Is there an explanation as to why this feature was removed?

  Somehow you export content of frame of text on linked InCopy files.

  If you remove the link them, then they'll be normal text blocks that don't require checking in or out.

  To remove the link, select all the InCopy files in the links Panel (they will end with extension BCTI or .incx or resources) and choose break link (or Embed) in the links Panel menu.

It can read disks of movies like the Lord of the rings and Wargames, to name a few, I tested, but it will not read any DVD-R disc or to a CD. I tried the CDs as Metallica music... And Justice for all after try in another computer and a radio and get good results when it just won't play on my Mac.

  I have had this problem in the past , but at the time the optical drive not read anything at all. This occurred in early December and I fixed it on 20 December. To solve the problem, I went to the Apple Store and they can Reset the P - RAM. The Apple guy he told me to make sure to disable every night. I did this because it's what I did in the past. After that, I was able to play any CD or DVD and burn them. I also tested it every two weeks by playing a DVD in there to check that it still works.   I don't know why you want to put some words in BOLD and a few words in normal font.
