• Satellite R830 and Windows 10 question webcam

  The Microsoft Upgrade Advisor said that my Satellite R830-182 would be allowed to switch to Windows 10, so I made the leap. Everything works fine, except the webcam of Toshiba. Device Manager States "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)" and click on "update drivers" is futile.

  The Toshiba site looking for an updated driver, I found that this model is not in their models supported for Windows 10, despite the advice of Mrs.

  Anyone know if there is a way around this problem (another pilot?), or it is impossible to get this webcam works in Windows 10?

• Webcam is blurry on the brand-new Satellite C660

  I just bought my Satellite C660 Saturday and have just opened the webcam for the first time.
  It is REALLY blurry. I can't seem to find an option in the settings to fix, and I gave him a towel to check that it was not just dirty.

  I read the posts about the different lights that can affect the quality of the image, but I just tested it out in the different lights and it did make a difference.

  Can someone give me advice! I'm not really a techno person and I really want the webcam to work so I can use Skype!

  Hello.

  I recently updated my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit).
  When I did, I went through the typical rigmarole of updating my drivers and reinstall some programs or games lost. What I wasn't expecting, it was for my camera to completely stop working.

  I reinstalled the software of the camera, and it seemed to work until I tried to take a snapshot with the software after that. Now, the camera records video and audio recording, but it will not instant (I mainly use for).

  If I click on the Snapshot button, she acts like I clicked it, but no preview image and no new photos are saved in the folder my pictures.

  Any ideas? Or advice? Or help? Thank you!

  Whenever I tried to use an application requiring the webcam (Skype, for example), a message saying that the webcam is in use by another application appeared. I tied reboot nothing helps.

• Satellite X 200: Webcam locked by another program

  I had the problem with the webcam on my X 200 where it says "Camera locked by another program".
  I updated the driver and now the camera works ok for 2 seconds and then turns all black.
  However, when I enter the Options menu of the camera has no problem of image preview in the Options window, but when I switch back to the regular preview window or try to use with the Messenger, it works only for 2 seconds and then turns off.

  I tried several different drivers, but nothing seems to work... Any advice will be greatly apprecciated.

• A damaged bezel affect webcam?

  I took my Toshiba netbook to a PC shop for cleaning (not a clean system, but a review medical cleaning of screen, keys etc.). When I picked up they told me that even if they used the same solution they always use, it has damaged the bezel (removed the shine and scratching the plastic) around the screen.

  They order a spare part for me, but I want to know if this will also affect the webcam?

  I think that no one can say with certainty if the webcam may be damaged or not. Manage your laptop carefully until it will be repaired and exchanged the damaged part.

• Satellite C650-1CR - no webcam showing in Device Manager

  I apologize if this question has already been posted. I have a Satellite C650-1CR; PSC08E-029001EN part number; Serial number 7A370192Q. Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

  The webcam, which has worked before, does not now in any program. In MSN it says I have no webcam; in Toshiba Face Recognition, he says camera failed to initialize. I have nothing to this fact - it has just stopped working. If I click on the Toshiba web camera application in the utilities section, nothing happens. The camera does not appear in Device Manager - there is no device images shown.

  I read through the advice here and you have downloaded the driver here, but that does not open. He goes as far as the extraction of the file, but then it will not run or open. I have the latest BIOS (update from Toshiba a couple of days). If I can avoid it, I don't really want to use the recovery disk I have many other things on my laptop that I don't want to lose.

  Any advice or help would be really appreciated. My son just moved to Australia, and it would be great for me to be able to use the webcam. I hope I gave enough information on the laptop and the problem.

  Hey Buddy,

  So if there is no webcam listed in Device Manager, you must check the installed programs in Control Panel > uninstall a program. Usually the webcam software should be in there and if yes remove it. Then, restart your computer.

  To remove all also run a registry cleaner like CCleaner which can remove old registry keys. It s freeware tool is therefore no problem to find using Google. After that you have to reboot your laptop again and then install the latest webcam software from the official page of Toshiba.

  Even after restart and you should be able to use the webcam again. Can you confirm this?

  Did you choose this internal webcam as default device in the Skype settings?
  You should do this!

  I put t know if my advice will be useful for you as I don t have the A300, but another internal a series with the webcam.

  In my case, I have access to the software of the webcam. It appears in the taskbar.

  -Double-click and go to the settings.
  -You will find different tabs. Go to the tab called images.
  -Here, you should find the setting and the path to the images created.

  I recommend you to check the source where the created images were stored.

  1. There are 2 missing drivers in the Device Manager: VID SM Bus controller 1022 DID 780 b and USB - controller VID 1022 DID 7812. On PCIDatabase, they were listed as AMD drivers. I installed the driver USB Toshiba (2.0.7.176) page AMD, but the drivers are still missing. Or do I have to install other drivers AMD? Should what drivers I install anyway? So far I have LAN, Webcam, USB, sound and display.

  And what operating system are you using? Win7 64 bit perhaps?

  If the webcam is installed correctly (listed in the Device Manager) and works with Toshiba webcam application must also works with Skype. Check Skype video options. Cam should be recognized automatically and avoid any problems with cam and microphone.

• Satellite P300D: Win XP problem display & webcam driver

  Just bought the P300D Satellite with amd and active almost managed to XP operating system.
  Fortunatelly Toshiba provides enough drivers XP but the series driver and webcam driver ATI does not work.

  The ATI installer does not recognize the hardware and the driver for the webcam is not found.

  All advice that I was wrong?

  The Toshiba driver page seems offers XP drivers for four different sets of Satellite P300D!
  Have you chosen the series laptop right from the driver download form?

  What version of operating system XP do you have installed?
  From my own experience, you need a XP with SP2.

  Don t install SP3 before you install not XP drivers on the laptop.
  Even if the driver XP Toshiba have been installed on your laptop I would test the laptop without SP3 installed due to some compatibility problems.
