  The problem of fluidity can be the result of a graphics card problem:

  Have you installed a version of vanilla from Windows? Or XP has been installed from the Toshiba Recovery Disc?
  Maybe you are missing several key structural factors (common modules for example). Also make sure that you use the drivers to display on the Toshiba site.

  Also try a BIOS update (v1.70 is the last one I think).

  I recently bought two monitors Dell U2414H to work with my book surface and surface dock. The monitors to work reliably for a while (sometimes up to 3 or 4 hours) then suddenly one or two will be turned off and the display will switch to the surface for a second book or two and then return to the monitors.   Workaround short term =
  Surface CDM Dock on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #1 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor
  Surface book CDM on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #2 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor

  Long term = solution
  We still see a lot of questions with our instructors and Surface products.   After using the ATI Radeon X 1300 in the docking station advanced with my W500 (4061-38U) for more than a year, I'm in a clear position to conclude, it is not worth. Here are the reasons why you should not have this configuration:

  So, yesterday, I got back to this configuration more simple but more effective: W500 + advanced dock + 1 Viewsonic 22 '' LCD in landscape + Viewsonic 22 "LCD 1 running in portrait mode + disk backup in the dock UltraBay + external USB mouse and keyboard.

  I have a laptop ThinkPad X 240 with Windows Enterprise 8.1 x 64 installed. His plays very well from the speakers of the laptop, and when I plug in external speakers on the computer portable 3.5 mm audio port, they work very well also.

  Dock Ultra has (I think) the latest firmware installed (version 2.22.000) and I have the latest audio drivers installed: in Device Manager > sound, video and game controllers > Realtek High Definition Audio > driver version is 6.0.1.7188 which is the last available Lenovo support downloads.

  What should I do to get the Ultra audio port Dock works?

  When I use the out port of my docking station (Series edited by moderator) I get no bass sound, just hail my wide range speaker. When the speakers are plugged into the headphone jack directly on the laptop it normal sound, with a full range of sounds. I checked the setting in the CP of its speakers are identified as the range, so this isn't the issue. There is no sound improvement enabled in Control Panel SRS. I'm puzzled. Why no bass when you use the docking station only. I tried two different docking stations with the same result: no bass.

  • Go to the control panel
  • Choose the material and audio

  or simply to display all Control Panel items

  • Select SRS Premium Sound Pro (it's an icon of circle blue/white)
  • Wait for the program to come black EQ
  • Select the tab/words "listening experience" near the top of the window of SRS Premium Sound PRO
  • Uncheck the 'improvement of Audio '.
