Webcam HP Truevision HD problem

Hello

I have a problem with my webcam in need of you guys.

First of all, my laptop is HP Envy Touchsmart laptop j78ca. I am using 8.1 Windows 64-bit.

Recently I just install Cyberlink Youcam 6.0. And when I tried to launch this software to view my webcam, it worked but then about 10-15 seconds, there was a message that says "connecting to your webcam has been lost. Then I clicked 'OK', immediately, another message appeared saying "Youcam found a new webcam (HP Truevison HD), you want to start using it?", even once, I clicked 'Yes' and then the previous rebrousse path message a "the connection has been lost...» "and she repeats like this forever

So I am writing this topic to ask you for help. Thank you very much!

Hey Tu_Chau,

I would recommend that you go to your startup items and services and disable all startup webcam software. This way nothing should use the webcam but the application you opened manually.

You can do this by following this guide: How to perform a boot in Windows.

This should fix the problem with the webcam is in use by other applications while increasing performance and system startup times.

  • Security webcam - Ideapad Z series problem

I would like to know an answer to simple questions YES or NO:

    (1) is it normal that a LED flash webcam behavior when Lenovo Idelapad Z710 is turned on?

    (2) YOUR webcam LED flashes when you turn on the laptop computer?

I am concerned about safety. My computer hacked to the University network and therefore the webcam LED starts flashing when the laptop is power on. I don't really know if it flashing before my computer pirate, that's why I'm asking here.

More detailed description if you wanted:

    -Webcam is a function normally.

-The LED will light up for a second or two, when the laptop is turned on, then turn off.

-The LED does not light when the laptop is awake from sleep / hibernation.

-The LED light even when the drive is unplugged and removed from the laptop.

-J' did some speak with a local repairman for lenovo, but we have been unable to fix it (EEPROM locked...), because there is no direct support for ideapad in my country.

-Flashing of BIOS has not helped, or any change in the BIOS.

If your answer is "It is normal..", please also answer if your webcam does the same.

If your answer "hacking BIOS/HW is not possible..." "Well, it is possible, for example, see: http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/25425/hacking/bypass-secure-boot-uefi.html

    (1) YES and
    (2) YES.
The light of the camera on my Z710 happens every time I turn on my laptop. Without being an expert or anything like that, I think it is the awakening that gets the camera from the BIOS when you turn your Z710.
If a person in the community is more tech savvy, could you please confirm that this is the case?

  • Slow FPS for HP TrueVision HD Webcam

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, product number: LM720AV.

Using the video capture software pre-installed, I received a really fuzzy, slow video. Thinking it was the software, I downloaded a free program that has had the same result - the freeware actually clocked the pace at 1-3 frames per second.

Thinking that maybe it was an old driver, I tried to update through my device manager. Unfortunately, who has not solved the problem, as the driver - which is be CyberLink (Cyberlink Webcam virtual driver) - has proved to be up to date. When you ask a friend who also has a fairly new HP laptop on this subject, I found that his old webcam 'HP TrueVision"captured video at around 30 FPS.

Surely the most recent version "HD" of this impossible webcam of poorer quality than the previous version, could? Is it possible for me to use Skype and record video at a higher rate? Any help to solve this problem is highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot, RobJeffersonand sanjeevkafle. Rob for the original response and sanjeev for help Visual theadded!

Quick Note: I found this just tick the box of 'Auto' for the exhibition before turning off the 'low backlight Compensation' - are both on the "Camera Control" tab - will solve the problem. the other options can be adjusted at your convenience. After turning off the low light Compensation, YouCam display has become almost black for me, but after restarting the software, I found that the photo adjusted to the light and works great.

Again, thank yout to RobJefferson and sanjeevkafle. Well done to you two.

  • (HP TrueVision HD) webcam is not detected in dv6-6179er.

After the installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my dv6-6179er I expericed integrated WebCam (HP TrueVision HD) cannot be set. I tried to implement the package of drivers from the official site, but it was not useful.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a specific driver for the WebCam for dv6-6179er.

    Device Manager.

    Thank you!

If your laptop is still under warranty (standard warranty is one year) then I suggest you to contact HP for warranty repair. In other words, unless you choose to open it on your own to reinsert the conector webcam, you did all you can do.

  • Adobe Presenter video Express: problem with webcam Logitech c920

    Hello

I have a problem with Adobe Presenter Video Express, when I want to use the camera Logitech c920. (computer laptop Dell Vostro 3560, Windows 7-64 bit, 8 GB of RAM, memory)

When I launch the program and start creating the new project, I see only a black screen with the error message "your webcam is busy or it does not." "Try closing other applications that might be using the webcam and select it again. But when I press "record", program begins to make the video - and the webcam works. My problem is that I can't use video effects to change the background: I can't see Preview video/webcam with button "make my impressive background." When I switch to the integrated webcam, it works without problems, including the function of substantive change.

I have closed all other programs. I restarted the laptop. I deleted and reinstalled the drivers for the camera. But it still does not work properly.

Any suggestions how to solve the problem?

    Thank you

    Hi George,.

In our tests, we saw that the Logitech C920, must the last driver of Logitech and the software must be installed so that it works correctly. Please make sure that you are picking the latest driver from the following link:

    http://support.Logitech.com/product/HD-Pro-webcam-C920#download

If installing this driver does not resolve this issue, then please try the following:

    1. Sometimes, the webcam is busy on the launch of the app. Select the camera, then the Logitech camera to try a fix for this problem.
    2. Some Bluetooth drivers interfere with the functioning of the app. Disable all Bluetooth devices and see if it solves the problem.
    3. Send us a journal of diagnosis of the problem. You can follow the steps in this link to launch the application in diagnostic mode: presenter help | Adobe Presenter Video Express (Windows & Mac) . When you close the application, you will need to send us the diagnostic log. Please send it to [email protected] . A journal of diagnosis can help us to quickly solve the problem.

If the problem is not resolved, can we get a Connect session to debug the issue? You can contact us at [email protected] with a suitable date and time, and we will solve it through Connect. We are available Monday - Friday, 18:30 - 11:30 PST.

    Thank you

PS: as a temporary workaround, you can check without changing the background, then the change in the background inside the editor using the option "Video improve."

  • HP Pavilion 15 t-n200: HP Pavilion 15 t n200 - ANOTHER problem of flag - DISPLAY messed...

So, I bought laptops 15 t-n200 of TWO 2 HP Pavilion last year, and here it is the specs:

    • S window 7 Home Premium 64
    • 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U processor + Intel® HD graphics card
    • diagonal 15.6-inch BrightView HD (1366 x 768) LED backlit
    • 8 GB of DDR3 (1 Dimm) system memory
    • 750 GB 5400 RPM hard drive
    • No Softw are additional Office
    • Security Softw are trial
    • Battery 4 cells Lithium-Ion
    • SuperMulti 8 X DVD +/-R/RW w ith Support Double layer
    • Standard keyboard (black)
    • Webcam HP TrueVision HD w ith Dual digital Microphone (black mineral)
    • 802.11b/g/n WLAN [1 X 1]

The first of the NIC card went bad, then had to send it back and they sent me a HP Envy.  It works very well.

Now, the second cell of 15 t-n200 HP Pavilion, less used because an employee currently, screen shows horizontal white lines across the entire screen.

    I have:

    1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled the graphics card
    2. Restored to a previous restore point
    3. It was restarted in safe mode and result of the diagnostic stuff
    4. Rebotted and restarted

The lines went away for about 30 minutes after the restoration of windows, but finally they came back and the screen is more often just now.

I have a beautiful, like new, HP Pavilion 15 t-n200 that seems to be DEFECTIVE. Ironically, just like this one.

I remember at the time where Dell was the big name in portable PC.  When I worked for GE, Dell embarquerions computers laptops new for us, for our Department that would not last a month, or the keyboard could not be broken up (even if the box was not), etc.

I promised myself after that experience of being a man of HP, but it's flat disappointing...  Two flags which broke out, before the expiry of the guarantee and the other after the expiration of the warranty...

Even if I don't feel like there is nothing I can do at this point, I am open to all to give a final blow to this laptop.  Anyone have any ideas?

I am very disappointed with HP... There, the quality became atrocious over the years.  Problem after problem... I'm tired of it...  If this issue cannot be solved, I'll take my business to Toshiba... or even Lenovo (IBM Stinkpads)...

THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IS:

.. .drum roll... NOT to BUY HP LAPTOP PAVILION... NEVER!

I have been contacted by a case manager, but it doesn't have a lot of help, as all he could do was offer repair me the laptop at a price that is outrageous compared to the initial cost of the laptop.

But why would I want a laptop faulty return?  This is the reason why HP WILL NOT receive any business from me in the future.

I bought TWO 2 HP Pavilion 15 t - n200 Notebooks (exact same configurations - exactly what was suggested):

-Purchased directly from the HP Store homepage

-Both bought within two months of the other

    -Both shipped from China

-The two end up having defective parts, giving them a useful life of less than a year for a single and a little more than one year for each other.

-Laptop 1 had a faulty NIC card, 2 portable has a defective video card or the LCD

-Two laptops were PC replacements and barely moved.

What are the chances that BOTH of these books have defective parts?

HP does not seem to think nothing of it, I have increased my case and their climbing team, which is supposed to meet before the end of the next business day, NEVER communicated with me when I told him my concerns of a range of defective products and/or the production cycle...

If you have this problem, it is my view that the same given the support of options gives you, you unfortunately bought a LEMON.  At least, that's how I think of her and lost nearly $600.  Never again...

  • Integrated webcam not working not

I just got a new Pavilion m6-1045dx (Windows 7 64 - bit operating system) last month, and the other day my built-in webcam suddenly stopped working. Turns off the video stream, and subsequent attempts to reactivate it (from the chat program that I ran) led to the video immediately shut off again. The light next to the camera lens (which indicates it's on) goes out as well.

I opened Cyberlink YouCam (software pre-loaded laptop to run the webcam), and nothing in the window that normally indicates the video stream. Rather than an empty box or error message, it's like there's a hole in the program. the box shows all programs running in the background, or the bureau, instead of displaying the video stream.

I checked the settings of Cyberlink YouCam; It allows me to select my webcam (HP TrueVision HD) and configure the options, but there is no change when I save it. I tried to upgrade the software to the latest version, but the problem persisted. Uninstall and reinstallation of the original version has not changed anything. I tried to restore my system to a recovery point before the problem, but nothing has changed. I did a scan of health without any detected problems. I even tried to restore the system to its factory settings, but it still has the same problem. I just uninstall the version of Cyberlink YouCam that came on the phone and he reinstalled from a new installation file downloaded from this site, still to no effect. I checked the webcam troubleshooting page for my model, but doing given has not changed anything. Or any other solution found on other sites.

Can someone tell me what to do now?

Hello Slater13. I understand that you are having problems with your built-in webcam. Is this correct?

You have covered most of the normal steps to solve the problem if it's associated software (uninstall/reinstall, restore points and even a resumption) without modification. This, for me, highlights a hardware problem. I made a post on the problems of webcam recently you can see here. However, you have tried these steps. Go ahead and try the hard reset of the laptop. Here are the instructions.

    1. Click Start, type "Device Manager" and press ENTER.
    2. Expand the "Imaging Devices" section and uninstall the webcam.
    3. Shut down the laptop.
    4. Remove all external devices.
    5. Remove the battery and AC power.
    6. Hold button power for 10-15 seconds.
    7. Replace the battery and AC power.
    8. Start Windows and go back to Device Manager.
    9. Select 'Action' and then 'search for material changes.
    10. Allow Windows and install and check the functionality.
    11. Display the result.

Due to the number of alternatives that you tried if it does not, I am convinced that this book will have to be repaired. In this case, I'd say contacting HP Support directly. If you are in the United States / Canada you can call to the 1-800-474-6836. If you are in another region of the world, you visit HP's Support around the world to find the coordinates for your region.

  • driver webcam for dv6-3141sl

    Hello everyone

I recently bought a hp pavilion dv6-3141sl, and the first thing I did was formatting to get rid of something useless.

the problem is that I deleted as something necessary, the recovery partition (which would be unnecessary if HP has actually put all its pilots on the site, I know that now, after the appeal for assistance)

the webcam (HP TrueVision) is working, but with pilots standard windows (win7 home premium 64-bit), it gives me really low resolution for a webcam that should be HD.

given that costs about 40 euros to buy the online recovery cd doesn't look good for me, is there anyone who has these drivers? or is there someone who has the partition recovery for this laptop and can extract the drivers of webcam and send them to me?

Thank you very much, and if more info is needed, I'll give you

Yes. I'm sure. Latest version of the software for your webcam-> MediaSmart Webcam here (version 4.1.3130 for 32/64-bit Win7).

    Hey Buddy,

Can send you more information about the exact model of laptop and operating system?

    What drivers you have updated?

Usually if you reinstall the driver for the webcam, this should solve your problem and should make the webcam usable again. You can download the new software of the webcam on the official website of Toshiba.
In addition, I recommend using a registry cleaner like CCleaner which can remove old registry keys.
