  • Wanted: White screen after 10 Windows Update - problem even when back in windows 8.1

    Hello

I've updated to windows 10 and after a few hours, the main screen of my laptop went blank but my second monitor that I use with a HDMI cable still works.

Here is a screenshot - one screen shows white and I'm typing this on screen 2 (continue below)

I've updated my drivers in Device Manager but problem persists, here's my profile for screens and link to full

    (continue below photo)

From my understanding the cables of the screen white screens LCD is still, this problem started after the update of Windows 10 so I'm reluctant to think it's that. My laptop is still under warranty but do not want to send in if he didn't need that I need for work.

I found some information online saying that a restore Image will not work, but I have an and you can try it if need be.

Other information found online says that my computer basically "forgot" that I have a main display to get out information in and make the screen and that's why my second screen works perfectly and me might be able to solve this problem with the start of the saving mode and try to fix it from there again I've never done this and don't want to cause more problems doing things like that.

What could be the best way to go forward with this problem is to say. :

    * Is there a way to check the LCD cables without disassembling the computer. (Don't want to do that, and don't think it's the fault)

    * System Restore will help

    * Where / who should I contact for help in this regard

Thanks for any help provided and please tell me if you need any other info to help. I really want to to fix the problem rather than take it to a guy or HP

It's a bad screen. The upgrade of Windows 10 timing is a coincidence. You can continue to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor forever.

  • Satellite M30X: Can't watch movies on external LCD screen via a cable VGA - black screen?

    Hello.

I have toshiba laptop M30X satellite and I difficutlties about the link between the laptop and lcd tv 32 S 3000.

    1. first of all, I tried with the s-Video cable: I see what is on the screen of the computer laptop on the TV screen, but much worse than plugging in the VGA cable, in terms of sharpness and resolution. I did this by setting the LCD display in the menu windows.

    2. when I use the VGA cable, I don't see it on the TV screen, what is on the screen of the laptop.
I might need to upgrade the drivers for the ATI radeon 9600/9700 series factory installed on the laptop?

BUT the biggest problem arises when I want to see on lcd display media player file formats: mpeg, avi, etc.

What's happening: on the screen of the laptop, I have the image of the film, and on the LCD TV screen I have BLACK SCREEN (even the media player toolbars are still visible)
If anyone has an ideea, I appreciate it.

    Thank you for your time.

    > 2. When I use the VGA cable, I don't see it on the TV screen, what is on the screen of the laptop.
    > I might need to upgrade the drivers for the ATI radeon 9600/9700 series factory installed on the laptop?
This has nothing to do with the display driver, but with the connection.
The VGA port should be used to connect the external TFT and not the TV monitor
But have you used the option of FN + F5 to switch between screens devices?

    > On the screen of the laptop, I have the image of the film, and on the LCD TV screen I have BLACK SCREEN (even the media player toolbars are still visible)
To my knowledge, you must first switch the display on the external monitor and then you should start the film actor.

  • Screen flickers because cable stuck into the hinge - permanent no solution? (dv3t)

My screen dv3t has developed a white flicker bad all over the screen, if I push down on the right hinge area (to the right of the icon wireless on the body "bezel") he goes, but it always comes back... I was open the housing and relocation of the cable and it helps for a while but the problem always returns and I'm getting sick out all these small screws (I had been referring some chips on top of the cable insulating tape so it moves in the hinge where it is probably pinched).

Is there a permanent solution to this? I see others have the same or similar problem and claiming it's a design flaw (my laptop is more under warranty however.)

I thought some kind of small sleeve plastic (hard), installed around the cable maybe it would protect. I brought it to a pc repair shop and they have looked at and said the cable was fine (no); They recommended buying a new laptop (!).

    Open to any suggestion.

    Hey typer2122,

Without being able to see, I'm limited on suggestions. Cut a part of a straw plastic, packaging and attaching it duct tape around the same area, you've been putting pieces of Chatterton autour would be a viable option? It may have to be short and thinner in diameter than a regular straw to fit this space. Feel free to send pictures if you have the time.

I hope this helps! Let me know the results, if you get a chance please

  • black screen when hdmi cable is connected

I installed windows 7 and I'm having a problem with the hdmi. Whenever I connect my hdmi cable to my laptop, my screen goes black and freezes. It does not allow me to do anything, even if I unplug the hdmi cable. I've never had a problem with hdmi running windows vista. I use a laptop x 305 - Q701 Qosmio. I already tried to install the nvidia drivers new and old... it does not work. I also installed the hdmi control center provided with my laptop but nothing. Can anyone help me please with the question. I love everything about Windows 7, but this.

  • Win 7 crashes (blue screen) when LAN cable is plugged.

I installed Win 7, 32 bit upgrade of Vista on my Acer 5810TZ laptop.  Whenever I try to connect the LAN cable, Windows 7 hangs on a blue screen.  When starting, computer doesn't load Windows if the cable is connected.  It worked fine with Vista.  Last Atheros drivers (hardware MFG) have been installed.  Any ideas?

Glad to see that you got it working.

If you see the Acer support site for your laptop, there seems to be Windows 7 drivers (and applications) which you have displayed:

    http://GD.PanAm.Acer.com/home/

You might consider updating all drivers, sound, touchpad, etc that you can. Updates "should" improve the stability.

You could even try the Atheros driver posted after update other drivers such as the chipset driver.

You can always "back" the driver if you develop problems.

In addition, this only cd/dvd burning software you have installed? You had problems with your optical drives at all?

You have McAfee Personal firewall installed and, if so, which version?

  • resolution of the screen using hdmi cables

    I have a dell inspiron 15 3520. It has a resolution of 1366 x 768. The hdmi cable I have is a cable game and 4096 x 2160.

I use the hdmi cable only to watch movies from my laptop to my tv.

When I plug the hdmi cable, my phone tells me the screen resolution does not. It is said that my viewing can be affected.

Is it OK to use this cable or should I replace it with another?

Cables have no resolution, only screens/monitors/TVs do.

Most HDTVs have a resolution of 1024 x 768, but it can vary.  But it does not harm your computer, simply use the resolution setting that your TV manual recommends.

  • Do you want the screen was just a little more big?

Try pressing the F11 key. It allows to switch between normal mode and mode full screen. Mode full-screen, move the cursor to the top to temporarily activate the upper band. F11 allows to enable / disable mode full-screen.

This is when you use a Web browser?

F11 works in Firefox and IE

In seeking to add a second internal drive, there is no motherboard SATA cable.   It's disappointing.  Where can I get a cable?

    Hello

NewEgg.com or most electronics stores like Best Buy should have SATA data cables.  A cable SATA III about 12 "long should suffice.  In addition, wiil you need 4 x HP Compaq blue screw 6-32 SFF Hard Drive isolation mounting Guide-450712-001.  Review the results of Google for 450712-001.

  • Double screen put in place

I have a brand new HP Envy Pheonex 810 109 product # F3D89AA #ABL I am currently using an old Dell monitor in VGA port and it works very well. I bought a HP Pavilion 27 "to add as a second monitor and also bought a DVI - D to HDMI cable. However, "check video cable" keeps showing up on my Pavillion. In the screen set up where he asked the source, I tried both DVI and HDMI nor work. In another announcement someone mention the reset of the monitor, so I tried that. Always get check the video cable. Any suggestions?

You have a choice to make.

You can use two video outputs on the video card or the single video output on the motherboard. You cannot use both.

I suggest using the DVD, released on the video card and a card in the HDMI output on the card. The only problem is that using an old-school VGA monitor does not work on the outputs of the video card because it needs for the output of digital display devices. If you want two screens of the video card, then you will probably need to buy another LCD screen to connect to the video card.

It is probably time to consider turning off the old VGA monitor to the pasture. His time has come and gone.

  • Satellite A500 - 14 k black screen internal - external monitor is ok

    Hello

    I have some problems with my computer screen laptop toshiba satellite A500 - 14 k (p / n: PSAM3E - 02Q008FR)

Initially, the display on the screen was blurry and not stable. I had to tilt the screen to get a picture.
But recently, I have no display at all on the laptop screen.

However, the display is on an external source using the VGA or HDMI output. I think that the problem is not in the motherboard or graphics card, but maybe in the screen, the lcd inverter or the video cable LVDS.

Is my correct deduction or not?

First I'll change the cable of the LCD, but I do find the model for my laptop (dc02000ud00 p/n K000080540) at a reasonable price.

I checked on ebay and I want to know if the cable of the LCD for toshiba satellite A505 might fit my laptop as this product

    http://CGI.eBay.fr/Toshiba-A500-A505-video-cable-6017B0201901-V000190070-/120554876390

It is said that the cable is for satellite A500 A505 their American model. Do you think this could be compatible with my french model?

Another issue is on the cover of RAM. I lost mine and I would like to know the reference of a new (product number)?

The shape is like on the Toshiba PC Satellite maintenance manual I found on this site (see page 25 of the manual)

    http://Tim.ID.au/laptops/Toshiba/Satellite%20a500%20PRO%20a500.PDF

    Thank you for your answers

    > However, the view is of course an external source using the VGA or HDMI output. I think that the problem is not in the motherboard or graphics card, but maybe in the screen, the lcd inverter or the video cable, LVDS
    > Is my correct deduction or not?

I agree with you it s not related to the graphics chip on the motherboard.
There must be something wrong with the LCD display or a tiny part as FL inverter or similar

In your case, I recommend you ask the authorized Toshiba partner in your country for compatible parts.
In this case, you are always on the right side and can be 100% sure that ordered parts would be fully compatible.
