  Can you please tell us a little more about your problem? Since when do you have this problem? Do you use new hardware components like wifi PCMCIA card? It seems to be the driver for some hardware component is not the right one and there is the problem.

• HP 600-1350 PC: erronious warning message that is causing me to have to restart without reason

  AT & T has had a wide spead failure last week that caused an interruption of 27 hours of my Uverse cable - int. - phone.   Bit of an issue, the wireless on my laptop will not work. It is certainly a problem with the laptop itself, the router etc are all fine. I can connect to the internet with a cable, but Wireless does just not all. The switch on the front of the laptop, which should turn the radio power, has no effect. Before this problem of switching on the position 'on' would cause icon connection Wireless next to the switch to light up, it's no longer the case.   Sorry, I misunderstood.  You are referring to the name wireless ID SSID (Service Set).  It is defined in the configuration of your wireless router.  I'm not familiar with this particular router, but with most routers, you can use a web browser to connect to the router (your model, it is http://192.168.2.1) preference of a wired connection that to change the SSID will cause a disconnect wireless, connect you with password "admin" (unless it's been changed) and change the settings.  On most routers, hold the button Reset on the router will return to factory settings which is possible as to how this change could occur.  Links to the user guide and manual configuration is on this page:

  I recently bought the printer and trying to connect to my wireless network.  I followed the instructions to the letter (twice), without success.  I spent a few hours trying to solve the problems.  A few relevant details:

  1. with the help of VISA Home Premium on computer laptop installation

  2. use FIOS router wireless

  3. I tried to many physical locations of the printer (including next to the router) - the wireless network Test report states:

  No filtering - FAILED

  The signal - VERY LOW

  4. I tried to NETWORK WIZARD to set the WEP and SSID (he still believes only he)

  5. I cut/pasted my page to config the router WEP key

  6. I tried to manually enter an unused IP address subnet mask and gateway

  7. I have disabled the firewall on my laptop with no change in results

  8. I have confirmed the filtering MAC is NOT enabled.

  9. I have three wireless devices throughout my home connected without any problem.

  It almost seems as if there is a flaw with the adapter on the printer wireless.  How the power of the signal to be VERY LOW when the printer is 2 feet away from the router.  When the Network Wizard starts, it locates all the networks without wire around me (which is odd).  I spent reviewing the help articles in support of HP and messages in this forum.

  Any help would be most appreciated.

  There are a few things to check here.

  First, let's define an IP address of the printer:

  -Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
  -Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
  -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
  -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). I think that your router is 192.168.1.2 a.51 as its range.  Choose 192.168.1.100
  -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
  -Let the gateway and DNS white. Click on 'Apply' - this part is important!  The page will not respond.  Wait a few seconds, then enter the new IP of the printer to see if it responds to the new IP address.

  Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  Finally, WEP is not secure and can cause problems with wireless connectivity.  It can be broken with freeware in 10 minutes approximately.  Please turn on your router to use WPA with a password strong character 13 +.

  Yes, you can apply or update a license on a sensor running without interupting traffic. Signature updates and Service Packs DO interrupt traffic if your FPS is online.

((6) performed a "Hard reset" several times using this procedure: a) disconnect all devices and remove all USB devices and multimedia cards. (b) disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery and then press in and hold the button for at least 1 minute. (c) reconnect the AC power adapter (do not connect the battery), press the switch and check is this problem is solved or not. ((d) and added, I.) In the BIOS & "reset to factory defaults" ii.) Unplug the battery CMOS and connect battery and reset the time. ((7) the laptop via battery Ran only 8) ran the laptop through the power supply only 9) booted up the laptop with the Ubuntu operating system via a USB and that the operating system could not 'find' the adapter wireless laptop is acting, as it is off, but in addition to the power switch on the front of the laptop that always remains orange , it doesn't seem to be any other places to manage the On / Off function.   These notebooks have been prone to problems of heat. It was also known that excessive heat caused damage to wireless networking.

  This is probably one of 2 things:

  1. the heat pulled out the wireless card.

  2. the heat pulled the motherboard components that operate the wireless network as the mini-PCIe slot card.
