• Language for the W530 system problem

  I have laptop W530; bought in Germany, but I don't speak German at all.

  You must make sure that WWAN is enabled in the BIOS and install the driver for this card. Here is a link to download the driver for this card, but as you can see it X 300 is not listed as a supported model.

  '43R9153' is adapter WWAN Ericsson. Unless I am mistaken, that it won't work with the X 300. I think you need "43R9152" or "43R9151" (Sierra Wireless MC8775 or Sierra Wireless MC5725) for the X 300. I'm almost certain that the WWAN Ericsson adapter will not work with the X 300.

• [w530] Fingerprint reader problems

  For some reason any my ringerprint player has stopped working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, software, and done pretty much everything I can find online.

  In Device Manager, it is usually, but sometimes doesn't. In Control Panel > biometric devices, it appears less frequently, usually only after I clicked "scan for material changes.

  Someone at - it suggestions? Could this be a hardware problem?

  Hey Chris... I had a similar problem with the reader of fingerprints on my W530 a month ago. He has stopped responding at times. the control on this LED flashing sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't. Drivers and software is up to date.

  W530 ordered on 14/01/2014. I replaced the 500 GB with a SSD hard drive and wanted to use the reader HGST it came with a disc of Nimitz adapter. I can delete the partition and create a new volume, but it fails during format. It fails even when it is formatted a ready to use.

  Lenovo support changed a new 3000 Gobi wwan card. Who was allowed to the bios and cell phone was ok on windows 7. Everything worked much less in Finland. If the Ericsson wwan card won't work in current version of bios. It is not mentioned on the product catalog. Support changed this card free of charge.

  Problems of Windows 8:

  Gobi 3000 drivers are not currently on the Lenovo Web site, but you can find the drivers on another Web site. Drivers, called LenovoGobi3kSetup.exe seem to work ok on Windows 8. You will find the link to the community to these drivers.

  ... but! This works until you rotate the top of the screen of the keyboard. Mobile broadband is disabled, then there is no way to activate this feature. Troubleshoot Windows 8 indicates that the wwan switch is disabled and the tips to activate the switch. But there is no any switches for wwan module! On windows 7 will even work, but you can switch wwan when changing the display rotation. Settinga are as well FN + F5 key. But it will not work on windows 8 similarly. It disables simply all of the shares of wifi.

  Enabling switch wwan solution: simply install vantage think access to windows 7! It will give some errors, but not ignore them. It will finally install and then you can change wwan module again.

  On my laptop, it seems to work ok now. I use vantage think access only to enable the wwan module.

• T420 Clean install Woes (Sierra Wireless wwan 8355 problems) and logon print

  After a clean install of win 7 ult x 64 a T420 and install all the drivers, I have the following questions:

  Sierra wireless driver install gives me a connection that is hard-coded to "Verizon wireless" in the configuration list automatic wwan. in network connections, can't seem to delete this. I'm using at & t and another supplier in europe. WWAN autoconfig do not at all see these sims.

  Fingerprint reader works almost well. T420 starts from sleep while sliding my finger but does not connect me past the interface msgina.

• W530 problem of Installation of the Nvidia K1000M driver

  I have a Thinkpad w530 and us reimage our machines with a standard image for us, so I usually have to make these drivers from scratch. On some of these with optimus, I installed the drivers from the Web site but get a standard vga adapter with an exclamation point and are unable to install. also tried the one from nvidia. Any thoughts? Is there other software that I have to install before hand to make this work or a configuration windows can I change? I am using windows 7 64 bit with 24 GB of RAM.

  So, I finally had this resolved after many unsuccessful attempts. Seems that I had to use version 335. xx and the installation itself has failed, I did an update driver for the component and have already told him to use the one in the folder. This eventually settle and work properly. Now I can use my external monitors. Thanks for all the help and suggestions at all.
