• The recovery W530 instalation problem

  I am trying to install the factory system on Lenovo laptop, W530, since the recovery discs original dedicated to the Lenovo W530 (Windows 7 64-bit), and the instalation stops some time after that I chose that there is no additional disks (I mean there is no statament, just the bass progress stops with no message). • Optical Drive turns W530 offshore running Windows 8

  With Win8 on W530, the optical drive turns off shortly after start. Failed device management after that. Accessory optical drive and a UJ-260 do the same thing.

  BIOS 2.52 and 2.53: same problem. Main card has Intel RAID option ROM.

  Running Windows 7, the optical drive stays on without any problem.

  I would like to hear if there is a difficulty before you restore Windows 8. Win7 good for now.

  I recently updated my external monitor for Samsung S27A850D best resolution 2560 x 1440. After some effort, I finally managed to get this resolution, and, among other things, the section of the display of the control panel correctly shows the resolution. • No screen of the computer after the update of Windows 10 anniversary

  I just got a new P50 with IPS 1920 x 1080 screen, Samsung 512 SSD nvme and graphs of M100M.

  I noticed that after installation, its only Windows 10 worm 1511 (10586.545) instead of the last 1607 (14393.82), I have the new version works very well on my current W530 so I decieded to update, BIG MISTAKE.

  So basically after the Lenovo logo update appears as usual and then it starts with windows, but there is no display on the laptop, I can see the HARD drive activity and the lights on the keyboard so I know that its still doesn't work. I decided to plug in an external monitor of DP mini and I could see my screen finally but nothing on the LCD screen.

  Everyone knows this? You are looking for assistance.

  Hi all

  I'm new to Lenovo family and have recently bought W530, i7, 1 TB HDand 8 GB of RAM. The machine was delivered, but there is no user guide or no matter what warranty guide. I have completely no idea where to find all the required information. While this subject stated as "first step". Please, guide and let me know what to do next.

  Already installed Windows 7 OS.

  I also have ideas family of dual-boot LINUX OS installation. So please let me know what family of Linux is good because I'm not cmpletely one GUI I want to see some terminals too :-)

  Any Linux distribution works very well on the W520/W530, I use Fedora myself, but I know others

  using Ubuntu/Mint and other institutions. The only problem is that the Optimus double display

  installation of the adapter is not working properly under linux, last I checked. But you can set it just be

  the integrated (Intel HD) or discrete graphics (nVidia) only in the BIOS, that one you need.

• W530 problem of Installation of the Nvidia K1000M driver

  I have a Thinkpad w530 and us reimage our machines with a standard image for us, so I usually have to make these drivers from scratch. On some of these with optimus, I installed the drivers from the Web site but get a standard vga adapter with an exclamation point and are unable to install. also tried the one from nvidia. Any thoughts? Is there other software that I have to install before hand to make this work or a configuration windows can I change? I am using windows 7 64 bit with 24 GB of RAM.

  So, I finally had this resolved after many unsuccessful attempts. Seems that I had to use version 335. xx and the installation itself has failed, I did an update driver for the component and have already told him to use the one in the folder. This eventually settle and work properly. Now I can use my external monitors. Thanks for all the help and suggestions at all.

• Is it possible to get the keyboard overlay alphanumeric numlock in W530?

  Last week, I got my new ThinkPad W530 as a replacement for my W500 which has replaced my R60 which replaced my R51. One of the first things I noticed was the changes to the keyboard. I like the feel of the keys, but I don't like the layout, I think that the previous one has been perfect :/

  Anyway, I'm not here to bash. I give you the new layout a chance, and maybe I'll get used to and do not want to come back in a few months, we'll see. But before I can do, it is something that I absolutely need. I use software that needs a numeric keypad and the new keyboard W530 doesn't seem to have the overlay of the keypad that older models had.

  Is there anyway to get this or simulating his behavior? No matter what, I don't care if it's a combination of hidden Fn who will activate him, a third to simulate software, a fan-made keyboard driver or some fiddling with options of Windows. But of course there MUST be a way, easy or difficult, be they the keyboard works as if she had the number lock and a keypad digital, right? I don't think I'm the only one who need this feature...

• Win 7 or 8 with a new W530?

  I realize that no one can make that decision for me, but I would greatly appreciate feedback from users than me.

  I've been running Win XP on an old Dell these past seven years, and it's time for a new laptop. Am on the Lenovo site now, customize a W530 before buying.

  Win 7 or Win 8? That is the question. Lenovo offers Win 7 free of charge, and I have read and heard that the OS is stable and mature.

  Or should I take the plunge of Nestea and go with Win 8? Outside the intuitive learning curve, are there other reasons for delaying the inevitable?

  I should add that I'm not big on upgrading the operating system during the life of the machine. Everything that comes with this laptop, it's what I'll probably use for the next six or seven years.

  Windows 7 will be an easier transition, so I recommend that. At the time where you should update the W530, Microsoft will have its model OS subscription full swing and at least most of the questions that people currently have with Windows 8 will have been worked.

  Note windows show only 6.6 while my friend has T530 with only the Intel graphics but its rating is 6.7

  Ratings are for the most part useless, because your number is exactly equal to the lowest number on the sides. Discrete switching only simply forces Windows to use only the chip nVidia for ratings purposes. In normal use the machine will run on the built-in processor and then use the chip from nVidia for graphics intensive programs. This gives you the best balance of heat, performance and autonomy.

• Replacement of the joint for W530

  Hi all

  A few months ago, in this forum, I asking me for information about the compatibility of signs for the wince my Panel W530, AUO B156HTN01, is a less powerful Panel. I get the contrast ratio is less than 400: 1 (average 330:1) and color cast I get is too blue. While I have a laugh X i1 Display Pro to correct the pitches with the LUT of the graphics card, I still have problems with the angles of vision (very bad) and a bit of a magenta cast and the low level of contrast as well as the screen door effect which is annoying in white or near white surfaces.

  I'm a photographer and I would approve this computer for work on the field and color delicate work, but the difference between this and my NEC monitor is too big to ignore. So, in the hope that the v4 or v7 will improve things compared to the Panel that gave me, I feel as if I had nothing much to lose.

  So, I investigated a bit trying to get their hands on a v4 B156HW01 panel or a v7 (brilliant with better contrast than v4) and increasingly used those cannibalized from other systems, I was never able to get a good replacement.

  So far. I managed to get an old stock seller through a contact in Asia and will get a v7 v4s being really out of stock everywhere wherever I can find. Those who try to sell you v4s you will likely receive a "compatible" part... but not the same panel.

  I know that brilliant is not everyone and it's certainly not mine, but I have colleagues who work with happiness on their macs very bright and while they dislike screens nice masts, chandelier did not prevent any of them to work. The difference of color in the B156HTN01 permanently prevents me from working so I'll give that a go. Better precision on glossy paper is better that a shit mate.

  I will post differences on a before and after the State of the computer. To make it fair, I'm going to re - install everything (windows and batch) to ensure that any previous color calibration is left on this computer to change the perception of the signs.

• W530 Se crashes even after reformatting

  Hello!
  I have a W530 (i7-3720QM to 2.6, 32 GB of Ram) and after it is about 3 or 4 hours, it starts to slow down, and maybe 15 minutes, it just hangs. I think it might have something to do with the video card, but know not (maybe some corallation to watch the video). I noticed the slow down when videos start to stutter, but prior to that, it is super fast. I can open Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator simultaneously in about 15 seconds. Here is what I tried:

  • Uninstalled creative Suite 2015 (thinking that might be the problem)
  • Uninstalled Chrome, Air
  • A running Virus and Malware scans (Nothing)
  • Check the error log (Nothing)
  • A ran Diagnostics on all (all past. The main drive is a relatively new Samsung 850 SSD, secondary is an SSD of 840 Samsung a little older but still good. Last memory, cpu spent, etc.)
  • Connected and nothing, just leave (still hanging)
  • Formatted and reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows and drivers Lenovo
  • Separate active graphics cards (the onboard intel could have been the cause of thought)

  The only thing out of the ordinary happened at the same time, started the fingerprint reader has stopped working. In the bios, he just said that no fingerprint reader has been found, so I just think, she died and is not related. Machine is under warranty for 5 months, so technically I could send in for service, but of course I'd like to avoid that if possible.

  A ran diags Lenovo memory and found one of the four modules is bad. It is fine if it's the only installed but will not play nice with others. Any place that I use, under the cover on the bottom or the keyboard. STIL under warranty then new module commissioned.
