  • My desktop Dell - Vista - computer does not, the monitor says no entry and have to wake up computer

I have a desktop Dell Vista computer.  A few days earlier, when I pressed the power button to turn it on, nothing happened.  When I turned on the monitor, he says that he came into power saving mode.  When I checked the monitor once again, he said that there is no entry for the computer and press any key of the keyboard or mouse to wake up.

The computer is plugged in and the green light in the back is on.  I don't remember putting the computer to sleep.  I thought I made a stop for a few days in advance.  Press and hold the power button on the computer does not start it or turn it off.  There is no sound (such as a fan).  I unplugged the computer briefly a few times, and then I finally unplugged overnight and is plugged in.  Light lights up in the back, but is not the "num lock" key on the keyboard and the light under the mouse does not light.

I checked a few suggestions on this site, but they all require that the computer be on and you enter in this form or the screen.  Is the computer dead?

  • This computer does not meet the minimum requirements... when installing graphics Intel HD 4000 for my Dell Vostro 5560 with Windows 7 64 bit

In recent days, I reinstall Windows 7 to my Dell Vostro 5560 and this laptop does not have a driver CD, I downloaded all the required drivers for my laptop directly from the Dell Support Web site. I started to install a step by step. Chipsets, Audio, network, MEI, etc... However, once I try to install graphics, this laptop comes with 2 graphics card, an Intel and another is Nvidia. So, I try to install first Intel. When I click on the exe file, a message box appears saying that «this computer does not meet the minimum requirements...» ». Why is - what happened? I'm sure that my laptop include Intel graphics. Please help me as soon as POSSIBLE. I want to install Windows 7.

Some drivers of today require at least Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5. Is this possible?

It is certainly. AMD demanded 4 .NET. x + for their installer drivers for several years already, but I think they have started including with their driver downloads recently.

-I never noticed if Nvidia use .NET with their drivers Installer, install but .NET 4.5.

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 of the official Microsoft Download Center

  • Error installing Microsoft NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 Setup program has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software

I need to install Microsoft NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, as it is necessary to perform a Dell diagnostic Test, but I've been advised that: Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. Requirement: Windows install 3.1.

However, when I look at the download page of Windows Installer 3.1 is not actually as for XP with SP3. I tried anyway and: Setup has determined that the version of Service Pack for this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update. Well actually it is there...

Is there a way to get around this?

  • Error - NTLDR missing Windows XP Home computer does not start.

Original title: XP-based computer does not start.

XP Home does not start after I uninstalled a large file of Samsung mobile phone. I get a missing NTLDR error message and have had a System32 error as well, but there is no DOS prompt that would allow me to access anything whatsoever. Another problem is that I lost my installation CD. I initially bought this Dell PC nine over 6 years ago, so can provide identification details, if necessary program. Could someone tell me how I can make a recovery CD please? (No floppy drive not installed in the PC). To further complicate things (Yes, I know - I created many more problems that we all need), I have to keep my files on the hard disk, so cannot do a complete reformat, unless someone can tell how to save them somehow. My BACK skills could be summed up as "plodder inexperienced but determined!

The file might be missing or it could just be that XP can't find it if your file system has somehow got corrupted.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.

Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

System32 error, you see, is what exactly?

Depends on a few factors, there could be another copy of the file NTLDR in other places on your system, but you have to start on something to find out whether there is or not.

After answering the above questions, I begin to make a CD from Recovery Console bootable XP by running a chkdsk/r, first on your HARD drive and then see what is left to do.

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD (do not install UniBlue or the Ask Toolbar - never!):

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

    Dell inspiron 1501

    1. computer does not start after the Windows XP logo window
2 works well in safe mode, even connect to the external monitor
    3. I reinstalled xp many times, problem stil exist.

    All the answers?

    Hi dhanushm,

    1. What happens after the Windows logo screen?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?

    Method 1

As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • Dell Inspiron does not fully start

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 s with Windows Vista Home Basic. Last fall I had restored it and after that, it worked perfectly until about 2 months ago. After that I turned on the computer, it goes to the Dell logo, as usual, and then after that, it gives me a message saying press F1 to continue. I would tap it, then he would show a black screen with a flashing underscore. After a while it would not boot as usual. Recently, when underscore no longer blinks, he asked no longer to start as usual. It gives me a message saying that no boot device is discoverable and press ENTER to try again. I'll enter, but the same message arrives. I'll have to then turn off and on and keep pressing F1 until she FINALLY begins. With the changeover days, it takes more time and more time so that it can start and enter the Windows logo. I'm afraid that one day, it just won't start. I tried and tried looking for my problem but I don't know what it is. One popular response that came was my CMOS battery may go dead. So, I went and bought this past weekend. That didn't solve it. It still does start all the way. I also can't access the Menu ahead of time by pressing F8. I notice that rarely my computer will lead me to the Boot Manager to start upward on its own and from there I can start Windows normally and it starts without a problem. But I don't know how get you to this page manually. By pressing the bar space does not either. If I keep just press these keys, my computer makes a noise clicking / beep and nothing more. I was also wondering if a restore factory could get rid of this problem and make it again fresh. But again, one of the conditions for a factory restore is to disable and press F8 for Advanced Options and he won't be on the menu for me. So I'm stuck pretty well.

Overall, my problem is that my computer initializes more normally. I have to keep turning market until he finally gives in which case it can take hours. I desperately need help. I hope that I was fairly accurate. My computer is no longer under warranty and I can't afford any premium or other security package. Please, it's my only computer, and that's all what I have to work with. Thank you.

    Hello

A computer is supposed to make a single "beep" at startup.

If that in fact more than one, this indicates a hardware problem.

You will need to go to the Dell website and know what BIOS that you have in your computer model.

Then check in these links 'beep' error codes know what hardware has problems.

  • Computer does not recognize the CD Driver.

My computer does not recognize my CD driver or does not burn anything.  Just used this mother's day so I know it worked.  In the Device Manager under DVD/CD rom players, there is the DVD A DS8A2 currently ATA Device.  It has a yellow triangle with a! inside. When I click on properties of this, he says that the device cannot start. Code 10.  Tried to find solutions, but it does not allow me to do.  This same thing has happened, but I do not remember how to fix.  Help.

Try to take the cd player and plug in or go to the website of computer company and try to find drivers ex: dell, lenovo, sony, emichine ect.

    It has helped me.

  • My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.

My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.  I have to press the Start button, in the hold, and then after 20 seconds it turns off.  Often when I turn on the next time, it sometimes says Windows is not stopped successfully, but I know that all my programs had been closed.

My computer is Dell and my package is Windows Vista.  I have McAfee security set up and I bought Uniblue to try to help, but not joy.

I wouldn't use anything done by Uniblue, it does not work. It will make things worse.

I would like to uninstall Mcafee, and then use the removal tool to remove it completely. Install rather program AV from Microsoft.

  • Dell Inspiron does not go in GRUB after the stop of Kubuntu

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (Ubuntu) laptop and installed Kubuntu 15.10. No dual-boot. Kubuntu only.

Everything seems to work... with one exception: after closing down (or restarting) of KDE/Kubuntu, laptop computer does not successfully start only once.

When I shut down the system, everything seems ok. Then when you press the power button, I see the Dell logo for a short period of time (as a kind of progress downstairs bar) as usual. Then the screen flashes in different shades of black, nothing more. No GRUB menu. In this pressing situation ++ restart the laptop and GRUB is reached and everything works fine. Following restarts (without having to boot into Kubuntu) works also without problem. However as soon as I have boot into Kubuntu and start/stop from there to the next single boot of the laptop will fail.

Any idea what the problem might be?
