  • I tried setup.exe /?, and setup.exe -?, and the installation continues straight on the pilot of c: (small SSD drive; need to install on the 1 TB SATA drive on the HP workstation).
  • I looked for the MSI command line options, and there is not to change the installation location.

  There is a post somewhere that explains it?  I had no luck with my research in the forums on the web.

  When the "Specify the deployment directory" configuration is selected then you may need to use a deployment tool to deploy this package and need to call for the installation .msi.

  I hope that under Microsoft section can help. It has all the command line to install msi.

• Specify the destination data store

  Can someone tell me how to specify the destinaion for a conversion job data store.  For now, it is to choose a (seemingly random) default data store based on the host (also a seemingly random choice by default).

  I can't find anything on a data store in the definition of the target.

  First of all to respond to the selection of the host.

  If you are targeting a VC and your VM need to be deployed on specific ESX you must set the property 'host' to 'ConverterTargetVmSpecManagedVmLocation '.

  Host property is ManagedObjecReference to "HostSystem" (see Ref. guide). Thus, the code should look like similar to (java):

  ConverterTargetVmSpecManagedVmLocation targetVMLocation = new ConverterTargetVmSpecManagedVmLocation();

  ........

  ManagedObjectReference targetESX = new ManagedObjectReference();
  targetESX.setType ("HostSystem");
  targetESX.set_value("host-93"); can get real value through the VC API

  targetVMLocation.setHost (targetESX);

  To answer the second question - for selection of storage.

  If you want to select certain data for the target VM store when managed destination is used you must set the property 'vmxDatastoreName' of the data object 'ConverterStorageParams' (it is property of ConverterCloningParams, which is prop from ConverterConversionParams, which are the pillar of the ConversionJobSpec).

  If you want virtual disks virtual (file hard) machine is stored in different data store of VMX data store, you must set property 'datastoreName' of the data object ConverterStorageParamsManagedTargetDiskParams (which need to be addressed for the post of pillar of object 'ConverterStorageParams')

  The cluster runs under Network (e.g. 10.80.143.0) under any one or two IP, because several IP addresses of the network in question can be used (it is about scalability and availability), you install a cluster it show the networks used, not used IP (this occurs in any system of cluster, you must specify the network).

  Nobody here knows where you specified to save the file on YOUR computer. Thunderbird does not control that.
  You can open the file again, and then select Save. It will more than likely try to save in the same place. Pay attention to the place this time to see where it was saved. If this location is not to your taste, specify a different location, and then delete the first record attempt.

  I use TestStand 2012 on a Windows 7 PC. I have problems with dynamically by specifying a StyleSheetPath (for XML report format) within the SequentialModel. When you specify the path by using Runstate.Execution.Report.StyleSheetPath, the correct style sheet is used when the report is displayed in TestStand completed report tab. However, this stylesheet is not saved on the report on the disc. Instead, the report on the drive uses the default stylesheet as specified in configure > treatment result.

  What does not, is when I use Parameters.ReportOptions.RelStyleSheetPath of the ReportOptions reminder in my customer database (this causes the style sheet correct to use TestStand both in the report on the disk). Unfortunately, this reminder is empty in the SequentialModel and does not appear to be running at least that the substitution of a client file.

  We have a huge amount of client files, and add the same ReportOptions reminder to all of them is not ideal. I need a method to specify the style sheet path once dynamically in the SequentialModel. Any help would be appreciated.

  ReportGen_xml.seq does not contain a reminder ReportOptions. NI_ReportGenerator.SEQ has the recall, and this edition does not seem to work, thanks for pointing me to the finger in the right direction.

  You can specify the sampling frequency with "DAQmx Timing.vi" located in the function palette DAQmx (read context-sensitive help on how to use wisely).

  You do not have to use M & A exploring (MAX) to create a task.

  A simple and quick way is to use DAQ Assistant (same configuration as in MAX) to configure your measurement.

  Another is to use blocks of DAQmx function to manually build your application code.

  In my experience Assistant DAQ is ideal for simple tasks (one measure), with regard to the more complex measures (synchronized the analog and digital inputs).

  I tend to use function blocks because they give you more freedom about code execution.

  Note: You can also build DAQmx code from a wizard configured DAQ task.

  No doubt a variation of this has been requested before, so my apologies, but I'm unable to find anything.

  I use a PCIe-6537 and try to generate a long sequence (say 2 seconds) using C. Is it possible to only specify some samples? Or do I need to specify the value each time the sample?

  For example, suppose I want 32 track 1 followed by HIGH microsecond of a second BASS, repeated twice. I wish I could say:

  Example 0: 2 ^ 32-1

  Example 1:0

  Sample of 1000000:2 ^ 32-1

  Sample 1000001:0

  However it seems I have to specify the actual value at each point in time. Of course, it takes much more time and memory to write but I do not see otherwise. Is there a way?

When you specify the expression (... > specify the path file of report by Expression > Expression browser), I would like to combine macros with FileGlobals, but none of the FileGlobals are listed is available. The expression builder has access to the StationGlobals however, but not in the FileGlobals.

  I think you found a bug in the documentation.  In the process of old models, you can use the FileGlobals of the process model as that sentence States.  Now that they moved to Plugins I don't think that this is no longer true.  You may need to go with a StationGlobal on it.

  Or you can cancel the ReportOptions recall and change the Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression variable to include the information in your customer file.  So, basically, to define a placeholder in your expression in the dialog box options report.  Then in the callback to use the SearAndReplace method to replace the placeholder with the specific data.  It worked for me when I tested it.  The nice thing about this way, is that you don't have to manage the StationGlobals.
