T60 not recognize new HD

I installed the new HD in the Notebook Lenovo T60 and it does not recognize. Inslalled in another machine and it recognizes that the HD, installed the old HD in Lenovo T60 and recognizes. Why?

Size has nothing to do with it, T60 is quite capable of accepting more than 200GB disks.

What version of Windows you are trying to install? the CD/DVD can be bad. The HARD drive seems OK as linux has been able to recognize, I think maybe leaving the BIOS you forget to save the settings, check this.

What really happens when you start with a disc with the disc in Windows? the installation program still works? the installer says that it cannot find the drive? you get an error message or just a white screen? In addition, what is the brand of the drive? is it compatible with T60? provide us the complete model number please!

Keep us informed.

  • Windows XP Home edition does not recognize new HDD on the Qosmio G20

I have a Qosmio G20/390LS bought a year ago, when I worked at the Japan, I tried to upgrade the hard drive with a new HD 100 GB Hitachi SATA but I faced a problem that XP does not recognize the HD.
For your reference, the Bios sees the new HD, when I install the XP operating system I load the driver downloaded from the Toshiba Web site but no way RAID with F6... XP does not recognize the HD.

Do you have any idea how to fix?
    Thank you

    Hello

Computers portable Japanese are unknown to me, but if this laptop comes with two hard drives and RAID option do not forget the good option is set in the BIOS. Without the right BIOS setting you will not be able to install the OS.

On Qosmio G30, I was able to install Vista when for two HDD HARD drive settings were 0-RAID-1. Check it please and let us know.

  • My laptop does not recognize new Sandiscs - what am I missing

I recently bought 3 new Sandisk SD Ultra 16GB 10 speed but the card reader in my computer hp laptop Windows XP, does not recognize them.

They work fine in my camera.
The original disks are 2 GB and they work fine in the camera and the computer.
    What Miss me?

You don't mention what service pack you have, but if you have sp 3, the most likely reason is that the card reader in your laptop is too old to read new (> 2 GB) SDHC cards.  Connected by USB readers are fairly inexpensive, just be sure that the one you get includes the ability to read SDHC cards

    For example: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_5?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sdhc+card+reader&sprefix=sdhc+%2Caps%2C213

  • PC does not recognize new monitor

I have a Compac PC under Windows 7 Home Premium.  I had to replace a generic monitor who was dying and buy a DELL E2314HSC1 monitor.  The seller assured me that it works with one computer other than DELL.
The PC recognizes only as the generic monitor attached previously.  DELL Manager software installed, but does not work because the PC still "thinks" the old monitor is attached.
I thought of uninstalling the old monitor and see if it then acknowledge the DELL, but I fear that this then I would not no matter which monitor access at all if it does not recognize.
It is attached via cable with blue sheets.  My PC does not have entries for the one with the gray caps.  (Sorry, I don't know what either of those called, but I hope you experts out there know what I mean).
    Any suggestions?

You try to install the E2314H driver.

  • computer will not recognize new helmet

OK, so I got a logitec headset cord broke, so I went and bought a headset not expensive gigaware, and which lasted a bit, until this week, where that string broken too, so I've just went to target and got another logitec headset, but when I'm home and plugged, the habit of my computer recognize that any audio device is plugged...?

    Hello

    1. how you connect the head phone to the computer?

2 have you tried to use the same phone head on another computer and check?

    Method 1.

This occurs when you have external speakers, by default. We need to put the headset as default.
Perform the task mentioned to set the headphones as default:
    a. Click Start, and click Control Panel.
    b. click sound, and then a new window will open.
    (c) in the new window click on the tab 'Read' and right-click in the window and click Show disabled devices.
    d. check if headphones are listed and then right-click on it and choose activate.
    e. Select this headset, and then click "Set as default".

    Method 2:

Check with the volume settings and if it helps:
    (a) right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select volume control options.
    (b) check on "all devices evolving sound.
    (c) make sure that you have "Default uncontrolled communication device".
    (d) place a check on the speakers and headphones.

    Method 3.

    a. right click your sound icon.
    b. click playback devices.
    c. right-click on the reading tab.
    d. click Show disabled devices.
    e. right click on the playback tab.
    f. click Show disconnected devices.

    Method 4.

check your connection. The most likely source of a complete cessation of the features is loose or unplugged connection. Make sure that the USB cable is correctly plugged into the USB port on your computer and do not move when shaken slightly.

b make sure that the headset is selected as audio device by default. When a device is listed as a default value, it automatically will be used, even when the other output (such as speakers or a secondary microphone) devices exist. To make your audio/line-in helmet device by default in Windows XP, go to (accessible via the menu 'Start') Control Panel then click on the link "Sounds and Audio devices" and click the tab "Audio". Then under the headings "Audio playback" and "Voice recording", select your headset in the drop-down list. Then the same things in the "Audio" tab click the 'OK' button to save the changes.

c check the status of the driver. Device drivers are small pieces of software that facilitate communication between computers. To check your device drivers, go to the Control Panel, select 'System' then go to the 'Material' on 'Device Manager' tab and go to the section of sound, video and game controllers. Click on the yellow arrow to show installed audio and audio devices. If you see your device listed, your drivers are up to date. If your device is not listed, or it has a yellow exclamation mark next to it, you need to reinstall or update your drivers. See Manual of the owner of your headset for more information about how to install the drivers for your specific model.

    I hope this helps.

  • system does not recognize new hard drive

HD has failed (WD 80 GB) so I installed a new a 250 GB WD. I checked with WD HD replacement is compatible, Dell confirms that the jury will have the biggest HD (I've updated the bios). The Bios the WD 250 HD, but when I try to load Windows XP Home Edition (SP1) I get none found after the part of hard disk initialization? Q: we told me that Windows XP SP1 will recognize not a HD 250 GB and I need to install XP SP2 or more... is this true and if so is there anyway around this problem as I only have SP1? Thank you

Since you have a Dell, you can contact them and see if they will send you an updated XP installation disc. The alternative is to integrate SP3 into the XP SP1 support and create a new XP installation disc which will include SP3. It is not difficult.

  • Computer will not recognize new keyboard, KU-0841 in Vista

The other day, I bought a new key board and I'll have a lot of problems when trying to use it.
First of all I can't download his material, which means I can't even recognize the keyboard of the computer. I've tried everything I can think of, but I still can't get it to work. This model KU-0841. If anyone can offer advice on how to get this keyboard to work, I would really appriciate it. : D

My new keyboard is having some major issues regarding the material and use

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should you do to the keyboard at least and all others you have time to do - they help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html. Make sure driver debice arises and is functioaing properly.

Are you sure that the keyboard is compatibble with your version of Vista? http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/

The old stilll keyboard works fine on the computer?  Have you tried the new keyboard on another computer to see if it works there?

Who is the manufacturer of the keyboard?  Does it come with the firmware or software tha must also be installed?

Go to start / Control Panel / Add Hardware and have the system search and install a new hardware it finds.  It can find and install your keyboard.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!

  • Computer Windows XP does not recognize new all-in-one printer.

Improved a HP Officejet 7300 all-in-in-one (USB) on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more all-in-one (wireless), because I had a router (Linksys, Cisco 3000) last year. Summer wireless except for the printer so far. There are not 3 weeks has obtained new 8600 more. Plugged into my desktop computer (Windows XP), but could not understand how to connect my laptop (Windows 7) work. When I finally did, would not work my office! I had deleted my old 7300 in my computer list because I was going to move somewhere else. Whenever I try to add a printer, screen recognizes the new 8600, but after 3-7 tests, it stops and I get: "installing network without success. Printer could not be installed on the network. Click Retry to try to reinstall the printer on the network... "I'm at the end of my mind. The work of COMPUTER technician could not help me - told me to get a gun (he says he knows how to connect those). Right. I really like HP and want to make this work. I have to: reinstall my 7300 to uninstall when I 'install' the 8600 - once AGAIN? (Really?) Please tell me there's something I missed it's look me right in the face. I need to print from my work laptop, and I am currently using the 7300 with a USB connection. Maddening. Thank you.

Since the static IP address, make sure that the computer has the IP address of the printer.

This can be done by clicking Start > all programs > HP > Officejet 8600 The folder > IP update.

This should detect the network printer and enter the new IP address.

Also, make sure that the firmware is up to date.  This can be done through two methods, but I recommend the update to the computer.  Click here to download the update of the firmware.  If the printer is already updated, the update tool indicates this.  If it is not updated, it will update the printer.  This should be done from a computer that is able to communicate with the printer.

If you want to update directly from the printer, you can do so by pressing the icon of web services (paper with rings behind it at the top) > settings > printer update > check for update now.  If an update is available, it will update.  If this isn't the case, it will indicate that no update is available.

The new firmware can solve existing problems and help keep the printer works best.

    Hi mate,

What's the battery old Toshiba, original properly recognized by Windows? If so the case is clear: you should buy a Toshiba original battery! ;)

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 computer is running Windows XP service pack 3, it has a cd/DVD burner in this model (HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GWA4164B), I used to be able to burn CDs and DVDs fine, so please respond with lol 'maybe your drive doesn't burn DVDs' as you can see in the model # it's a DVD +-RW drive.

But my problem is the following... for some reason the DVD burner does not detect the 'NEW' blank DVD - R, there is no problem of detection of blank CD - R disc and I can burn fine on the CD - R. But for some reason it does not detect blank DVD?

When I put one in the drive, I don't get the popup asking what I want to do etc, or to go to WORKSTATION and look a the drive it shows no media present.

I have Nero Platinum 15 installed in my burning software, which has a function of DISK INFORMATION, which also shows that 'no disk in drive '.

    I have re installed Nero...

I uninstalled the drive and re installed
