both files at the same time.

You can install the file .aes on the controller of two first and then use the command of permutation and perform a simultaneous restart.

    1. install AIR-WLC-7-0-220, 0 aes on both controllers (not restart)

2 see the boot (your new image is the main)

Change here: boot Config backup (* this is necessary if we use the command swap)

config 3 ap primary predownload image all the

4 (cisco Controller) > system reset to 00:05:00 image swap reset-aps save-config //will reset the controller in 5 minutesand restart the APs so that they can come back with the new image

    More details are here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/customer/docs/wireless/controller/7.0MR1/configuration/guide/cg_managing_ctrlr.html#wp1177046

    Additional notes:

The access point compares his running image with the image running on the controller. If the versions match, access point joins the controller.

If the versions do not match, the access point compares the version of the backup image, and if they match, the access point swaps main and backup images and recharging and later joined the controller.

  • LAG does not not after more Guide of switch Configuration for EqualLogic San steps in the document.

We use the information provided in the following document: i.dell.com/.../dell-networking-n4000-series-switch-configuration-guide-for-equallogic-sans.pdf

We have two switches of N4032F which are stacked and followed almost word for Word from this document.  We do not use DCB.  We are trying to set up a SHIFT and follow-up step 2.11 in the document, but it seems that the SHIFT does not work.

    Switch 1:

    serial interface fortygigabitethernet 1/1/1-2

    No spanning tree portfast

    active in mode channel-group 1

    Switch 2:

    interface series fortygigabitethernet 2/1/1-2

    No spanning tree portfast

    active in mode channel-group 2

However, when it was discovered after changing these settings it shows them as being inactive.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you

    Jeff

Thanks for the additional information. When the switches are stacked, they act as a logical switch. Then when you plug with an OFFSET you are basically creating a loop and hook up a switch on himself. Desempilement switches and just use the OFFSET for the interconnection of the switch and you should see the GAL go active.

  • Archiving content without defining a primary/secondary file

    Hello!

    We use UCM 10 g.

I know that the main file is mandatory. That is why I ask you, if there is a work around for this problem.

    Hello

It's absolutely possible consignment of content without specifying file primary / secondary. Put these config 2 entries in config.cfg, restart UCM and then you can use metadata Checkin only option:

    AllowPrimaryMetaFile = true
    createPrimaryMetaFile = true

Let me know how it goes.

  • Add a secondary NETWORK card to a different network in a virtual machine

We have two ESX 3.5 servers that have been set up by someone else.  All virtual methods on them to join our network of primary trust.

Well now, I have a virtual machine that needs to connect to our SAN.  To do this with a box of physics, I would be just a second NETWORK adapter to connect the switch that goes to our SAN (that switch is not connected to our network of trust, it's a completely different IP range), but of course I can't do it with a virtual machine.

The ESX servers already have a connection to these switches, because the SAN is where they store all the images in VMWare.  But I have no idea where start setting this up to allow the VMs themselves to have a secondary NETWORK card to go to the SAN switch.

How could I go about this?

    Thank you

Go to your vSwitch configuration, add a port group of virtual machine (give it a name like "VM portgroup iScsi").

Then add a new network adapter to the virtual machine and attach it to the new group of port.
