VRRP with (er) strong authentication?

It seems that IOS supports currently VRRP with simple text password authentication, only. Can a person from development comment on when we might see the stronger IP Authentication Header variant for VRRP security in IOS?

You are right regarding the current VRRP with simple text password authentication. MD5 encryption supported VRRP version 2 will be integrated into the IOS around 2nd semester 2003.

    For the last few weeks, I had problems with my internet connection. Wireless connections say I am connected and have the strength of the excellent signal. I know that this is not an ISP problem because my other computer works fine. I will be reviewed fine and then all of a sudden, the site doesn't load any more, although I'm always connected to the internet. This happens on Firefox and Internet Explorer, this isn't a browser issue.

    I read other offered on the internet and tried all, but nothing has changed. I have checked proxies, disabled antivirus and installed new, checked firewall, ran a check for malware, etc..

    Any help will be much appreciated because it becomes very frustrating to have to keep reconnected my internet when he says he's working.

    We have an ASA5510. I put two group for remote VPN, and both use NT domain authentication. How can I define tunnel-group lock for users in both group.

    How can I lock the user to the group. Is there a configuration in Active Directory to set the Group of users.

    I don't know what the solution is, I found nothing.

  • Dynamic to static IPSec with certificate-based authentication

    I'm trying to implement a dynamic to static LAN2LAN vpn from an ASA 5505 (with a dynamic IP address) to an ASA5520 (with a static IP address)
    I wish I had a small (/ 30) network on the side dynamics which I can connect to a larger (/ 24) network on the static side.
    I also try to use the identity for authentication certificates.

    I produced a root and intermediate CA signed of the intermediate CA with the certificate authority root and then created identity cases for
    the ASAs, signed with the intermediate CA using OpenSSL and imported to a trustpoint

    I tried to use the instructions on:

    to configure certificates (replacing MS with OpenSSL) and following the instructions to:

    I tried the ASDM to set up the cert to identity appropriate on the external interface

    setting the part that gets its IP via DHCP static and the side that has the IP permanently to accept dynamic.

    I apply the settings, and nothing happens.

    See the crypto isakmp just returns "there is none its isakmp.

    I don't know where to start debugging it. How can I force the side DHCP to initiate a connection?

    We are sure that both peers are using the same isakmp settings? It seems the policy that uses rsa - sig on one end uses a different Diffie-Hellman group.

    I think, in a document, just to mention for example,

    It will not be advisable if keeping the user weblogic/pwd in Java code, at the end of this java code becomes a jar file and deployed to the server and then downloaded to the client computer. ensure that completely and the values are hardcoded, if the password change question once again, this means having user/pwd in jar will never be a good solution.

    For a quick overview, I'd do it keep advice the user/pwd in db in encrypted form and access to oracle form with decrypted and pass the value in the api ReportServiceClient.CallRunReport)

    If you feel, every time you need to access user/pwd of db and decypte it, that I advise you here, get user/pwd when set in the context of db and out of context with decrypted.

    Another may be the best idea.

  • IIS connector with enabled basic authentication fails to process the default Document

    Our web site is configured with index.cfm as default document. We have configured a directory to use Basic authentication. If the URL is without extension (/csts_test/) IIS authenticates the user but the mistakes of cfmHandler IsapiMidule out. If the URL contains an extension (/ csts_test/index.cfm) or if the default document is a static page (HTML, etc.) IIS authenticates the user and the page is returned to the browser successfully. This seems to be similar to the post on the forum default document is not being processed when not included in the URL , but no resolution is documented. Here are the data of the isapi_redirect.log (verbose / debug) failure.

    Does anyone know of a way to make the IIS connector honours a CFM document file by default if basic authentication is enabled? Is this a bug in the connector?

    Both basic authentication and Windows authentication require that the directory with the isapi_redirect.dll to have permissions that are defined so that user authentication has reading/performance. This solves the problem.

We discussed these options, but it implies the copy of the private key of the user as well the Converter server machine and the destination of VM (because the two parties establish the SSH connection to the source), and we suspect that some people will not be happy to this topic, so that lowered the priority argument.

    The ID or the password appears on a site, but the two do not seem to with Firefox 24. I have an iMac with OS X version 10.9 (Mavericks, who is also newly installed).

    Note that you are currently using a beta version of Firefox 26.0 and not the current version of Firefox 25.0.

    There are two ways to correct the message 'windows dialin permission required. You can either add permissions to call on the user accounts on your database of Windows, or you can remove the option "Require Dialin permissions" ACS. To do this, go to "External user databases" and select "Database Configuration". Then go in your database of Windows and click "configure". The first option is a

    box that gives you the opportunity to "make sure that grant dialin permission is checked.

    Checking this box will cause the error you get if your windows users do not have permissions to call. If you uncheck this box, it must clarify this.

    I want to migrate from ACS ACS 5.2 4.1. I have already configured authentication GANYMEDE +, but now I've stuck to the RADIUS authentication for remote access WebVPN configuration. Please see the following diagram:

    I want to configure ACS to use Server Token WBS first. If authentication fails or the user is not found, ACS must use IAS in Windows Server. If this server fails also ACS must use internal DB. Additional attributes as belonging to a group or ACL downloadable should be taken from internal ACS DB.

    Is it possible to configure ACS like that? ACS 4.1 it is very easy to configure by selecting the per user authentication method.

    There is an option in the Advanced tab of definition 'RADIUS Identity server' th:

    This storage of identity differentiates between 'authentication failed' and 'user not found' when an authentication attempt is rejected. Among the options below, select how a rejection of authentication of the identity store must be interpreted by FAC for the politics of identity of treatment and reports.
    Releases to treat as 'authentication failed' treat dismisses them as "user not found".

    In order to continue in the sequence, I think you have to select the option "user not found".
