Wallpaper of Windows - low quality!

Recently, I just created a new desktop background, nice and simple using Photoshop. I used a gradient on the background (Radial). When I saw in the photo gallery, she was amazing. However, when installing like wallpaper, I saw waves little change of color. The resolution of the image that I created 1920 x 1080, and is therefore both the resolution of my monitor. Here's how it looked like before:

Here's what it looks like when I try to put as wallpaper:

You can really see the difference only when you view full-screen mode. I put the red dotted lines where the model occurred where there were lines kind of circulars. Could someone help me? GREATLY APPRECIATED!

  • Why are some of my low quality/pixelated and high quality desktop icons in other places

Hi, some of my icons on the desktop from my laptop (for example google chrome) are all grainy and low quality; However, in places like the taskbar and startmenu, they are fine.  My connection icon is also very low quality if it gives advice to the cause.  I have the same exact programs installed on my desktop (on windows 7) and I did not have this problem.  Any ideas as to what is happening?  Here is an image that can make it more clear about what I'm asking:

Right-click on an empty area of the desktop, choose View > small icons.

This only happens with icons that were not designed to be scale-able.  They are extended only slightly, causing artifacts as we see.  Microsoft has released the guidelines for the creation of an icon in their 'Style Guide of the user experience' a few years ago, but some software manufacturers understand that the sizes of icons "legacy", including max 32 x 32 I think.

  • Export from Adobe Premiere CS4 - out of low quality/pixelated WMV

Export WMV (Windows Media Video) from Adobe Premiere CS4 (via Adobe Media Encoder CS4) gives a very low quality/pixelated output (especially when there is text in the video). I use the following settings:

    Video Codec: Windows Media 9
    Pass encoding: 2
    Bitrate Mode: Variable unconstrained

    Width of the frame: 1024
    Frame height: 576

    (* Same as source)

Format of the pixels: Square pixels (1.0)

    Decoder complexity: Auto
    Keyframe interval: 5
Average of Bitrate of the video: 5000

I used the EXACT same settings in Adobe Premiere CS3 and the quality is absolutely perfect. (See the comparison example attached)

Any ideas what may be the problem?

    Thank you

  • Low quality google images

Why water Google images display low quality picture zoomed in Firefox?

Probably, your mobile service provider replaces the original images with those small to save bandwidth. It is a common practice for mobile service providers. Then you would be better to talk to your provider, what can be done. Perhaps they offer other APNs.

  • Error "Windows-low on registry space."

    32-bit XP Pro

For several weeks now, whenever I boot this computer, when I get to the
Office, I get a box 'Windows-low on registry space' which says: the system has
has reached the maximum size allowed for the part of the registry system.
Additional storage requests will be ignored"I check Regedit under mount points
and there is only 4 letters to drive it. Any idea what's going on with that?

Although this article claims do not apply to XP, the error message described that it corresponds to the error you describe.  The solution is perhaps the same thing:

"Machine to Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2003 still honor the limit of size of registry (RSL) feature if the RegistrySizeLimit registry key has the value"

Your error message is the last described.

If that doesn't help, you could try squeezing out the soft space in your registry.  When the registry keys are deleted, the space is kept in the register and new entries are always added at the end.  There is a freeware program "NTREGOPT" who shake free space of your registry, hope that making it small enough, do not trigger your warning messages.  Note that this is not a "Registry cleanup" tool because it does not alter any entry already active in your registry.  A good precaution would be to use C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT (same site) to back up your registry before compaction.

  • Impossible to change the wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter.

original title: Windows 7 Starter wallpaper!

Seriously one you can't change the wallpaper on Windows 7 starter. Of course, that I understand that this version of Windows is expected to be very light on has to run smoothly on netbooks... but F---ing screen? Microsoft remembers that they always write operating systems right? My dinosaur, Nokia cell phone from 5 years ago allow you to change the wallpapers.  They left the gadget feature but no background screen! This really proves to me that Microsoft has absolutely no idea of what they do.  Windows 7 comes on just about all netbook now from this current holiday season.  So here's my question... Why would anyone want a netbook windows 7 when XP (earlier than prior windows operating system 7) had more features it does? Apple is looking for better and better. I don't even have a netbook for Christmas, and even though I really wanted one, I'm very happy that I don't have. I'm not going to get one at all now if its windows 7 on it.  I'll wait for the Apple tablet, and that's all.  What do you mean Microsoft?

    Hello socratesman,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

In Windows 7 Starter, you are not allowed to change the wallpaper. You can't even replace the image by default by another because the system compares the hash of file of your background desired with the hash of the file of the default wallpaper.

You need to upgrade to a more full version of Windows 7:

My Acer laptop has windows 7 starter edition. A few days ago, I met a problem of the missing desktop wallpaper and become black. I tried to solve this back, but I can't. I can't change wallpaper?

The above discussion has a lot of messages, but READ THEM ALL before attempting to change your wallpaper... those who have tried to change the paper painted made them unusable PC... Be careful.

You can also try searching for additional references.

Microsoft has not provided a way to change the wallpaper, but the references above each show a way to do it. I have not validated/tried the methods described in the links above.

Don't forget to back up all critical files (and make a restore point) before making changes to your system.

  • Impossible to change the wallpaper of windows 8.

Change the title of the thread: wallpaper of windows 8

I just installed windows 8 cant seam to change the background color from black to something easy to see

I found a way around the problem.  Open the run (start + R key) and open the local Group Policy Editor, gpedit.msc

Under the User Configuration: go to administrative templates, office and then click the desktop folder.  Open and allow the enable Active Desktop.  Then, open the desktop wallpaper and allow as well.  After you activate the wallpaper desktop, in the Options box, type the path to the image that you want as the background.  Apply and restart the computer.  After the reboot, I went back to customize and just click on the wallpaper you saved (it should appear) and then it should appear.

    Good luck.

PS, I have improved three computers (2 desktop computers, 1 laptop) to Windows 8 Pro and only had this problem on a desktop computer.

    Hi all

This afternoon, I bought and downloaded a file HAVE (file number 104048928), which turned out to be filled with a bitmap pixelish of low quality that cannot be changed in any way. Does anyone know how such a bizarre thing can happen, and what should I do now? It's really one of the strangest things that ever happened to me...

I can't edit the title either, it seems to be part of the colorful picture. I'm going to make the picture of our content manager, and I gave you a license for the image credit. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • How to get previews of lower quality when working with Full-HD?

I work with Full-HD video, but I don't have to preview the files (rendering) to be too the 1920 x 1080. It takes a lot of disk space and a lot of time to make the preview files.

Is it possible to ensure a lower quality? For example, resolution 720 x 405 would be sufficient.

But when I want to make a permanent export, I need to get the Full HD video.

    Thank you!

Use a custom sequence and change previews as you wish.

  • Made final video is low quality and too bright

The final copy is lower quality and way too bright. Noticibly too bright. Own obscurities turn into rough gray, and the quality is noticibly smaller as well. I checked the "use maximum render quality" and I tried to exportiing in AVI and MP4, and nothing is set. Any ideas?

First, what type of file do you need?  If you are looking for the lossless quality then I suggest to export a file with Animation codec quicktime or some other lossless codec.  However, these types of files are huge and that they could not read on your desktop.  But if you go just to put this video on the internet, when you're finished with it then I would suggest starting with one of the Youtube or Vimeo H.264 presets and modify it to match your clip.  It is still not as good as the original, but you can't expect miracles when you work in SD and in exporting to H.264 format, which is a codec very first.  If you want to try to export Quicktime or AVI without loss, and then change the settings so that they get something like this:
