Wallpaper of error

I have a 32 bit OS with Windows Vista home premium gateway.  I have all the equipment and original software.  I am able to put my wallpaper with personal photos.  However, when I try to apply a wallpaper on the internet like a Peyton Manning wallpaper I get a message "unspecified error".  I'm almost certain it could be a setting in the firewall/internet option.  I don't know what to do to correct the situation.   I messed around with the firewall settings in the past and I think I have accidentally made an erroroneous framework.  Thanks for your time.

What's the error message - 'unknown error '?  no error codes, nothing?

You can save the image to your hard drive, then right-click on that image (photo) and set as wallpaper

After a power cut my desktop wallpaper disappeared leaving behind just a color screen. I also noticed that some icons have only the empty space above the title, rather than the image of the icon, as it used to be. Also, when I try to restart my computer it turns off, but do not return. Seems like several unrelated problems, but maybe there's a common problem?

I tried to do a restore of system a few days ago, no chance at fixing one of these.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

The error message "this image cannot be set as a wallpaper - internal error occurred" blocks all my photos. How can I find and fix this error?

Hello! :) have you tried clicking on start and then images? When you find the picture you want to use as your desktop background, click it, and then, when it is opened, right-click on it, and click "set as wallpaper. I hope this helps! :)

I don't know how you would fix the error if. Maybe it was the wrong file format. You can change it by right-clicking on the image and roll on click 'Open with' paint, and once it opens, click on file, save as and change the file format. :)

  • When I try to change my lock screen wallpaper I get error saying "setting of the lock screen has failed. Please try again ".

    Original title: locking error screen

Hello. I use Win 8 Pro x 64 and I'm having a problem affecting the lock screen wallpaper. I am the admin of the machine and Windows is activated.

After a few days ago, Windows stopped to change my lock screen background. When I try to change it, the error is displayed on the screen:

    LOCK SCREEN ERROR

Setting the lock screen has failed. Please try again.
However, I can still change my profile picture and the bottom of the start menu.
Other users of the computer can change the lock screen normally. My user account is linked to my Outlook.com account as well as others.
I already tried the other 'solutions' out there: in doing a selective startup with msconfig, disable services applications at startup and also manually delete the folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData". Needless.
I also have the feeling of other users on the web: it's somehow connected to some Windows updated published these days.
I would appreciate any help on this matter.

Hi, Tadasha. Thanks for the reply.

In regards to KB 2770917 updates, I already installed it on my Win 8 as well as others (I keep the OS always up to date). So it has not really helped but thanks.
On the tip of the gob0nkers is not really the case here, because I don't want to set a wallpaper of single lock for each user (in fact I had already read his answer to the question of ch). So far I have found no article on the web by offering an effective way to work around the problem.
What I've done: created another user profile and abandoned the old (who introduced the problem). I think that it is related to the file the user AppData or something.
So far things are working well with the new profile of the user.

  • Error 2 Configurator - matching is prohibited by a policy on the device

All the world run into this error in the 2 Configurator?

An unexpected error has occurred with these X iPads.

    The pairing is prohibited by a policy on the device. [com.apple.configurator.MobileDeviceKit.amd.error - 0xFFFFFFFFE800009A (-402653030) [sys = 0x3A, sup = 0 x 0, code = 0x9A (154)]]

I've been struggling with 2 configurator and 20 new iPad from my library 2 s Air for a few days. I thought that I had my workflow figured out when I started getting this error when the application of an action plan (1) wipes) iPad 2) add applications via VPP and restorations 3) restores my backup 'master '. (I have a second plan to apply after the first which prepares, renames, sets the wallpaper and add profiles).

When I check device information in AC2, after the process of the action plan was completed, it does not show that all profiles are installed which would affect the matching. If I'm just trying to 'Prepare' the device (not via a plan) to reset the Organization info and allow matching, I get the same error.

I even tried Actions > advanced > delete content and settings before applying my plan.

I use a brand new MacBook Pro El Capitan 10.11.1 running, and iPads have updated to iOS 9.2. IPads have only ever been connected to this machine. In the previous test runs I had refused pairing with other devices, not thinking that never, they need to pair with my MacBook, but now a full erase doesn't seem to remove this setting!

  • Why my computer keep close and sends error messages

My computer has been spoiling for about 2 weeks now and Im completely at a loss on how to solve this problem. I have a Dell 2400 desk top with Windows XP. First of all, Google Chrome crashed, then Windows.  He told me in an error report to try to uninstall all the new drivers... I had installed Silverlight a week before this happened, so I uninstalled, ran CHKDSK, I ran a defrag, I deleted all temporary internet files I could and restarted the computer, when I was... It did not really help.  The computer would minutes before stopping again, and saying a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer, other times she would run longer and just restart on its on.  I get an error box saying sometimes the error report is damaged.  Sometimes when I start the computer, I get a screen that says that Windows has not loaded correctly, so I have to use the last known working config... sometimes I get a blue screen telling me to turn off any anti-virus, Defrag disk or backup utilities, to check the hard drive configuration, drivers updated and run chkdsk/f... I do everything told me and he still messed up, over and over.  I tried the system restore, it didn't work, he said something to have to rename the files in cache, but on the computer problems were still there.  I even cleaned the motherboard... it was dusty, to see if maybe it was turning off cause it was heat, but that didn't really make a difference either.  It will run for hours sometimes, and others, it restarts or gives me every few minutes as the blue screen.  I ran all the tune up utilities, I could, were things corrected, my system is supposed to be fully optimized, but I always get errors.  I found a lot of drivers on my comp, but as I don't really know what I need and that you don't need, I left those alone.  I told him to check the memory and BIOS to disable the layout cache/shading, to use windows update to search for updated drivers and the only thing that comes up all the time is when I click on the box of purple error that appears when I turn on the computer, I check for details, and he said the same two things all the time , and, again, I don't know what they mean:

    C:\DOCUME~1\Krissy~1\Locals~1\Temp\wer151.dir00\mini02061-12dmp AND
    C:\DOCUME~1\Krissy~1\Locals~1\Temp\wer151.dir00\sysdata. XML
Hope, I have not anyone confuses too bad cause I really really need help to fix this mess.

    Hi John,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, there are random shutdown problems.

This can happen due to some software conflicts or changes in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System)

Method 1: Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

Advanced Troubleshooting for shutdown problems in Windows XP

Note: follow step 4 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

Note: Make a backup of all your data to an external device as performing on-site upgrade may cause loss of data.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

Method 2: perform the steps from the link below and check.

After the Windows Logo appears or after you log in to Windows, a Windows XP computer cannot display the wallpaper, a black screen or a blue screen

Meet us if you encounter any problems with the computer stop, or any other issue of Windows, and we would be happy to help you.

    Good day!

  • Software Distribution Service 3.0. my wallpaper, all my documents, my videos, my photos, my desktop shortcuts, etc. all gone. has had to do a system restore. How can I avoid this in the future?

XP Professional 5.1.2600 Pack 3. Automatic updates are on. After that an automatic update on Mei and June 2012 identified as Software Distribution Service 3.0 my wallpaper, all my documents, my videos, my photos, my desktop shortcuts, etc. all gone. has had to do a system restore. How can I avoid this in the future?

Software distribution service 3.0 is a system restore point, not an update.

When an update is installed a SDS is created.

To check the name of the update, go to the Microsoft Update Web site and check your update history, search for the date, that the error occurred.

Also make sure that your system is clean:

Download, install, update and scan with these full free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/

    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx Security Scanner

I guess 'Mei' is your abbreviation of Microsoft Security Essentials under your antivirus protection, is this correct?
