watermark "Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7601" on the right.

After the automatic update, it appeared a watermark "Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7601" on the right

What this indicates

Does this mean that my windows is not genuine

The test Mode watermark is shown when when a startup option is set on allow drivers not signed by Microsoft to be used.

Confirm what you see is as described here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ntdebugging/archive/2011/08/05/for-testing-purposes-only-and-other-desktop-watermarks.aspx

    Test Mode Windows 7?

OK, I see this watermark on my desk that says Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7601...  I tried to get help for this Microsoft response team, or what ever and, apparently, the guys do not understand what I was talking about...

My windows is genuine, I ran the tool and he says real, I can't activate again cause the computer does not give me an option for.  The windows is already activated.   I tried to open cmd and do a command that is supposed to turn off test mode or something... and even though he says he managed the brand of water is always on my screen.

    Anyone know anything about this?

Hmm not what I expected. you do not have any windows release candidates installed

You can try this option to remove the watermark.

I saw this in your diagnosis, but I don't think it's related to the watermark.
I found this relative to this error by Christmas D Paton.
HrOnline: 0x80072EE7: this error code means "Address cannot be resolved" this refers to the address of the activation servers or servers of Validation.  In plain talk, it means that your computer can not find the place, he has to go to activate or Validate. Usually, this is caused by a misconfigured firewall or a Proxy.
Which depletes what I know on the subject.

  • How can I get rid of the tattoo "Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7600" after an upgrade of Vista with the package?

Just upgraded Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium with the version updated official (box set). Update went well, but I now have a "Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7600" watermark in the lower right. I entered the activation during the installation, and there is no section in the control panel to activate manually, so I guess the activation went well. How can I get rid of this watermark?

You can deactivate the Test Mode by typing bcdedit/set testsigning in the command prompt.

If the command above does not work, try:

Open again (run as administrator) command prompt and type the following command:

    bcdedit.exe - set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe - set off the TESTSIGNING

You seem to have a fairly large number of problems with applications to crash, Windows crashing, unable to start services and other problems.

You seem to have performed following security real time software...

    Norton 360

    Windows Defender

    SpyBot

There seems to be a number of errors that are related to corrupted data - caused either by disc problems, RAM or other hardware issues.

I think I would start by checking the RAM...

    Follow the instructions here...

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/105647-RAM-test-Memtest86.html

and post back with your results.

So who gets a certificate of good health, check your hard drive...

Click Start > all programs > Accessories

Right-click on the entry of the command line

Select run as administrator and accept the UAC - elevated command prompt window prompt should appear.

    At the command prompt, type

    CHKDSK C: /R

    and press the Enter key.

We'll tell you that the drive is locked and the CHKDSK run at next startup - press Y and restart.

The CHKDSK command will take a few hours depending on the size of the disk, so be patient!

Once executed, the command CHKDSK Windows should start normally (possibly after a second auto).

Post a new application event log after you restart.

  • "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" and the slow boot after malware removal

HP Pavilion dm4 my daughter recently started to take about 10-15 minutes to start, tell me that he had become infected by something questionable. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, with AVG free anti-virus.

When we noticed the problem first, AVG has been disabled (probably by malware), and I could not turn it back on. He would not run a scan at all. I have scanned it with Norton Power Eraser and their free bootable scanner, nor identified any problems. I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode, and it found several files associated with Yontoo, which he deleted. I ran ccleaner, including the registry cleaner. At this time, AVG was returned to service, so I ran a full scan with it. AVG found several files associated with OpenCandy, which he deleted. A scan later Malwarebytes came clean.

For now, the system seems to work fine, EXCEPT: there are still a huge amount of time to start - several minutes between each step. And now, the desktop appear intermittently a message which reads: "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine".

I found a lot of discussion online about this error message, but it seems that each of them (which I reviewed) has a different twist to what I feel.

Any suggestions for next steps? Thanks in advance.

To recover the files please see paragraph 7.4 in the link here:

Alternatively, you can run chkdsk from the other computer hard disk.

When you have recovered your data files you can restore settings.

  • How can I solve this problem... windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine

    Hello

I have a laptop Packard Bell Easynote I bought a few years back from a major retailer of the high street.

I the have not used for a few months.

Today I turned on it & it is automatically downloaded & installed a load of updates of Windows 7.

Now I have a regular black desktop and a note at the bottom right, "windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine".

I am running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, service pack 1.

How can I tell the laptop that my copy of windows is genuine. ??

Please answer each of the following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions in a list numbered corresponding type in your very next answer, preferably without quote my post:

    1. when (date approximately) did you buy the computer?

1B. not a Win7 64 bit are preinstalled on the computer when you bought it, did you do a clean install of Win7, or did upgrade you the computer to Win7?

    2. What is the full name of your application or the installed antivirus security suite and when (date about) is your subscription current expires? What (other than Defender) anti-spyware applications are installed? What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

3 a Norton or McAfee application ALREADY installed on the computer as you bought?

    4. do you have a free trial Norton or a test of free McAfee [CHOOSE ONE ANSWER] come preinstalled on the computer When you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).

    5. KB2925418 is, KB2929961 and/or KB2930275 listed in installed updates(not update history)? [1]

    5b. How about KB2909921, KB2916036, KB2912390 or maybe KB2909210?

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is genuine & Office 2010 (Word, Excel) does not

After a recent update of Windows (classes 1-2 weeks), I now get a watermark on my desk that says "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine". My Office products 2010 (Word, Excel) are not responding after a few minutes of use. I have an acer PC, Windows 7 has been installed at the factory. A lot of discussions about this on the interweb, what should I do?

    Thanks for the quick responses.

I tried to run SLUI.exe 4 several times but nothing happens when I click on the file in the search results.
I tried to run MGADIAG.exe but it also hangs whenever I click to start the process.
I have however F8 during the restart and SELECT LAST GOOD KNOWN CONFIGURATION. He has since removed the watermark.
Microsoft Office applications still suspended - even the after typing simple text.
Whereas a system restore, but having problems creating a recovery disk that I don't have a CD that came with the PC. I have only a Windows 7 repair disc when the PC has been used first, I created.
I was able to back up all my files, so that's a plus.
    Can use the OK browser.

  • Windows 7 - Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine

    Hello everyone.

Im a newbie here so I hope I get this right.
I have a question about this message on my desk to read "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine."?
I bought this Satellite c660 to Qatif in Saudi Arabia and now he's here in the Philippines.
My laptop is Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. It asks for a product key and I can't find one. There is no product in the background key sticker and I don't know where to get that.
I ran a diagnostic and I hope this helps.

    > How can I get a copy?
If your laptop was initially shipped with Win7 preinstalled and you want to now order original Toshiba Recovery disk for your laptop that you can do it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
    >... where I can find a product key that I use to activate windows?
You can not find it. I put t understand your question. If you use OS Toshiba you n t need activation code, but if not you and if pre-installed OS is installed with the installation of Microsoft disk you need to pay for a valid license.

All the time, you're in the magic circle. You always ask the same question, but somehow, you don t read what other people write here. Please read another thread - http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=262518

  • Impossible to upgrade, receives the message - Windows 7 build 7601 and this copy of windows is not genuine

    Original title: Please help me!

    Hello

IM using legal windows 7 ultimate and I go to control panel, then upgrades to windows, because I wanted to get my updated pc updated so I started to update and when he finished I asked me to restart the computer now or the manual later so the upgrade will be activated or something like that. I chose here to my departure from pc restart as usual, but when I check the desktop after restart, I saw in the bottom right there is a text that I've never seen before. The text says Windows 7 build 7601, and this copy of windows is not genuine. I don't know how to remove it. And I don't know I got her here, because I have legal windows not purchased second hand or something like that. I used my computer with this window for 1 and 3 or 4 months and I have never see this before. Please help me how to solve this problem.

  • "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine". Really? Why now after 1 1/2 years?

Yesterday a notice appeared on the lower right of my saying (black screen) desktop "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine." The computer is a Dell XPS1702x I bought the 29/08/2011 and never had a problem before. I have two drives to Windows 7 Ultimate and Office 2010 Professional Plus, that are installed on the system. I have read other threads and will display the results of the diagnostic MGA. The computer seems to operate normally, other than the appearance of the desktop. Thank you.

ignore the error message. the report will still be copy and paste.

Activation and Validation issues more look the same on the surface, but can have many different causes and bugs. This is why we ask a diagnostic report and it is also why we are asking that you create your own thread for your question (in other words, do not post your question in another thread).

It is simply too complicated to try to resolve the multiple problems in the same thread.

How to post in your own thread

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 no real error

Get the black screen with Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine.

Used for about a week, worked well, and had made several rounds of Windows Update, no problem.  Other MS updates (mainly associated offices) took place Saturday, and updates correctly installed, but followed this message not authentic.

Dell laptop is refurbished and had not been activated by the new owner before the start of this problem.  No activation or code statement has been included in the package.  Now, the activation process does not work with key code located in the battery compartment.  He gave the Code: 0x8004F903 installation Code: ITF (0x04) and Setup error: 0xF903(63747L).  I also noticed that on the page of the system down to Windows activation it says not available status and product ID: not available.
