  When you click on the console of a virtual machine, the server that hosts the vm responds back with its host name for your client to connect to.  Thus, the MKS console could not be connected to, and you could not see the virtual machine console, until you updated name resolution.  Given that the ESX host is back with a name, the customer could not resolve the name, if your client could not connect to the virtual computer mouse, keyboard, screen.  Hope that makes more sense.

  I try to add a (first) worker in an existing instance of log insight.  I've updated my standalone version to 2.5 and is trying to add a newly deployed worker.  I did this exact process in my case of test without any problems, but the stand-alone server, I added the worker was a newly deployed server 2.5, not a server with a ton of data that has been updated several times.  When I try to 'Allow' the workman in the Cluster Management screen I get the following error: "errors in clients: 192.168.245.11:16520, null.  I can ping the servers between them and my test case on 192.168.x.x exactly as these servers network.  Please let me know if I'm missing something obvious.

  Restart the master and see if the problem is resolved.

• vSphere CLI: error: unknown command

  This could be as simple as just something I miss, but since I do not use the CLI much at all, I thought I'd ask just. I can connect to the CLI, but any command I use the host responds just with either "< command > not found" or when you use vSphere CLI "error: unknown command or namespace.

  I even tried connecting through my server vCenter Server and then go out to the host by using the command - vihost, that works, but I still get the error that the command I try to use it recognized.

• Advanced vSphere Data Protection restore client connection fails

  Dear all,

  I have a problem with the Data Protection restore vSphere Client. Including the option advanced. If I use the option of database connection I can get to my saved VM and I can also restore a single file if I want to. Whenever I try to log in with my domain account and the account root POS I get the message "failed to connect vCenter username or incorrect password.

I know that the root account is good and the password as I can also connect to POS via the menu of the server vcenter5. I am also able to enter the configuration of POS with the root account.   Credentials change requires a restart of the device and I saw the PW in a config file, so I think it's hardcoded.

  If you have changed, may be the cause of your problem.

  At MyVMware, I can see our own business license keys and also my costomer license keys. How ever I can not understand how to 'Add' or 'upgrade' or 'renew' or what do I purchaced license to find 5.1 vSphere license keys to my client. Can I get 4.1 only license keys there.

  Also in MyVMware super user of the client has bad emaild address - no e-mail at all such-domain.

  I would recommend you open a support case license with VMware (from the portal of my VMware) on behalf of your client and explain what you see now and how it is supposed to look like. Provide details regarding the purchase of renewals (no matter what email address on the order form of renewal might be important).

  From my experience, licenses support is extremely helpful and I am sure that they will be able to get it straightened up in no time.

  That's what I did: open the (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\Launcher\VpxClient.exe.config C:\Program Files and scroll down to the section

  Type a new line with the following text in it:

  240

  Save and test - it was done on a 64-bit computer, you may need to change the path of program properly files for which the ViClient is installed on if 32-bit.

  Hi all

  This whole process of view 4.6 always new.

  I get the following error when I try to connect to View Client 4.6 to automated pool of 3 XP desktops. In sight, administrator, I was able to create a pool of 3 computers of Office XP without problem. I called about 5 users to use the pool. I see the pool I created when I use the customer to view. Desktop shows as 'available' in the client.

  When I go to connect through PCOIP or RDP, I get the same error.

  I added a DNS entry for my server view I've seen a few suggestions in other posts, to ensure what has been done (it was not, is now...) but it still does not work.

  Error:

  Tunnel of disconnected

  The secure connection to the server view has suddenly disconnected.

  Reason: create new socket to connect to xx.xx.xxx.xx:443 (PCName.mydomain.com).

  I don't know that I missed something stupid. Anyone can add anything before I have the whole thing scarp and redo? No chance to find this documented error.

  This could be a firewall issue and if so do I need to disable the firewall on the image of the mother and recreate the pool?
