WAP 121 range problem

I WAP121 AP, I am facing a problem of scope, not covering as much distance.

How to check the AP coverage distance?

Are there tools to get the actual distance covering each AP (in meter) because my client wants to detail test report?

What is the coverage of the normal distance of WAP121, if you consider without any interference and without walls?

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

Distance or coverage is not an exact science when you talk about a customers environment. The reason is that each situation is different. If your reading of wireless signals and coverage, all of these numbers is usually based on an ideal environment with little or no interference.

The bad news is that almost all customer environments will suffer from some type of problem that will degrade the scope and the speed of the signal.

The scope of any access point WiFi signal given varies also significantly from device to device. The factors that determine the range of an access point include:

  • the 802.11 standard specific to the Protocol it works
  • the strength of its transmitter device
  • the nature of the obstacles physical and/or parasites radio in the vicinity

A general rule in home networks, explains that traditional operating on the 2.4 GHz band Wi - Fi routers achieve up to 150 feet (46 m) indoors and 300 feet (92 m) outside. New 802.11n and 802.11ac routers that work on the bands of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz vary similarly increased.

Physical barriers in homes as brick and steel or cladding walls reduce the scope of a network Wi - Fi of 25% or more. Due to the laws of physics, 5 GHz Wi - Fi connections are more sensitive to obstacles than 2.4 GHz and will in fact a shorter range but a better signal.

    As I am not certain that Orange will appoint the data plan, I don't know any old data plan will not do, even, it is a plan of "maximum download."

    It must be given to the BlackBerry device. Call your Orange customer service and ask if your data plan for BlackBerry. There is a difference.

    Method 1:

    Run the fixit in normal mode and check.

    Method 2:

    Check if the problem persists in safe mode with network. If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network check if the problem persists in the boot.

  • Tecra M5: Wireless connection is no longer working

    I have a new Toshiba Tecra M5. I originally put in place to connect to my WAP Home/office with no problems. After using it in a place where no WAP was available and making the home, wireless connection"is not available" and I can't do so.

    Additional information: I have two other systems connected to my WAP without any problem. I can connect the Toshiba to my home LAN via a cable without problems. I already rebooted the latest drivers and tried to re-establish a wireless connection completely new, without success.

    Looks you used Notepad in 2 different WLANs.
    In my opinion, you should refresh the connection.
    Go to the properties of WLan, and select the wireless networks tab.

    Here, you can set the home WLAN on the preferred networks. This should be done if you have configured your WLan network as invisible. Also use the option View Wireless networks.
    If your home WLan is not in the list, then you need to add the SID of WLan.

    Usually the WAP encryption password must be redefined

    Hi guys... just bought the WAP300N and was Advisor after WiFi extender mode.

    I currently have a Linksys WRT54GL, my main Router - 2.4 Ghz Wireless G. I bought for push WAP mainly range.

    For mode Extender, the WAP300N should be on the same 2.4 Ghz or are there advantages of the network with the 5 GHz band?

    I'm testing my application Widget loading a remote web page.  I am only on the torch device itself.  It works fine on the simulator of 9800.

    Using the browser on the device, I can hit my internal site: http://192.168.1.100/index.html.  This works.  However, when I run my application Widget to the device, which points to the same site, I get:

    The system gave:

    (113) no route to host

    Why can I hit the site from the browser, but not from my application, which has this in the config.xml file?

    Boy, all the guys from RIM should play on their rules.  It would have been easy for them.

    In the Widget/WebWorks config file, you can specify which transport to use application and enforcement.

    The default order seems to be:

          MDS    BIS-B    TCP_WIFI    TCP_CELLULAR    WAP2    WAP

    The problem is, the BIS server can't find my private server (nor should it).  I still think it's a bug, it should go to transport after the failure of BIS - B.

    In any case, I changed my order for testing purposes.  (Not sure I recommend for production, but who knows do).  I moved WIFI upward and now I can load my application my private server remotely.

    I m not quite about this error message, but it seems that s associated with memory issue I/O (input / output).

    You mentioned a cursor blinking in the upper left corner.
    This symptom is already known to me. I had such a problem blinking cursor also and in my case it was related to abnormal or bad memory and HARD drive.
    I had to replace the HARD drive after all firstly by the modules of memory in order to solve this problem.

    From my point of few your question may be linked to the faulty memory because the I/O message is linked to problems of memory too.

    You said that Linux works properly using the Live CD?
    I guess you booted the laptop using this live cd but did not install the system on the HARD disk.
    Well, I don t think that this could be a clear proof that the RAM or HARD drive is OK.

    You can do the following: update your bios if not already done and then try with different operating systems (linux, windows, etc.) if the error reappears, then you should send your machine to the partner service and the statement that the error occurs independent of the operating system running.

    The photo on your screenshot shows that the Broadcom wireless card is present and functioning properly.

    So, if you are unable to connect to the internet, unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with that.
