Watch the RDP session in windows 7

Hi we have 4 pc under windows 7 in the office users connect using RDP when they work from home.

is it possible to display their RDP sessions (no need to interact - just view only)
Need to do this without user intervention in the rdp session.

I know that the remote assistance feature lets you view - but this requires intervention by the user.

  • User logged on the server over the RDP session - Small Business Server 2011 x 64

We have a Small Business Server 2011 standard x 64.  We have the configuration of the remote desktop on port forwarding in the firewall to allow a user to connect to this server using RDP remote desktop.  This isn't a server terminal server.  No, there are no available Remote Desktop Manager settings.

When the user connects through the RDP application and connects to the server.  If the users session is idle for 15 minutes, the user is connected to the server (not disconnected the RDP session, just to connect to the server).  The user must log into the server every time that happens.  We tried adjusting the Remote Desktop Session Host settings and changed the Session time limits, but this isn't the parameter we are looking for.  We have looked extensively through the default domain group policy and see nothing active to this behavior.  We examined local group policies and studied the session time limits in the user and computer configuration > policies > models Admin > RDP >... session host and it is has anything configured here which could trigger this behavior.

Yet once, it connects the disabled user, not closing the remote session.  We have also examined the user account for this user and looked for resume posting require logon settings (although with SBS, it is not even there to adjust the display settings).  I had partner Microsoft supports focus on this during one hour (he didn't use too much of my time to support) and they have been unable to resolve within an hour.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

  • Error when you try to publish movies with Windows Movie Maker: another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computer. Please close the other session of Windows Movie Maker before starting Windows Movie Maker again.

Movie Maker will not film because of "another user is running Movie Maker on this computor... publish »

I'm trying to publish a movie on this computor in Windows Movie Maker. The files are .wmv with a band his .wav and are all stored on my computor. I performed this task with success several times and there is enough free space on the computor.

When I click on publish, there are a few seconds where he tries to publish, but then the program goes into a gel and the dialog box appears with the following: "another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computor. Please close the other session of Windows Movie Maker before starting Windows Movie Maker again".

When I click Close, there is an icon of wmv on my desk with the title of my project, but it is empty. I am the only user on this computor and I am puzzled as to why this should be implemented. I tried to turn the filters but nothing helped. One thing that I tried was to publish the band sound and the titles and credits without video files and I found it worked.

    Any ideas?

Thank you Volenteer J. How would you like to know if a .wmv file is corrupt? Is there something I can do to click the .wmv files that tell me if they are corrupt? I need to identify the files that are causing my problem.

    ==================================================
Sorry... but it seems that I have more questions than answers.

You said initially that you could publish the soundtrack and titles with success...
I was wondering if you tried to add a .wmv file to see if you could publish?

What was the source of the. WMV files? They are all from the same source?

They were converted from another format? If_Yes_ maybe another
Converter would be worth a try.

You change them widely? (split, rotation, transitions...)

There is a possibility that you could import the Windows Media .wmv files
Encoder and convert them to... .WMV to .wmv. Seems pointless, I know...
but it would create a new .version of the. WMV files and can fix that
    perhaps never the problem.

  • Spooler begins receiving false print jobs and they keep their appearance for as long as the RDP session is connected.

We're RDPing from Windows XP to a Win2003Server machine.

As soon as the connection is established the spooler begins to become bogus jobs... They appear on the spooler and quickly disappear (as is in printerd although nothing prints)
Although annoying, appears not to be a problem more. The problem is when the printer is offline.
I just erased more than 24 k jobs from a printer in offline mode.
If I remove the chekmark of the printer on the RDP protocol options the problem ceases, but this isn't a solution for me because I need to print to this printer.
I saw the problem listed on various forums but no official response from MS (or anyone at all).
    What could be the problem?

  • Launch of the RDP Sessions to the IP address of the Virtual Machine

Hi, I'm looking for a few lines of code to do the following:

    1. Read from a list of names of virtual machines in a textfile (between 1 to 25)

    2. Retrieving the IP address for each of the machines

    3. Launch an RDP session to each of the specified machinesusing IP address

    I have this so far:

    Get-Content "[Path to Text File]" | ForEach-Object {MSTSC /V:(Get-VMGuest -VM $_ | Select-Object IPAddress)}

I can't seem to get this to work (it opens RDP sessions to "@{IPAddress = System.String []}" "").

Bonus points if you can suggest a way I can get the multiple RDP sessions to launch within a unique custom MMC!

    Try to use

    Get-Content "[Path to Text File]" | ForEach-Object {MSTSC /V:(Get-VMGuest -VM $_).IPAddress}

Not sure how he will deal with more than one ip address well!

  • HDMI Audio driver disappears after the RDP session

I have a desktop PC that I use as a HTPC. It is running xp pro sp3. I have a graphics card Radeon HD5570 I use to connect it to my TV via the HDMI interface. I recently had a car accident and had to rebuild the system disk (re - install windows, drivers, etc.). I also have access to this computer from my office by remote desktop.
Here's the problem: I'm going to start the machine and the sound will come through the HDMI audio device on the graphics card. Later, I will connect to the machine remotely, and sound come RDP to my work PC. I'll cut and go home, but the HDMI audio device will no longer work until a reboot. HDMI audio is not listed in the menu sound options, but it shows up on Device Manager.

How can I keep the computer from the oblivion of the HDMI audio device when I connect to RDP?

If you use the catalyst driver version 12.4, there may be a bug in the driver as described in the following link:

  • Black screen on computer Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 after the opening session in Windows 8 screen

I return this laptop Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 about a month and it has Windows 8. I start the laptop and once I enter username and password, I have a black screen with the mouse pointer. Lenovo support has been useless. They asked me to run c:\windows\system\restore\rstrui.exe by using the Task Manager, but I get the file not found. When I go to the command prompt by using the Task Manager and check dir listing in the directory of restoration, it shows empty.

Very frustrated. Can someone please help here on the Microsoft Forum?

    Thank you in advance.

It seems to me a solution, it worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you as long as you experience the same problem.

Because you can always go to the sign in screen, do the following:

Click on the power icon in the lower right to open the menu,

Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking the button of /restart/ once.

A screen will appear after a few moments.

Click and follow the instructions /Refresh/ and let him go during its cycle...

    all fixed!

  • RDP connection in view the client session

    Hello

We test see 3.1.2 in a small "lab scenario:

1 view connection server (win2003 R2 SP2, 2 vCPU VM, 3 GB of RAM). No server replica or security.

1 automated pool (3 VM, not persistent, linked clone)

Reading documentation (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/view31_manual.pdf - page 33 to 36) and inspect the connections, we don't understand the customer to view (windows) connects to the server via http (s) connection. Then the server itself starts the RDP session to the virtual desktop VM (see Agent).

Is there a way to configure the connection to the server to behave as a 'simple' - broker for connections (just able to check the credentials of the user and, on this basis, check the resources available) and then allow the client to direct connect vDesktop via RDP?

The goal here is to lighten the load of the server, without losing the 'automated pool' features and benefits...

  • From AnyConnect VPN through an RDP Session

    Hello

We have AnyConnect (ver. 3.1.01065) set up on our ASA5520 boxes. VPN works well from the office, but I also need the ability to establish a VPN connection through a RDP connection (i.e. I use RDP to connect to a PC that has installed AnyConnect, then try to establish a VPN connection).

I downloaded the Cisco VPN profile editor, chaned the option to 'AllowRemoteUsers '. Then the relevant group policy profile applied. Connected PC (and not via RDP) VPN, so that it downloads the new profile and then disconnected again.

However, I can't yet start VPN through an RDP connection. (Error is "the ability to set up VPN for remote desktop is disabled.) A VPN connection cannot be established.")

I checked the file XML on the local PC to confirm the profile was downloaded (and is, and I do not see the option AllowRemoteUsers.)

This has also happened with the previous AnyConnect version (3.0.xxxx).

Local routing tables of the PC look good, and I don't see any conflicts that would cause the RDP session to drop.

Also - if I connect the VPN, then RDP on the PC, the VPN and the RDP sessions work fine.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Tony

    Hi Tony,.

To do this both the ASA and the client must have the same XML profile.

I just tested this with AC 3.1 and ASA 8.4 and it works beautifully.

    I included the XML file.

    * BTW, make sure that the profile is assigned to the appropriate group strategy.
