Want to reinstall OEM Windows 7 Premium

My laptop hard Drive crashed, I bought a new drive and now I need to reinstall the OEM Windows 7 Premium operating system, which came on the system.  I need help now, my CPU is so new that I can't justify the upgrade to 8.0 or 8.1 percent of the cost of what I paid for the new computer.

I do not own CDs and blank DVDs, but I have a 4 GB usb drive and an external hard drive

Help Help Help!

Hello

FYI: You could buy a blank DVD to make a Bootable Windows 7 DVD blank disc is cheap or read USB boards at the end of this post

Another method for reinstall is to download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-image-downloads.12325/

And Neosmart has instructions on how to burn ISO disk images using imgburn:

http://NeoSmart.NET/wiki/Burning-ISO-images-with-ImgBurn/

Then do a clean install:

http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

"How to activate Windows 7 by phone '

http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

The above method also requires that you go to your computer manufacturer's website > Support and downloads Section > locate your model number and operating system > then download and install the latest drivers for it.

No, this isn't how it works.

    Figure 10 Windows Product Activation:

In previous versions of Windows, when you have installed a version upgrade of Windows, if you want to reinstall the upgrade version, you had first reinstall permissible version where you upgraded, reactivate, then upgrade again and reactivate again.

With Windows 10, this is no longer the case. Once you have upgraded to Windows 10 and enable, you can simply create a bootable copy on DVD or USB and reinstall all Windows 10 without having to reinstall the release candidate and it automatically reactivates.

  • you want to reinstall C:\windows\system32\rundl32.exe which was deleted by mistake?

By mistake I deleted the program microsoft C:\windows\system\rundl32.exe from my laptop. Because of this I can't add or delete any program.

Could you please help me reinstall the program above of microsoft?

Because the file of rundll32.exe is supported by the Windows File Protection, should be an extra effort to remove it (unless you are in Mode without failure).

If it never happens "missing" (even if you remove it on purpose) PAM should quickly and quietly replace it using the backup copy in the dllcache folder, and record an event like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64002
    Description:
File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.5512.

That being said (educational fodder for Microsoft hired 'experts' Support Engineer):

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:
    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called rundll32 when the name of the file should really be called rundll32.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

How can I reinstall my window. My windows is genuine, but in the past, I had a nasty virus that destroyed my windows. Pls help

    Hello

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Install Windows 7 Pro the Dell laptop w / OEM Windows 7 Home Premium

I have a bit of a MESS! Bought a Dell Latitude Laptop online, which was supposed to have Windows 7 Pro.  When receipt he did 7 Home Premium. Found I had problems with some XP programs running and finished by the seller to send me a genuine disc "Réinstallation DVD Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit," Dell and a key COST and product.  My concern - since they are BOTH the OEM versions of the operating system and a new drive a "Reinstall" rather than an "upgrade" - is that going to reformat my hard drive and destroy all my drivers and the factory pre-installed programs?  Dell installs a number of vital programs to run the webcam, diagnostics, audio, secure data backup, etc., and all necessary hardware drivers, but they do not send copies of disc.  How to backup all this?  And then, everything I need to copy from the system to be able to reinstall the programs?  Seems an almost impossible process... A drive to "Reinstall" OEM gives you an option to simply replace the operating system and everything still leave it alone?  I certainly don't want to start without knowing what I am getting into.

    Would appreciate certainly no help...

    Nancy

Thanks for your quick response. I'm a little nervous because of all the issues that I had with this laptop - then just one last question for confirmation - if I buy a key to upgrade to 7 Pro AND use the Express Upgrade Wizard, it WILL NOT reformat my hard drive?

That's right, see how it works:

    That is right.

  • Reinstall/activating non - OEM Windows 7

    Greetings-

I'm passionate about PC, and I want to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop.
I made with countless facilities distro of Linux, but never a Windows installation (shock, I know!).
Thus, I have never had to deal with product keys, OEM versions, etc.. I have a few questions.

I have a laptop Lenovo (Ideapad y470, not it's important...), that came with Windows 7 pre-loaded.
He came with all discs, but there a partition recovery (or at least done... Can I have saved and deleted)

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 (reformat the HARD disk, clean install) using the Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x 64 .iso downloaded from DigitalRiver. I do not wish to restore a bloated version of Windows 7 OEM.

If I reformat my hard drive and start installing Windows 7 my Self burned disc, I'll be able to use my product key on the label on the bottom of my laptop (same key that is in the registry and found with geolocation Magic Jelly Bean... so I guess that's the key to product...)
Or though, servers will think that the key is still in use and deny activation?

    I hope everything is clear,

  • My wife down loaded window 8. But I want to reinstall vista 32. No cd. but I have the product key.

My wife down in 8 loaded window, but I want to reinstall Vista 32. (not), but I have my product key.  I need help!  Thank you

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista from how you bought your computer, IF the 8 Windows Installer do not wipe it.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/84488-activate-Vista-phone.html

    See you soon.

  • I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit (Home Premium update) and I want to re - install Windows but in 64-bit. Will I still have Ultimate

I have a Toshiba with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit (Home Premium update) and I want to re - install Windows but in 64-bit. Will I still have Ultimate?

I'm going to re - install from 32 to 64-bit via the loader of windows recovery.
This computer has asked ma to install 32 or 64 bit when I first turned on, I chose 32, but now I want to 64.

It depends on. Is the license of Windows 7 Ultimate, a full version license or upgrade, or upgrade Express?

If its an Express upgrade license, you will need to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, then make the Express Windows 7 upgrade Ultimate edition using the Express upgrade key, you have.

If you have a Windows 7 Ultimate full retail or upgrade version license, you can simply by using the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate disc and do a custom Setup on the current installation of 32-bit.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Can I reinstall my OS from Windows 7 OEM and reinstall my Windows 8 Pro update the store?

    Hi people,
    Happy holidays!

Ask yourself if you can help me with something... I just got my computer to my new Acer's OEM recovery media and wonder; I wanted to reinstall my original Windows 7 OS came with my computer in order to recover the programs that I've accidentally screwed up and lost during my special upgrade Windows 8 Pro I had when the store was to have the $14.99. I want to know if it is possible for me to re - install all the original media to the new drive and then run the Upgrade Advisor, follow it through, reinstall my Windows 8 Pro by using the product key that I bought at the time? Which will work? I don't have a recovery disk for the Pro Windows 8, just my product key which is saved for me. And no, there is not any Windows.old folder to reinstall the programs of the recovery partition. And no, I don't mean to update my Windows 8 Pro. I'm looking for an easy way to do what I'm not a type of technology! I appreciate all help. Thank you!

    Hello

Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 using the disc sent by the computer manufacturer. Once Windows 7 is installed, then you can move to Windows 8. Product key Windows 8 will work, and probably you may need to contact the activation of phone to the activation service.

    Thank you.

  • Want to reinstall Windows XP Home

I want to reinstall windows xp family in my system. I'm not finding anything from the recovery disc. one of my colleagues has installed a windows xp pro without my knowledge and I have service pack update problems I get messages saying illegal software. Help, please.

    Hi Christophe,

The normal technique to use the product recovery CD is down the 'C' key while turning on the notebook. You should here a series of beeps after what Notepad should prompt for the first recovery CD to be inserted.
