• Best material for editing?

  I want to upgrade my computer to edit it. I have an iMac 2011: 2,5 GHz, memory 4 GB, AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB. I plan to buy another iMac. with a budget of $2500, what would you recommend for best performance for editing? I would emphasise quality video card, memory RAM, or disk (4 cores, 7 carrots, fusion, etc...)?

  Download video card with MOST of the vRAM.  That means generally that you will also get the quad core i7 with Turbo Boost technology (acts like one 8 cores when you need it - and presents itself as 8 cores with MenuMeters.) The 2013 iMac had a 'backdoor' easily add RAM, and if this is always the case - buy an extra set of 16G of Crucial or some other 3rd party and add it yourself - you will make savings (if I remember) about $200.  If I had to start everything, I would have also obtained the reader of the merger, but the internal (regular) hard drive in the iMac Gets a pretty decent read/write speed (about 130 MB/s) but not what you really want with video editing. The proposed internal SSD is fairly low, so, I generally recommend external SSD drives and their construction schedules. USB3 is fast. Love at first sight would be better, but it's still expensive. An SSD in USB3 is quite impressive (I get about 300-400 MB/s R/W for one and 370-435 on the other). You can get a USB3 box for $10-$40 (Amazon has a housing Kdlinks now, limited time, for only $9.95!) and you can find a 500 GB SSD for under $ 200 these days. I bought Crucial SSD (I have a little bit o 'too o' Scottish blood in me), but what I've read, the Samsung EVOs are among the fastest (~500MB/s).

  -VRAM so Max it is possible! (- what it takes to get this top of the line card... graphics you have it.) - and lotsa RAM (you can buy 8 with mac + 16 crucial for 24 which will give respectable service) - fast external drives are a nice addition.

  In iPhoto, you could choose 3 third-party programs such as Photoshop Elements for editing.  The first Photos do not allow that.  Can you now choose Photoshop Elements for image editing in Photos?

  No, you can use more applications as external editors are.  Which now works are extensions of photo editing app.  If an application provides an extension of photo editing, you can call it the control panel of the Photo, for instance affinity Photos provides extensions of app, but not (yet) PhotoShop Elements.

  

• "It's better to pen for edit of .lvproj rather than ClearCase

  I was told that it is better to open a file for editing .lvproj to source control or directory. Reason being it would help to ensure that LabView might experience changes that affect the other screws and also be better able to deal with the changes of names or relocations.

  So if I open a VI from the project folder, and then double-click a sub - VI it contains, the Subvi shall enjoy the same protection, or should it also be opened from the project file?

  Hi jvh,.

  I imagine that the Subvi is the same instance within the calling VI being covered by the project, then it should produce the same result because the NCC affects the whole of the hierarchy within the project.  I found a few resources in the community OR (here) and with the help of LabVIEW 2009 (Source code for projects LabVIEW Control Configuration) which should be a great starting point for greater precision of the NCC with LabVIEW.

• 'File name' is locked for editing by 'Client', why not show the correct user account

  A .xls file created by MS Excel 2003 and saved on the server files (Windows Server 2008 R2 without Service Pack).

  We have two users: A and c. accounts of A and C join same above file server's domain. A approval of the admin on the server, C is a common user. The version of MS Excel on the pc is 2010, although it is 2003 for C.

  C tries to open a file on the server and it has the change permission on the file and the file, however, the file is locked for editing by 'administrator '. For the moment, no one opens this file, so which is 'Administrator'?

  More tests:

  (1) once A open file C is reached, there is message: file is locked for editing by 'Client', so why shows 'Client' instead of a correct domain account?

  (2) after C opens the file and then A is reached, there is message: file is locked for a domain C user account. So it seems OK.

  When an attentive user a file that is already used by another user, the message "file in use, is locked for editing you want...". "this isn't a problem, the problem is that the name appearing on" locked for editing by:... "" "is incorrect.

  Anyone have an idea on what could be the reason?

  Hello! I just converted a Word document to a PDF using Novapdf. However, when I try to open the original pdf a pop-up shows saying that my pdf now converted a Word document to change. I don't want to convert my doc' for editing, because I already edited in Word. More than that, I noticed when a pdf file is converted to an editable Word doc ' doc of all ' will distort puff, it's in every way. I want to just OPEN THE DOC ORIGINAL"WITHOUT GETTING THE pop-up.

• How can I stop lightroom to change my images when I preview them for editing?

  I am so annoyed, it was a series of questions for months now surrounding the program itself and my ridiculous HP computer, and once I've stumbled into a magical Portal online adobe which I linked to a number of technician of customer service where a real human being has helped me further questions and for the life of me I cannot recreate this search or find a number. * tear out hair *.

  I'm still fairly new to this program. I use gimp for the past five years. When I installed the first lightroom in August on an older laptop, I had no problem editing. Things given to me in the program has not changed when I clicked it, I could edit and they could export looking for the same thing, as I did in other programs once downloaded online at different locations. Now, however, since the switch to a new computer, I had to wipe and send it to repair several times, it keeps changing things. I thought maybe it was this real computer, the do, but every time I install the program on the computers of my parents the same problems occur.

  I can see my pictures when I'm their import. They look like they did when I took them. I can click on develop and have the small roll of scrolling of my images down beneath the modules. BUT every time I select one and it brings up the images for editing there is a fraction of a second where it looks like I did when I turned, so he made this small thinky-change and some how automatically edited a bit for some reason that seems to reset the basic colours, exposure and tonality of images does what it assumes a clarification or something. For the life of me I can't understand why this is happening. DO STAAAAAAHHHHP!

  Second question: whenever I have change a picture it is fantastic, as I want it to look, how I saw it in my mind. Export the image.   You have a defective monitor profile. All the colors of the managed applications, which includes Lightroom and Windows Photo Viewer, must always show absolutely identical. If they are not, there is a problem with the display, usually the display profile color management chain. This can often affect different applications differently (for several reasons).

  In your first screenshot, Windows Photo Viewer version looks distinctly unhealthy, with colored bands, which indicates clipping of bass channel. This is a typical symptom of a bad display profile.

  Recalibrate, or if you do not have a calibrator, use sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 for now (until you get a). Go to control panel > color management > devices:

  No, you pushed PES 11 up to the limit. You could move on to PSE 13, or you can download the free adobe dng converter and use it to make the DNG files that your version of ACR can understand.

• I can't click on a layer for editing mask. CS6 OS10.10

  I worked on a file, and all of a sudden I can't click on a layer mask to be able to modify this mask. I'm still able to do the following:

  • Create a new adjustment layer. When I do cela a new mask is trained for this layer and automatically selected for editing. I can modify this mask. As soon as I click out of it that I can't come back.
  • I am able to shift + click and command-click on the layer masks and get these options/selections.
  • I can't drag a mask existing to a new adjustment layer.
  • Hide/show the mask collection
  • Almost everything, but click ON the mask and selected for editing.

  I tried the following:

  • Close and reopen the file.
  • Restart photoshop.
  • Restarting my computer.
  • Delete/recreate the preference files.

  Any ideas out there?

  I discovered my problem trying to paint on everything I was selected on. He forecast the mask overlay. I thought about it and realized that I must have hit the key 'Q' and put me in quick mask mode.
