    Hello

Please give me recommendation or choice, compatible (vga) graphics card for HP Pavilion Slimline 400 - 020l available on the market.

    Hello

You need an active UEFI, low profile graphics card low power with support of full size.  Sometimes graphics cards are supplied with two brackets.  Your PC has only a 270-Watt power supply, so your pickins will be limited.

I saw a few cards that could work but all graphics cards manufacturer recommend a greater power.

A higher power Slimline power of Athena could work in your PC.

You can use GPU - Z to determine performance (band memory bandwidth) as a starting point for when you are looking for a graphics card.

Hi Skanter - just saw this message-hope it comes in time

I had this problem with mine - it was also to achieve 90degC. It is caused by a really poorly designed cooling system - the fins of the radiator are locked behind a metal shield and the fan blows into it.

What you need to do is: -.

    (1) turn off and unplug everything from the PC

    (2) open the side panel and disconnect the audio cables and power of GPU

    (3) remove the mobo

    (4) with the help of a tiny posidrive screwdriver, unscrew the thin metal cover of heat sink

    (5) use a brush to remove all the dirt you may see! DO NOT BLOW IT OUT WITH YOUR BREATH!

    (6) reassemble and hopefully enjoy the silence!

If you still get the noise the chances are some dust penetrated fan (this happened to me when I used compressed air to blow the heat sink). Replacement fans are as rare as horse poop to switch I could not even one of the original manufacturer (path to the bottom of the chain - don't expect any help from Dell or nVidia here, I'm afraid) but are thankfully easy to fix.

    GTS 240 fan fix: -.

I do memory-sorry if I get something slightly wrong!

    (1) remove a map as shown above. Once the radiator fan cover will be exposed.

    (2) very gently, using a pair of small screwdrivers hanging under the blower rotor, gently lift the rotor clear of the case. He doesn't want to go at first, but be patient and try and apply steady pressure on each side.

    3) out of the bearing once clean any muck-it only takes a small amount here because of the noise.

    4) applied with a headset, a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of WD40 (don't know what this is called in the United States-but it's a wonder spray!) for the bearing

    (5) wipe off - you'll need that the strict residue on the tree

    (6) reassemble and get started!

If you are worried about prising off the rotor (or indeed I was wrong) you can undo the radiator all of PCB by unscrewing the screws with springs on them - this allows access to the screw bit to hold the fan. Then you can cancel these abd slide the cable out which means that you can clean the bottom - but the rotor must always be removed to lubricate the bearings.

    Good luck

    Hello-

I'm new here and I am also a first time HP customer. I got my new pc for about 5-6 weeks now and have problems with the graphics card crashing and recover. The pilot we (HP Support Tech) installed to try to fix this is:

Worm 10.18.14.4029 11/18/2014 on the site of HP Software and Driver Downloads, however, the driver that there are listed is actually a version lower than that actually installs. I always get the senario crash/recover.

Now, I wonder about the Chipset Intel 9 Series driver. Here is a picture of what appears to be using the same driver. Something seems to have updated.

Of course, I would appreciate help on this issue. I had a Support of look of the India on the remote pc, and it is one that has installed the latest graphics driver. I'm sorry to say, but he has not answered all my questions and has scared me with its procedures. Never do that!

I have a few other occurrences with "sfc/scannow" and something within the control of the diagnostic report Performance/system related to chess and non repairable files, respectively. Please note the failures shown in the following figure:

In advance, I would like to express my gratitude and thanks for any help give you me - thank you!

    Hello

HP has an official presence on this forum other than for administration and moderation. The help you receive is mainly by volunteers.

I have seen your situation several times based on your description of the SFC is not able to correct the errors. There are operating system and maybe the registry files that are corrupted on your system.

Try to return to a know good Windows restore point before the problems started.  It's procedure is good for about 1 in 50 when SFC cannot correct errors.

If you criticize the help on this forum of volunteers so don't expect more assistance.

  • Tips for the installation of the graphics card and CS6

    Hello

I am really new to After Effects and first and I need some advice about the graphics card to use.

My version of Adobe CS6 and after having read the list of supported graphics cards, I know there are cards that are not compatible with After Effects, at least with regard to the Ray Traced 3D engine, which is now obsolete.

I was thinking of buying a used GTX760/770, but if I buy a GTX750 what will be the result? As I understand it, the only thing that will happen is that I can't use the Ray Traced 3D feature, but the card will continue to work as well with After Effects and first. Is this correct?

Another question is, do I really need the Ray Traced 3D option, or can I use a third party plugin?

I'm a bit confused with this and the graphics card is the only thing that I need to buy now. I'm from Europe and I've been looking for a GTX760/770 in Germany, UK, Spain, Amazon, Ebay, but because they are used, some sellers ship items to my country Portugal, or products are a little too expensive.

Regarding my computer it is a system of Skylake based i7 with 16 GB of RAM.

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Kind regards

After Effects do not use the GPU for much of anything other than the raytraced render engine. First it will use for many. You will need to check with people in the forum of the first to see if this older version of first supports this new card. (It will probably do the ever popular 'hack' to add your card to the list of supported cards).

    paulobarbosa74 wrote:

It depends on what you're trying to do. I personally know someone who has used this feature on a professional basis. There are much better solutions out there for most of the tasks. Still, if you really want to use the engine to render raytraced on CS6 with this card, you could do the 'hack' I mentioned earlier for AE too.

But I wouldn't worry about the ray-traced rendering engine. As you mention, the AE team is developing more then you would learn how to use an obsolete tool.

  • Satellite A100-570: need Driver for ATI Xpress 200 M graphics card

    Hello

Could someone tell me where I can find the driver for my advice on video ATI card in Vista Edition Home Premium - 32 bit?

is the name of the device: RADEON XPRESS 200 M Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)
    Hardware ID is:
    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5A62 & SUBSYS_FF101179 & REV_00
    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5A62 & SUBSYS_FF101179
    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5A62 & CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5A62 & CC_0300

    INF section is:
    ati2mtag_RC410M

Currently, only the ATI V7.14.10.8333 from Microsoft update driver can be used.
    It is using inf section:
    'RADEON XPRESS 200 M Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)' = ati2mtag_RC410MB, PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_5A62 & SUBSYS_FF031179

I tried to download the '7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985' of ATI driver, it does not recognize the video card. I check the INF file, it does not contain the inf section: ati2mtag_RC410MB. To install the ATI card manager does not recognize the video card and shows: no corresponding material found.

my laptop is Toshiba A100-570. I also checked the Web from Toshiba site and tried the 'display-vista-8311003206112' driver, not worked not too.
He said the installation of the driver failed. but no other info showed.

so I hope that there is something updated from 7.4 to Vista driver capable of recognizing my video card.

A big thank you to you.

    Hello

It s very strange. Usually, the graphics driver ATI Toshiba for Vista should work!
Satellite A100-570 belongs to the series of PSAA2.
If you always choose this series on the download page of Toshiba if you want to use the drivers of Tosh!

I checked the download page and it seems that this package contains the software of the chipset ATI UMA and the display driver.
Maybe something was wrong during the installation process

The last possibility might be the manual installation of the graphics driver.
You can download this package and then you could install the driver through the Device Manager.
You must manually assign to the source of the driver!

    It's worth a try

  • Absolutely the best possible upgrade for a Dell Dimension C521 graphics card?

I've been upgraded to a Dell Dimension C521, that I use as a general computer and play games.

I know that he will never play in recent games, although with the x 1300 pro that was in it when I got it I have successfully played 2 games or 3 years and more. Runs of Prince of Persia: the forgotten sands, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Darksiders without any problem (all parameters lowish and resolution 800 x 600).

Since I got it I upgraded the CPU to an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 5600 + (Windsor) and the RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB, which has cost me about £25.

I really want to update the graphics card to something better than the Radeon x 1300 Pro that I have atm. I am aware that the PSU is only 280W and I need a map of low profile for this machine, although I read Dell generally insufficiently misses their PSUS in any case. All the posts I can find here and elsewhere online seem to be old enough and I wanted to make sure that I had discovered so far had not become outdated.

So far, I found that the recommended card is the Radeon HD 6570.

Can anyone suggest something better? If not, can anyone suggest what specific version of the 6570 to get (Sapphire, Asus etc.) and the amount of memory to get with it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Can anyone suggest something better?

XFX R7 240 Low Profile Ready

30 watts TDP, against 54 watts TDP for the 6570. Faster, too.

A version of the R7 240 GDDR5 will be even faster, but more money, as well.

  • For the XPS M1330 NVIDIA graphics card

Can someone tell me for Dell XPS M1330, NVIDIA which(model, specification) graphics card is compatible. Dell is saying that I have to buy any motherboard but local dealer says that they can replace only the NVIDIA card, but I don't know which is compatible for the Dell XPS M1330 motherboard. already replaced 3 motherboard due to problem of nvidia.

Dell is right - there is no video to replace card.  The video chip is soldered to the motherboard, to be modified GPU failure.

All the nVidia GPU used in the M1330 share the same technical failure - you are just as likely to see the next Board fail.  If you really want to keep the system, replace the motherboard with the Intel-video version (you need a new heat sink as well).  Otherwise, no matter what the jury would cost to replace would be better spent on a replacement system.  Between the age of the system and faulty engineering nVidia this line of chips, it's a dead-end.

  • Brightness unadjustable for 'High Performance' in the graphics card technology switchable

    Hello

I just made the transition to Windows 7 Professional on my Thinkpad R400(2787-A31)

However, after installing the driver for Thinkpad switchable graphics card, I am unable to set my brightness if I use mode performance. My laptop comes with ATi Radeon 3470 and Intel GMA 4500MHD.

I have already installed most of the drivers, and after a few tests, I realized that it was the switchable graphics driver that cause this problem. Before the installation of this driver, I've been on the ATi Radeon all this time and I can change the brightness.

I hope someone can help me with this problem of driver. My installation of the drivers was the support page. All except the controller PCI of communication Simple to their drivers.

Ok........ I think I solved the problem by upgrading the BIOS with the latest version. I don't know why it would solve the problem, but it worked!

A link to the version of the BIOS 3.09/3.10 is listed below. Good luck. It is the version I've used.

HP has ugly support for driver or BIOS updates for out of production models.  We have no count on the help of the community.

Leshcat has a set of drivers updated the switchable graphics, updated for the ATI Catalyst drivers and Intel.  If you find his work useful, think of Leshcat support by donating some money for him:

I understand that laptops do not have much space internally, so I hope that there is some kind of graphics card that is designed to accommodate this?

I currently have 10 - 5745 M APU with Radeon HD Graphics. 2.10 GHz with 12 GB of RAM.

The games I play are MMORPG (such as Starcraft II) and run very slow/minced, even on low graphics.

I can puchase for this problem?

    Thank you!

A new laptop. Memory Express were obviously Bozo the Clown the Help Desk to work that day, or they had a good laugh at your expense. There is no crack to add a video card. It is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be removed or replaced. There is no such product in the form of video card in your laptop.
