VProTray.exe - no disc

Using Windows Vista - recently, when sending to the Dell AIO 966 printer, two messages appear on the screen: "there is no disk in the drive. Insert a disk in the drive\Device\Harddisk5\DR5' and "VProTray.exe - No. Disk"

Sometimes, the printer will print - other times will not.

Have used this printer for several months without problem.

Hi Yvon,.

Here is a summary of what is VProTray:
Summary: Symantec LiveState Recovery Advanced Server
Company: Symantec Corporation
Description: Symantec LiveState Recovery Advanced Server
Process: VPROTRAY. EXE

the message can happen when you put a device to your USB port. Is it when its coming?

I saw one resolution other than to disable the program to run automatically when your computer starts.

We can do this in two ways.

1. the first is to try to change the setting in the program itself. You should see an icon in the taskbar (lower right corner)
Move your mouse over them to find the one that says Symantec or VPro... Select it with a left or right click... The idea is to launch the program and find the setting. You want to find a setting that says launch with Windows startup. Uncheck the option.

Another option is to use MSCONFIG to disable the item in the list of all the programs that launch at startup of Windows.

Click on start and type > MSCONFIG > press enter
Select the Startup tab and look for a list that corresponds to the program VProTray.exe. Remoe the checkbox.
Click on apply and then OK
You restart the computer
You shouldn't have the problem again unless and upgrade to the wrath of program back on.

Alternatively, you can contact Symantec for assistance.

I hope this helps

    What is itype.exe
on startup, I get a window indicating itype, exe no disc, disc conclude from harddisk5.
I tried repiaring the system with the disk to instal unsuccessfully to advice please?

I completely uninstall Intellitype and restart. I would then Setup using the file downloaded from the Web site instead of using the CD because it really sounds like the Setup routine has not finished properly, and it is always looking for the CD. Maybe if the CD is old there no Vista drivers. The only hits I get from Googling "Intellitype conclude disk harddisk5" are associated with malicious software. The error started right after the installation of the Intellitype software for the first time? If this isn't the case, then analytical anti-malware couldn't hurt.

  • IType.exe no disc message at startup

After the start under Vista sp2, I have a warning block that has itype.exe No. disc as the title.  It says disk, enter harddiskx where x is a number, usually 2, sometimes 3 or more.  He proposed to cancel, try again or continue. IntelliType always seems to work although I don't use it that often.

It is a new problem that began shortly after the installation of SP2.  I tried to do a restore, but he leaves with unidentified error message. I have uninstalled/reinstalled 7.1 Intellitype.  If I take out of the routine of starting intellitype I do not get the message.

    ... Any help please thanks

    Hello imsnowman72,

It seems that some of the IntelliType fails to load components at startup.

You must also uninstall the Intellitype software on your computer and restart the computer, when you uninstall software the computer restart and check if you have the same problem.

Then you can go on installing the software afterwards.

I suggest that you remove the Intellitype software, using the Windows Cleanup utility. Here is a link you can follow the installation of the Windows Cleanup utility.

You can download Windows Install CleanUp Utility starting from Microsoft Download Center:

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

Here's what you should do with the Windows Cleanup utility.

Once you download and install the cleanup utility. You can go to start, all programs.

Open the utility cleaning and it lists all the programs installed on your computer. Search the Adobe reader on the computer and then install it.

You can follow the link below to download the Intellitype software for the version of your Windows following the link below:

I had the same error today and found the answer to my question.  Acrobat attempts to retrieve a file on a removable disk, which is no longer present.  In my case, it's an SD card.  I reinserted the card in the reader and acrobat then asked if I wanted to recover the file, to which I said no. Acrobat no longer shows the message at startup.

What operating system is involved? Assuming that Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64-bit for now.

There is a known No Disc error associated with the elements first 13/13.1. The Adobe fix is the removal or disabling of the OldFilm.AEX file. Let us determine if this applies to your situation.

The file OldFilm.AEX that you remove or disable renaming in OldFIlm.AEXOLD is located in the path of 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 of

    Local disk C

    Program Files

    Adobe

    Adobe Premiere Elements 13

    Plug-ins

    Commune

    NewBlue

and in NewBlue folder is the file OldFilm.AEX that you remove or disable renaming in OldFilm.AEXOLD.

Please let us know if it works for you.

I have a HP m8034n (Vista SP2). I've renamed all readers concerned three times. Once under a new name (had the same problem), then back to the original and the unsolved problem.

The third time, I renamed all readers and did a restart and pulled the USB key that caused the initial problem. As it was put in service, I hit F11 for recovery of the system (by selecting the repair option)... still have the same problem.

Readers (DR3, DR4, DR5 and DR6) all seem to be slots of media card that I have no reason to ever use. Can I unplug them to solve the prob?

    Thank you.

Possibly not related, it's explorer.exe has stopped several months ago the start and I have to start with the Manager tasks. I will look on a different topic for that property.

I scanned the memory with free Pandasoft of the trial to deal with the problem explorer.exe via another post and voila, my system.exe was a spider. The No. disc problem has been eradicated.

I just hope that I have something to swallow the panda that has swallowed the spider... lol. [Do not have the Explorer at startup thingy, but I'll keep looking]
