  Alright got it is solved the hard way. had tried the front steos of hand, but I had no protection against the virus. installed avg to find some of the files infected with a virus during good behaviour. Basically he pressed the action prevention programs install finilize. but nothing a reboot could not heal. Lightroom is now active elements 8 works fine now to put in place and get adobe more programs. Thanks for the responses and assistance.

"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working" error - I followed different bits of support instructions - uninstall - reinstall - signature and return - downloaded and committed "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool" - now, a few hours later, the problem has not been resolved - I need to go back to my project.   Sir, I just uninstalled the program and installed it again and my version of lightroom just changed to 2015.5.1 but others still facing this problem and I personally think that this is not a good way to solve this problem, nobody don't want to redownload the entire program for this.   I just reset my pc following the failure of Windows 10. I reinstalled all my programs downloaded, including Lightroom.

  When I try to open Lightroom, the following message shows on the screen;

  Lightroom makes a call the the AGkernel.dll file, but the file isn't sure what to do because it can't find the line of code within himself to answer. This can happen for several reasons, that fall within these two broad categories: AGkernel.dll is damaged and must be repaired or AGKernel.dll version is incorrect and should be updated to the correct version.

  Here are some things you can do to fix the file:

  -Record again with Windows AGKernel.dll: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/249873

  -Windows repair: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833

  -Install all the updates that are available for Windows: Windows Installer updates

  -Uninstall and reinstall Lightroom

  In the last two weeks, I installed Lightroom (current version: 5.7.1) on a new All-In-One(Model No. 27-p014) HP Envy 2734 with Windows 10.

  It worked fine until today, when all of a sudden, when I tried to import a recent work, I got the above message. After several tests (and failures), I thought using the system restore and reset the unit to the settings of this morning, thinking the problem might be related to an update from HP that I had downloaded all that little before import (improved performance .NET Application - CPS).
