Warranty issues on HP Envy 750xt desktop

I just bought a desktop HP Envy 750xtand have a few questions about warranty options.   LiveChat is down or I would have asked them!  in any case, here are the questions:

1. what guarantee do the funds come with, it is 90 days a year, or more?

2. What is the best warranty available for this desktop computer?  I found this one. This is the best?  It covers hardware problems for all 3 years (as if the hard drive or motherboard should go wrong, for example)?

3. Finally, if I end up needing to put a CPU cooler in (I opted for the 980TI i7 - 4790 k and gtx), which could result in the cancellation of the warranty?

Thank you!

I can add a fan to the RAM & update the heatsink fan!

All of you who have this model or a model close to him.  Can you tell me what type of fan upgrades you did, that you have used the model fans and how it worked for you, and where you have been!

Also, feel free to tell me anything else about this upgrade did it worked for you, or did not work for you!

    Thank you

This particular model is a slimline form factor, these units are limited in space.   If you want to cut back to allow a bigger case fan, add a slot fan and a larger radiator, go ahead.  If the real purpose was to add a graphics unspecified, you never mentioned.

    JoBla, welcome to the forum.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure that the latest components will work in an old computer.  Your computer is almost 3 years old.  My suggestion is to choose the SSD and the video card you want to buy and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to determine if it will work with your computer.  They are the experts on their products.  This will save you the possibility to pay for the return of one of them.  That's what I did and it works fine.

I can recommend a PSU 600W (PSU), however.  I love Corsair products.  Here is a very good power supply.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  There is a modular version of it, too.  The modular power supply is good for medium-sized cases.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  Which makes for airflow and better cable management.

  • Hard disk warranty issues

Sorry if this is long and wordy brief summary of the problem: the other day, computer laptop of my son died when he was in the middle of something, the blue screen of death and it wouldn't turn on.  I checked the hard drive in the BIOS setting and it failed (0XC0000185).    I called and they sent me a new hard drive and I installed it then ran through the recovery disks.  The second disc wouldn't work, said it was either an evil or it has been altered.  I called HP again and they sent me new disks, which cannot possibly be here until week next due to holiday weekend.  (If so, it has a HP 2000, product code C2M54UA)

My first question is (because I can't stand the extra hours on the phone; "I practically have an ulcer that), should I return the old hard drive and all the stuff they sent with her back now?  It came two days ago (this would be the third day) and he said the newspaper to send all within three days.  I don't know if I should wait for the new discs to arrive and attempt to recover I was not told what to do.  I wonder because it's the long weekend.

Secondly, I fear that there may be damage to the new hard drive because I saw that practically thrown UPS box on the market and went off (they hit, but I couldn't not at the gate at the time; the first time they left valuable and sensitive elements on my approach and I'm not impressed!).  Is the HP parcel sent me insured against damage?

Third and it's because I have horrible luck in things, I was told that if there is damage on the original hard drive, we would have to pay for it.  My son (12 and most honest kid I know) says he has never fallen and I know he's careful with it as it does a lot of work on this subject of videos.  I don't know how this would be and I am sick on it.  There should not be any physical damage, but I had the warranty issues with other products in the past who were no fault of mine and not covered, so I make myself sick panic because we can do nothing (this laptop was a Christmas gift for my son).

Worst case scenerio, what can I expect if there is a problem?  I've seen numbers quoted about $300, so I'm sick to my stomach with worry.  The laptop first was only $299.   I know from experience that the parties can sometimes cost more than product, especially if sent retal.  I just bought a new hard drive elsewhere if I had know this would have caused me a lot of personal stress.  So I'm panicking that I may have to send the laptop and be responsible for the charges that I can't afford even though I'm sure it should be fine.   I was told that there may be damage to the motherboard if it is not read the discs, so I see $$.  I live in Canada so delivery also...

Anyway, any help would be appreciated because it causes me a lot of concern and anxiety.  I'm not if I can help it, contact .  Enough hours on the phone this week, lol!

    Thank you!!

You don't really need to worry about any of this.  Go ahead and ship the failure HD back now (that's all they need) because it is bad and will do you no good.   If the new HARD drive has been damaged during shipment somewhow (it probably wasn't), then he would just test the HARD drive on it, once that you install to make sure it works.  If for any reason any, that it is not, you must call HP to replace another (same procedure).  Regarding the charges damaged, with hard drives they practice usually you unless parts are broke or there is water damage.

  • Re: any warranty issue

I bought a Toshiba Satellite ultrabook October 15 on the Internet by using a local garage - laptop.bg (either by the way, I was not able to register as a customer of Bulgaria for this forum, I had to check the Australia to the 403 error message).

This product was offered with no. Matter What Guarantee and 1 year of subscription free McAffee.
When you start the computer, that I was asked to do different things that will ensure a good installation, update the operating system, check with Toshiba, recording with McAfee...

I did everything as said and I even got a registration confirmation, indicating that everything is OK and I now have the European 3-year warranty standard for laptops.

Everything was fine until 2 weeks later, when I began to receive messages from McAfee saying that my 30 day trial version will soon be over. I contacted the store, they promised to check and came back with the following information
-I have not registered for 1 year free McAfee protection, just 30 days of the trial.

In order to get the offer I had to use a code on a flyer. I never had a flyer included in the documentation. .
-What's worse, I have not specifically asked the no matter what option and I'm not eligible for 15 days have passed since the purchase of the product.

They advised me to contact the local Toshiba support to discuss these two issues. Not surprising, Toshiba support gave me the same answers - I had a flyer with registration number of McAfee AND I should have registered SEPARATELY for No Matter What Guarantee. To sum up - too late to do anything about my problems.

I decided to write here as a last resort. I can not complain directly to Toshiba, because I can't find a universal contact info and I have already discussed the issue with their local representatives. I know that it is useless, but I want to say this

Dear Toshiba. It is not very nice to use this kind of marketing gimmicks to attract customers, because they have the opposite effect. If you bid honestly a special no matter what guarantee, you would have included the registration as well as the regular warranty procedure in the startup procedure instead.

Waiting to see if customers would understand your registration system and reward those who overcome it may look like a fun psychology experiment but feeling well at the front desk.

Also, if you want to offer free anti-virus protection a year, you could have it in a way that doesn't depend on the diligence of the staff packing!

So far, I'm happy with my ultrabook, but the bad feeling? remain. I feel betrayed and I think twice before you buy or recommend Toshiba.

  • Envy 17 M7: Warranty on refurbished HP Envy M7 n109dx

I bought a HP Envy M7 renovated on Amazon n109dx and I noticed that even though she was supposed to come with a 90 day warranty, he arrived at expiration. Is it possible that I can get the 90 day warranty. I just received it today in the mail.

You mean that it shows as expired on the website? Did you sign up with HP? The system is based on a date of end of warranty alleged based on when the device shipped to the seller. If she is on the shelf for a while this date can come and go. The warranty period is 90 days after delivery to retail in order to keep all your documents and if a warranty claim is in place (hope not) you can prove the date of delivery.

  • Satellite S50t-B008 / 00 H never worked properly - warranty issue

I m writing that, until that time, my last chance to get some help, cause everyone else rolled up useless.
I used to be a big fan of Toshiba, because I always thought that your products were first class and has never let me down.
    SO FAR.

11/15/14, I bought the D. Smith in Warringah Mall, a Satellite S50t-B008/00 H. I m, a graphic designer and I use it for work, that s how I make my living, so I decided to go with this model which was supposed to be a big piece of machinery.

After a month, he began to have problems such as the touch screen wouldn t work, she wouldn t start and it turned off by itself. This lasted several days until I decided to take it to D.Smith (31/12014) for a replacement (since I spent 1,100 AUD and any computer with just a month should do any of the things).

Of course they gave me bad excuse because we are resellers, we sell only the computer, Toshiba should take care of any problem with no intention of helping, and they just gave me a number to call.

I was a little upset at the time, but I still called the Hotline from the Toshiba Support, were a tough guy told me made me do a reset of the parameters, this work of t n and then said the only thing they could do (after two hours on the phone) to guide me through the steps on how to format it.

It didn't work either, so I called again, with the reference number, the guy gave me (I have it here if you need it).

Another guy, at least this one was a little more friendly, told me that the only thing I could do was to take the computer to a Toshiba official s technician to fix.

I asked him if he could give me just a replacement to D. Smith and he said no. (so, until one - and this time, I had spent $1,100 on a computer I have couldn t use, I was losing money and work, and nobody could help me).

01/08/15 I got the official technician computer and I was just able to pick up on Saturday (24/01/2015 a month after I started with it) and guess what, even after that, it is STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

What am I supposed to do?
I still 1,100 AUD less in my bank account and a NEW computer that I had to format and replace various parts, for nothing, cause I still can't use it.

As a consumer and a Toshiba s fan in my opinion, this is a HUGE SCAM and I feel CHEATED (not to mention mad freaking).

Just to be clear, I n t want this computer no more and, of course, I don't want any other Toshiba, cause they can really down and same person takes the trouble to give me a solution...

Meanwhile, I was faced with a lot of trouble since I can t work without computer (and I don t want to even talk about how much money I'm losing)

I tried to contact someone by phone, facebook, twiter, then you have probably heard this before, can you please help me with this problem?

I need to work, and I need a computer to do.

    Please, give me a solution!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi cossoria

    Sorry to hear that.

It s really damage your new bought laptop is not working properly and I understand you very well its always annoying when the departure of the newly purchased device malfunction

    I guess you're the Australia.

I m not quite sure as the Australia, but in my country the consumer can return the product without assuming all responsibilities and without any reason within 14 days from the date of purchase.

The dealer is obliged to ensure the good work produced, and if the dealer is not able to provide a good working device, you should be able to return the product within the time limit.

Toshiba as a laptop to the manufacturer provides a standard 1 year limited warranty and if Notepad starts a dysfunction within the valid warranty period, the Toshiba authorized service provider would be able to repair the laptop under warranty conditions, free of charge.

What shall I say This is a user to user forum and I would recommend you to get in touch with the dealer of your laptop, as well as with Toshiba in order to clarify the issue

  • Need help with a warranty issue, but can't take the computer back to the shop

    I have the following problem:
I'm a backpacker and bought a Toshiba A660/15j someone in Adelaide. I have the original receipt and the laptop is still under warranty.
Now 2 issues have been raised. First of all, I sometimes get a message that my system runs too hot and that I should stop the computer immediately and return to the service. When I open the monitor health all values are good and the system does not display any overheating (nor does it feel too hot). The second thing is that about two weeks ago, the battery started to empty real quick. When I now fully recharge the battery and do not touch the computer for 2 days, it will be completely empty. It is surely not normal!

The laptop was bought initially in Queensland, but I am now in Perth and have no way to go back and return to the store like it what I have to do according to the directives of service Toshiba.

    What can I do?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

There may be a build-up of dust in the radiator. You can buy a can of compressed Air from electronic stores (DickSmith and Jaycar for example) to blow dust through the vents.

What about the battery drain, update the BIOS to the latest version (take a look at mytoshiba.com.au-> Support-> downloads), then go into BIOS by pressing F2 during POST and disable the USB Sleep and fresh.

If you still have problems with it, you can send the laptop to a Toshiba repair center. There is a list ASP on mytoshiba.com.au

  • HP ENVY 750se desktop PC: turn around blu - ray player?

    Hello

I just got the desktop PC HP ENVY 750se with Blu - ray burners and burner DVD SuperMulti burner.

Everything works fine. My problem is the orientation of the reader.

It would have been better if the reader was prepared horizontally.  Not happened.  HP box should go on the right side of my desktop, drive is mounted vertically, and this is my chance that the orientation of the player opposite me who puts Assembly and disassembly of the ackward media CD/DVD/Bluray and quite a twist of the wrist excersize.

Until I opened the box and experiement if I can go back to the disc, so he faced me, is this doable from a material point of view? Or is the disc material permanently set to this position to damndable?

I think that my last resort is to order my office by placing the box on its side and to serve as a basis for my monitor.  If the Player cannot be reversed, ok to run the HP box on the side?

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello @Ryck,

    Thanks for the reply!

If you place the office in a horizontal position, then the event must be correct upwards?  I don't think that should be a problem.  However, if placing the office horizontally, covers the vent, so I do not recommend it.

    I hope this helps.

I recently bought the hp with i7 proceessor envy and I want to know if the 23 inch screen IPS LED - lighting HP Pavilion monitor will be compatible with i7 ENVY 700-311 HP Desktop processor?

Until the entry of the screen is the viudeo output which is available on the desktop PC, it will be compatible. The dekstop PC has VGA and DVI outputs. Just use a cable that allows you to connect both devices and you'll get the video.

I see that the screen has both. I highly recommend the digital video input instead of the VGA NICU.

You will need a DVI cable.
