WAG320N TeleManagement.

Hello, I recently bought WAG320N.

I installed and configure successfully. Evrything works fine (port forwarding, dyndns etc..)

I also enabled remote management on port 8080.

When I try to access the router configuration page via the internet with Firefox I get ' application/octet-stream' save file

and when I try to open it with IE I get "" and a blank page.

I would be grateful advocacy suggestions to solve this issue.

The correct syntax, with the Firmware 1.00.12 is:

HTTPS / / IP - WAN: 8080

Please note HTTPS: not HTTP:

For me working, tested several times and works very well.

Sorry for my English.

Cheers to the Italy.

  • WAG320N

Oh dear... what a disastrous start

Firstly, installation and firmware seem to be corrupted.  Resettlement on the site Web has not helped.  I say this for several reasons:

    (1) no way to change the routers IP, no way to change the time zone, in fact, no way to change the settings.  All seem to accept, reloads the same page and done... NOTHING

    (2) no way to pass wireless turned off... in fact it seems that some of these wireless options menu options are missing.  Great stuff.

Actually by and large, no way to configure the gateway at all.  For example,... can Cisco we get a new firmware?  Perhaps a gateway which is in fact out of the test products and works?

I am very annoyed because I just took a wag160n, which was chronic to say the least, for this model later... What does'nt seem to even work at all... At least despite declining regularly the internet and the wireless, the 160n actually you are allowed to configure it.

    Help?

    Fixed.

It seems that unlike the WAG160N I got, it will not set up through anything other than Internet Explorer.  I have no idea of what is different, but something is.  In any case, Internet explore 8 installed and the gateway configured by OK and everything is right with the world again.

No Wi - Fi dropouts don't like with the 160N

No Internet goes as with the 160N

Program installation CD has had little love and it doesn't take an age to load upwards and the config of the gateway to the first use.

Streaming movies HD 1080 p for PS3 is also impeccable Wireless N 280Mbit with 1Gig port connected to the PS3.

Overall, now I realize that I have to use IE instead of chrome or Firefox is the product I've been waiting for.

The WAG320N after works OK is a great replacement for the flawed WAG160N.  The WAG160N but I would avoid like the plague and save up the extra for this one.

  • WAG320N - LAN clients cannot ping clients WLAN.

    Hi all

I wonder if you can help. I currently have a router WAG320N, which seems to work out for a small problem.

However, the problem I am facing is that my LAN clients cannot ping my clients wireless and vice versa.

I googled this problem which has recommended that the AP isolation is off which is was by default.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanking in advance.

    Sprite

As you are not able to ping customers wireless to wireline customers. Turn on the isolation of the AP.

    See if that helps you.

I had D-Link 2540U before, there is no problem - I made an another PPPoE via the button 'Add', like this:

  • WAG320N wireless problems

I am having major problems with my Linksys WAG320N. Hoping someone here can help as I am quite clueless when it comes to networking.

Without changing the settings, the other day that my Macbook Pro could not connect and he kept saying 'timeout '. From that point my iPhone also refused to sign, although access to the internet on my MBP viaethernet was fine.

I did a hard reset according to the instructions of this forum, and then re-configured with the installation CD. The router wireless light was turned on but my MBP did not see the network. Finally, I managed to connect after I restarted my laptop and enjoyed every 10 minutes without internet connectivity before wireless problem network come fall and now does not appear in my list of networks once again, even if the wireless light is still on.

Ethernet connection still works, but not via the wireless.

I restarted my laptop and the router and tried switching channels on the router, all to nothing done. Very confused and frustrated!

Someone at - it suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have this problem with a DGN2000, which is what the Linksys/Cisco WAG320N replaced.

  • WAG320N very bad 5 GHz wireless signal.

    Hi all

Because I live in an apartment building, I decided to buy a proper router on 5 GHz. I see each of them and at least 12 wireless networks 2.4 GHz (mainly BT HomeHubs or other boxes UK ISP wireless). I am studying the CCNA and our teachers recommend cisco routers (linksys) as the best. I bought a WAG320N as one that suits that I could find on the British market for a reasonable price. The problem is that I have less signal on 5 GHz on 2.4 GHz I have 50% maximum of the 5 GHz signal and speed is usually lower than 802.11 g, average below 64Mbps! I can't believe. When I change 2.4 GHz signal has up to 80% as my old router TP-Link. The speed is more often up to 65Mbps, means awful. I have seen a lot of topics on this particular router but I couldn't believe that to sell Cisco products these awful and unreliable as this router. I tried to change channels on 5 and 2.4 GHz but it's always the same, the wrong speed and weak signal. My wireless card is Intel WifiLink Advanced-n 6200 and Sabayon linux and Windows 7 operating systems. I have a laptop and it is CCA 6 meters between the router and there are 2 walls. The router is still under warranty so I will not hesitate to return to PCWorld...

    Thanks for your help.

I solved it. I moved the router more near my room. There is only one door of the room between the router and my laptop. Signal has cca 90% and the speed is especially 270 or 300 Mbps.

  • WAG320N FTP server not accessible from the internet.

I had a problem with my WAG320N for quite awhile.

I add a hard drive 1, 5 TB usb port and I can access to the LAN.

Now I want to take a step further and be able to access it from the outside.

I enabled the FTP server and Internet access.

I was play within the parameters of safety etc. but with no luck

Why you changed the ip address of the router to 192.168.1.2. ?

Try to update firmware of the router. After upgrading the firmware, reset the router and re - configure from scratch. Now, simply activate the FTP server on the router and check.

  • WAG320N - today's date and time on the router

    Hello

I put restrictions on access to the xbox of my son on my WAG320N. I set the time zone time to GMT and active summer time, but I can't find a screen to actually tell me what the date & time is on the router itself. I had a problem with a previous router where the date & time were automatically to be deregulated and thus access of xbox of my son was off during the wrong time.

Does anyone know of a hidden screen where it shows the date & time on the router?

    Thank you

Under the current status tab shows the... The time, based on the time zone selected on the Basic Setup screen, is displayed.

  • Unable to connect to the internet WAG320n

Hi all, hope you can help me.

I just bought a WAG320n to replace my craptacular my modem zyxel router.

But now, I have not found, which does not work because of what is called encapsulation is not the right option.

I need an option called "ENET ENCAP" which means Ethernet Encapsulation. Is it possible to get this option or is my new useless modemrouter?

    Thank you

Your screenshot, I guess that your connection is only authenticated through the phone line the modem is connected to [no user name & the password or the specific IP].

"' I would try the" RFC 2684 bridge ' with the standard "Obtain automatically an IP address" because it is closest to your current Setup [original].

  • WAG320N Feature Request

    Hey guys.

Hoping that someone from Linksys will read this here are my few cents on the WAG320N.

Before I had this nice router-Modem-Combo I used a WRT54GS (with Thibor15c + a crappy TG585v7 from my provider). Honestly, I don't know really why Linksys invest in why and what people like [as in use] in custom firmwares. The WAG has pretty much the same defects that the WRT had [without custom firmware].

    (1) static DHCP (or a DHCP reservation)

Set a static IP address via the operating system can be adapted to the servers or desktop computers. But what about the rest? Computers, laptops/Notebooks, Netbooks, smart phones - / Mobile and mid is likely to be used also in other networks. I don't want to - correction - no one wants to change the IP settings all the time [e.g. for Port-Forwarding work].

    (2) #- and Portrange-Port forwarding

Funny that he called "Applications and games". Almost all the new games out there needs like 1 portranges single port and 2 passed [although outside connections should work out-of-the-box]. With a maximum of 10 beaches is a pretty tough call. It would also help single ports can be defined BOTH [not only UDP or TCP]

This is a Community Forum. You must call the Linksys support and let them know your feature requests.

  • WAG320N - 5 GHz

After using WAG320N for more than a week, that I decided to change default 2.4 GHz to 5.

Immediately, my netbook loses connection and can't see same SSID.

    No idea why?

802.11n does not strip a card can be used. 802.11n can be used on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Some devices take care that only one band, a few times. It is not required to 802.11n to support both bands. Usually, if the card supports only a single band, this is the 2.4 GHz since it is most commonly used for backward compatibility.

Check the specifications of your wireless card: if it says its compatible to 802.11n/a/b/g, then it should support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. If it says that it is compatible to 802.11n/b/g it does not support the 5 GHz band.

  • WAG320N does support several PVC (for IP TV)?

I can't find how to make PVC second WAG320N for IP TV. It looks like the unbearable feature

May be the next firmware will it include?

    Or better to change device?

What is meant by Linksys with ADSL support IP TV?

Just spoke with the guy from Linksys. WAG320N really does not support IPTV. And more Linksys not all router ADSL with IPTV (line new WAG). In my opinion, it is not good for brend like Cisco. I was belived in Cisco. But now, I'm very angry. Before buying I cannot find any information on IPTV on Linksys website. Announced just as «...» Ideal for applications focused on media like streaming video, games and voice over IP telephony... ». Now... I'm not sure it's true... And maybe another stanza on Linksys web is just a myth.
