  • wlsettings.exe complains that UXCore.dll is missing, but it is located in Program Files/Windows Live/Shared

After the installation of Windows Live Essentials, I get now a Wlsetting.exe has stopped working.  Sometimes I get an error message wlsettings.exe can not find UXCore.dll.

I looked in C:/Program Files/Windows Live/Shared and UXCore.dll.  I also looked in the registry and it seems that the registry database seeks also to C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall but no change.
I am currently running Windows Vista.  I've read a lot about this anomaly and there seems to be a lot of people who have constantly pending problems.  I had hoped that Microsoft would have figured this out now.

  • Since I installed Windows Live Beta, I get various error messages, they are: 1) Wlsstarup.exe 'GetHeigh@CRImage@@BEHXZ' and Uxcore.dll. How to solve this problem?

Since I installed Windows Live beta to run hotmail & messenger sometime in August, I get various error messages. They are:

    (1) Wlsstartup.exe GetHeight@CRImage@BEHXZ not found.

    (2) Uxcore.dll.  not found

This causes me problems with Facebook games.

    How can I fix?

Windows updates send me "service pack 1", that does not solve the problem.

Since Firefox works my better games on Facebook, I installed.  She needed Windows Presentation Foundation, which has been

taken out of SERVICE.  I turned it back on.  But, I think that the Windows Live Beta still causes me to be unable to do the things in games, I have to do to play/win them.

    Please help, thanks.

but of course you should re-post with the material.

In the meantime, try this: in Windows Explorer (Windows key + E) navigate to %programfiles%\Windows Live. Once there, conducting a search for uxcore.dll. There may be several copies in different folders. Because you are using a different operating system to me, I can't be specific, but you should have only one copy, with version 15.4.3502.0922 No. in the Windows Live\Shared folder. Rename all others - for example in the file install - uxcore.old, reboot and test.

  • fxscfqwz.dll download - file missing

MS offers a download of this file?

After a system crash, I rebooted my system, and my HP Officejet 6500 says he needs this file but can't find it: fxscfgwz.dll
Is there a SAFE place to download this file without some malware or other annoying program loaded on my system?
I can't find it on the computer or the recovery disks, when well even the MS site says it should be on the folder % path%\i386, and I found about 8 these records as C:\WINDOWS\DriverCache\i386 file but cannot find the file.

There are a thousand sites that offer you allow to download, but the last time I did it, I had a program that once came EVERY DAY to ask me to a registry cleaning program, and I could never get rid of this recall.  As I rebooted my system just I don't think I need a software to register.  I just want to know a SAFE site that won't screw up my computer.

It is never a good idea to download DLLs from an unknown source online.

How do "recharge you" your system?

This file is normally located in C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\system32\dllcache, but because it is part of Windows XP Fax Services, which is not installed by default.  So, if by "reload", you mean you did a clean reinstall of Windows, it's why you do not.

You have a C:\i386 directory?  If so, look for fxscfgwz.dl_

This is the file in compressed format.  You must use the expand command in a command prompt window to remove it, so:

    expand C:\i386\fxscfgwz.dl_ c:\windows\system32\fxscfgwz.dll

    The copy in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

If you do not have C:\i386, you can download it from my SkyDrive (that's for sure).  Another file that is often lacking, when you try to install the Fax Services is fxsapi.dll, so I uploaded that as well.

    Hi Nathalie criss.

    1. what browser do you use?

You can try to temporarily disable antivirus software (and any other security such as anti-malware software, etc.) and firewall on the computer and try redownloading software.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall after the test programs.
