  I understand that you want to install a touchsmart on your laptop screen.   When I checked your HP 2000 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide there no touch screens are listed for the replacement. (Chapter 3, page 17, section 1)

  It may be possible, but it would be unsupported and the result would be unknown.

  There is no way to use a USB-HDMI video adapter as DThompson1985 suggested. If I understand you correctly, you want to use your TouchSmart computer as screen for your XBOX. Your computer doesn't have the ability to do and will not support it. A USB-HDMI adapter is useful to display video from your TouchSmart computer to an external monitor or HDTV.

• TouchSmart IQ500: Want to reformat but recovery disks don't work

  I'm trying to reformat the hard drive of this computer. I made a set of recovery discs and want to wipe the drive and reinstall, but I can't boot from these DVDs. Windows checked their after that I burned them, but they just turn.  I can reset it to the factory using the D drive recovery partion but I want run dban then restore to factory settings.

  I tried other discs, as a Windows Vista Ultimate, and big boots, so the drive is not the problem, the discs are.  Any thoughts on how to get out of this pickle would be apprecaited.

  A factory reset, which removes the partitions and then create fresh OEM partitions, should suffice.

  If you still have doubts, then replace the drive by another and take a hammer to the original. It is the approved military method of removal of data from a hard drive.

  Once the trays are broken, no one can recreate the data.

  BTW, simply because the recovery started on the MacPro does not mean he'll run there.

  You are welcome.

  It seems that you will not be able to order the recovery disks.  Therefore, you will need to purchase a full copy of the operating system.

  In the future, you should make sure to create recovery disks when the computer is new.  This will save you a lot of problems.  I made the same mistake myself.  It's not a good feeling when you don't have the disks.

  I recently got the new TouchSmart HP Envy 20.  I installed the Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 on the computer, the webcam video editor, stop working.  I ran the video editor, it wouldn't load a video.  I tried to uninstall the program, it came with errors.  I got it all fixed.

  I used the free Revo Uninstaller to remove forcibly Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 of the computer.  Webcam still does not work.  I looked in the MSCONFIG startup list, the Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 was in the list.  I have disabled this program, restarted the computer.  The webcam came back alive!
