  Nobody here knows where you specified to save the file on YOUR computer. Thunderbird does not control that.
  You can open the file again, and then select Save. It will more than likely try to save in the same place. Pay attention to the place this time to see where it was saved. If this location is not to your taste, specify a different location, and then delete the first record attempt.

  You can specify the sampling frequency with "DAQmx Timing.vi" located in the function palette DAQmx (read context-sensitive help on how to use wisely).

  You do not have to use M & A exploring (MAX) to create a task.

  A simple and quick way is to use DAQ Assistant (same configuration as in MAX) to configure your measurement.

  Another is to use blocks of DAQmx function to manually build your application code.

  In my experience Assistant DAQ is ideal for simple tasks (one measure), with regard to the more complex measures (synchronized the analog and digital inputs).

  I tend to use function blocks because they give you more freedom about code execution.

  Note: You can also build DAQmx code from a wizard configured DAQ task.

  No doubt a variation of this has been requested before, so my apologies, but I'm unable to find anything.

  I use a PCIe-6537 and try to generate a long sequence (say 2 seconds) using C. Is it possible to only specify some samples? Or do I need to specify the value each time the sample?

  For example, suppose I want 32 track 1 followed by HIGH microsecond of a second BASS, repeated twice. I wish I could say:

  Example 0: 2 ^ 32-1

  Example 1:0

  Sample of 1000000:2 ^ 32-1

  Sample 1000001:0

  However it seems I have to specify the actual value at each point in time. Of course, it takes much more time and memory to write but I do not see otherwise. Is there a way?

  I think you found a bug in the documentation.  In the process of old models, you can use the FileGlobals of the process model as that sentence States.  Now that they moved to Plugins I don't think that this is no longer true.  You may need to go with a StationGlobal on it.

  Or you can cancel the ReportOptions recall and change the Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression variable to include the information in your customer file.  So, basically, to define a placeholder in your expression in the dialog box options report.  Then in the callback to use the SearAndReplace method to replace the placeholder with the specific data.  It worked for me when I tested it.  The nice thing about this way, is that you don't have to manage the StationGlobals.

  I'll have a bit of a problem with how to specify the location of library shared in a call library function node it is a VI that is part of a library of LV. Here's a little background which may help.

  I do a lot of measures using spectrometers photo from several manufacturers.  Someone in my company developed a C DLL library, which provides a simple API for all the different spectrometers. To facilitate this DLL to use in LabVIEW, I wrote a .lvlib that wraps all the functions.  When I want to use the API, I simply include the .lvlib file in my project that allows me to drag and drop the wrapper s VI on my block diagram. When I created the .lvlib of VI, I specified the path in the call library node. /. * so it will always look in the local application to the DLL directory when I run.

  The problem is, when I load demand, LabVIEW you asks for the location of the DLL even if it's just there in the local directory! I tried to put copies of the DLL in the directory with the .lvlib, but he still refuses to find the DLL loading.  What I am doing wrong?

  You should in this simple case enter the full path to the DLL by navigating to it. If the DLL is on the same volume/drive that the VI containing the call library node LabVIEW will be internally store the relative path from the VI to the DLL (but still show the absolute path). If you move the DLL and screw together (so the relative location of the DLL to the VI remains the same) LabVIEW will always find the DLL.

  I don't think that the lvlib would add nothing to that.

  I am trying to open a file .xls existing from the same location as the test sequence file. Can you TestStand search in the location of the sequence input file test file and then select the if present? Also, can we store the output file in the same place without specifying the path to the code?

  Input.xls-> input file to the test sequence that must be read.

  Output.xls-> output file created by the test sequence.

  Test.SEQ-> the test sequence that reads Input.xls and creates Output.xls.

  If Test.seq and Input.xls are present instead of D:\Test\, the Test.seq code can be modified to pick up the Input.xls automatically without specifying the path? In addition, can Output.xls be created to D:\Test\ without specifying the path?

  Yes, this can be done. You can get the path to the current sequence file using RunState.SequenceFile.Path. Then find and remove the last '-' using the string functions to get just the path. You can then use this path to manage your files Input.xls and Output.xls.

  I try to open a com port Seraglio in LabVIEW get this error:

  It occurs in ISA set up a Serial Port (Instr) .vi and seems to be related to the speed of transmission. If I use anything else than 9600, I get this warning. I need to use 115200. I can open successfully to other com ports at 115200.

  I am able to talk to this device using other Terminal programs to 115200 without problem. It is only through LabVIEW and NI MAX.

  The Unit presents itself as "Stellaris Virtual Serial Port (COM12)" in deveice Manager.

  Is there a way to get around this?

• How to specify the precision required to NonLinearCurveFit

  Hi all

  I use the Non linear adjustment method. The method takes all accept the argument of the crieteria judgment. Only the crieteria there is the max iteration. I want the algorithm to iterate until what the quadratic error average of 1E-08 is reached. However it seems that the crieteria exit is hard-coded to be the value of the minimum deviation of function Marit 0.001.

  I work with a very small number here and therefore require very high precision.

  Can someone tell me a workaround to get higher level accuracy (as if the scale would help? if yes, then what is the exact procedure? I tried my way to him but not luck). I have another software (which is a freeware) using who, when I do this adjustment, the residue is minimal (less than 1E-10, quite within my acceptable limits) but when I use the library OR (for which I paid a very high amount) it stops fairly early whithout allowing me to specify the precision desired.

  I know that updates the library would not be that at first, but any idea on no good workaround solution is appreciated.

  And I suggest strongly to it please add this facility throughout the CurveFit library in your future updates. Any professional library must allow the user to decide what level of precision is good enough!

  Its been a week since I posted this question, but not one of the people NOR. SAD!

  However after a long on internet serching, found following link

  For all of you who are stuck with all of CurveFit of NOR and its limits, this is the easiest way to use any type of estimators. Here are the features:

  1. only for linear and Non-linear editing library

  2 user can set thresholds and weights to the settings

  3. the user can define the function by the string expression. So no question of changing the definition of the function to try new possibilities of functions.

  I was very moved with this activeX control which is a FREEWARE. Maybe people NOR should learn how the library should be when they charge astronomical values for Measurement Studio and you give implementations where the user didn't flexibililty even specify the threshold. I guess the majority of implementations of the EMM is better suited for the acedemic only search.

  For commercial uses, this FREEWARE is far more superior as Measurement Studio.
